Cute place, incredibly tiny store front though located off the beaten path in Festus. We enjoyed the decorated cookies but the girl waiting on us was pretty clueless. I’d be interested in trying the cupcakes or cake pops.

I came to the door right at 5(closing time) to find it locked. As I turned to leave I hear the door open and the owner welcomed me in. I informed her that I had purchased a Groupon for the«stuffed cupcakes». She was very eager to help me pick out my 6 flavors which was great because I was clueless. Her employee looked to be younger but was also great at helping me pick out some flavors even though it was time to close up. The cupcakes look amazing, you can tell great detail went into every one. I would recommend this place for ANYONE. I’m a huge fan of local business and this place is a home run! I know the girls at the restaurant we own will love their surprise when they see what I have for them :)

We came here for my daughters first birthday and got her a smash cake that was all her own. I feel horrible for letting my one year old eat this before I tried it because it was disgusting. I know now that fondant isn’t supposed to be the best tasting stuff, but I wish the owner would have told us that. I admit the cake was adorable, but not worth the ridiculous amount we paid for it. When we first went in to order the cake, my husband and I saw they had some yummy looking cupcakes. Unfortunately, they were so bad that I wound up throwing all of them away. If you want something that looks really pretty but tastes gross, this is your place.

I finally stopped in… the variety was amazing! Prices are very reasonable and the cupcakes were delicious. I definitely plan to make this a regular stop.

Great cupcake including alcohol infused cupcakes! Very friendly helpful staff! I drove 45 minutes to get these cupcakes and boy were they worth it!

Wow. Just wow. I bought a groupon for this place months ago and I’ve been waiting for an occasion to use it. We finally decided to pick up the six stuffed cupcakes for my son’s birthday(he had a real cake the day we celebrated, these were just for his actual b-day). My husband choose double chocolate brownie which, oddly enough had white buttercream frosting. They were beautiful, I admit, but that’s where the positives come crashing to a hault. The first thing I did, being an extreme lover of all things chocolate, was to pick the cute little heart-shaped brownie off the top and pop it into my mouth. It was dry and hard and stale as all get out. It also had an odd almondy taste that reminded me of the stagnent water that collected in our water softener when it broke. Yuck. Next, I decided to dive into the luscious LOOKING buttercream. I say«looking» because it was, like the brownie, awful. Imagine taking powdered sugar and using just enough water to barely dampen it, and then using it to frost something. Yeah, yuck. It was even getting crumbly around the edges because it was so dry. I love sweets and nothing is ever too sweet for me but this was and it was beyond inedible. So after scraping the icing off, SweetTpies had one last chance to redeem itself, with some delicious stuffed cake. After a few bites I had to admit that it wasn’t bad. Definitely better than Betty Crocker but I’m still wondering if someone forgot the stuffing. The center was definitely gooier, but I’m not sure if it was stuffed with something or underbaked. Either way, it was the only part that I could eat, so I did. Will I be back? Not a chance. I am a huge fan of The Cup in the Central West End and I will continue to fight the traffic to get my fix. Their cupcakes are TODIEFOR and the coming from a girl that went to the mecca — Sprinkles in Beverly Hills — a few months ago. They have nothing on The Cup.

I shouldn’t feel guilty for stuffing my face with all this yumminess at SweetTpies. I ran 5 miles this morning and will run 9 tomorrow morning. Let’s say I’m «carbing-up» for my next race ;o) I can’t even begin to tell you what to try first. I’ve had the chocolate bacon, cake pops, cake push ups(really cool looking, would make wonderful party favors), and I’ve also tried the red velvet and the maple mini cupcakes. All that in less than 2 hours(don’t judge me). This place is rather unique. I’ll take a guess and say that the head baker/pastry chef(Tracy) is the mother(?) of the two wonderful and very courteous teenagers that greeted me when I came in and helped me choose from a wide variety of delectable goodies. They both were very professional and knew exactly what they were selling. They also packaged my goodies very neatly and carefully. Because I checked in on Facebook, I also received a free cupcake! The place is very clean, smells amazing when you come in through the door, everything is visually appealing and most importantly, everything I’ve tried thus far passes the taste test with flying colors! Give this place a try. It’s worth the drive from the Lou. The prices are very reasonable as well, unlike certain cupcake shops I’ve visited in the city that are way overpriced and don’t live up to the hype.
