I just visited this market last night. I went in to go to the Deli, now I’m not one to pull the race card but I went up to the deli counter, pulled ticket number 000 and waited patiently in line, the old fat nasty white lady behind the counter seriously ignored me while I stood there, up comes this white guy took ticket # 001. She perked up and said may I help you to him. I laughed out loud, said«REALLY!» And then took my money to the Shop Rite down the street, yeah, the lines are longer but it’s clear why. Now did the nasty roast beef looking deli lady ignore me because I’m black… maybe, but I will never spend another green dollar or red cent at Acme again, and I will urge my friends to go elsewhere also, the way I was treated was just plain ugly from an ugly person. Ugly inside and out. If I could give a -***** I would.

It’s ok, parking lot is fine. Produce department is a little lackluster, it’s just small and not filled with a lot of variety. Standard grocery store meat, deli and dairy departments. Nothing super special, it’s clean and convenient.

This Acme location recently became my favorite store. It is in my new neighborhood and I have come to love my weekly grocery shop here. This location seems to be one of the older stores, since its a tad smaller than other Acme’s I have been to. This store has a cozy feel. Its not too big that finding something is daunting. I also love the staff. You really do get to know them, and as a rule they are all kind, helpful and friendly. I especially like Harry the bagger. Just a cheerful soul. It is very pleasant to shop here because you don’t get the riff raff that can make a simple thing such as grocery shopping a nightmare. Acme’s prices have also gotten much better and I love their promotions. I got two beautiful stainless Cusinart pans from their last stamp book promo!
