Been going for years. Quality, delicious 20 years ago, and today. I’ve sampled much of the menu items. Delicious anchovy based salad dressing, perfect steaks, cod, fried chicken, twice baked potatoes, and best brisket ever. From Andy to the current Taytro’s owners, quality, service, and never a disappointment.

Ordered the filet $ 30.00 and a lobster tail $ 80 which should of been $ 110. When I got the check it was listed as «surf and turf» for $ 120. Now for the food. Clam chowder was good but lacked texture and wasn’t warm enough, I would however order it again. Steak was decent, actually I would say it was very fairly priced at $ 30.00. Lobster tail for $ 80 was good but the price was atrocious. Cheesecake was frozen but it was excellent. I’m in the food biz and eat all over the world, really intend to find out where they’re buying them at. Service was excellent. Our waitress Kris was very informative and attentive. Bar was well stocked, atmosphere was great. Would definitely go again had they not of been greedy and got me for 10 bucks. Would give 4 stars if it wasn’t for the price. Mastro’s in Beverly Hills charges $ 150 an entrée, didn’t expect it in Festus Missouri.

Quaint(some would call it old and dated) restaurant on Festus Main Street. We tried it on Valentine’s weekend when they had a limited menu. We were greeted immediately and shown our table, but given no menu or wine list. Just a few minutes the server came by and asked for our drink order. I was very surprised that we had no wine list as this is a «fine dining» establishment. I asked for one and she brought it right away. We choose a wine from the limited list(I assume since it was a limited menu weekend). Again, we were left with no water, no drinks and no menu. She returned with our wine and water, and kind of hesitated, so I wondered if she was going to read a short menu to us. We finally asked for a menu, she explained it was a shortened menu and brought them over. The service was perfect from that point forward, just a little odd at the beginning. We ordered Chardonnay(only 1 type of each wine on the limited weekend) it was a fine choice however it was served ice cold–(like beer temp cold) much below the desired temp for white or Chardonnay, and it had bits of cork floating in it. Again, neither of these things are horrible, but the is supposed to be a «fine dining» establishment. A wine fridge to keep wines at the right temp seems like a basic requirement. And a strainer to catch the cork also wouldn’t break the bank. Food review: Shrimp cocktail: 1 star-been in the fridge for a few days, limp, stale shrimp. Disappointing Salad– 2 stars. Dressing was likely from a bottle but good, 70% iceberg lettuce. 1 small tomato, carrot stick and celery stick. No imagination. Filet mignon– 4 stars. Cooked as ordered-good steak. Sides-twice baked potato– 1 star. stale, was baked and mashed a few days ago and reheated. The interior was pulverized no discernible cheese, chives or bacon. Green beans– 1 star. not fresh– perhaps frozen and reheated. Mushy/crunchy syndrome. Not good Grilled chicken over pasta in Gouda and roasted red pepper sauce– 4 stars. Great sauce! If I’m being picky-pasta was slightly over cooked and the extra fatty skin on the chicken should have been trimmed prior to serving– otherwise delicious. Cheesecake-5 stars. So good-exactly the way cheesecake should be. Total bill-$ 100 before tip. Probably not worth it. It’s unfortunate because I was hoping that new ownership would have at least updated/improved the food quality and menu.

Good for a nice little romantic dinner. Quite and dim inside. Service was good and the fried chicken juicy and crispy. Haven’t been in a long time though.

The atmosphere was neat. Food was excellent. Never had a steak I could cut with a butter knife. It melted in my mouth. My husband had the pasta, excellent. Service was excellent. Will definitely return when given the chance!!!

Excellent filet! Nice atmosphere & decent wait staff. Don’t pass up dessert. The coconut pie is over the top! Casual dress is fine. It was nice to go into a place without a TV in every corner of the dining room. May not want to bring the kids do to the plethora of naked lady pictures all over. I guess they think this is what french dining rooms are like.

I was afraid that with new ownership they would have came in and changed a whole bunch of things but we went on Valentine’s Day and it was the same. So thankful for that!!! Love the old time décor of the bar side and so glad they did not change a thing! Although I will admit that the other side of the restaurant needed to be worked on years ago. I am glad that it still makes you feel like you are stepping back in time and can unwind and relax with a old friend. I was afraid they would change the menu all up, get rid of long time favorites and change the décor to your typical«chain» kind of place with tons of TV’s and loud music. We met the new owner and he was very pleasant to talk to. I REALLYWISHTHEYHADTHECHOCOLATEMOUSSEANDTHATITALIANLEMONCAKESTILL, hint hint :) Keep up the good work guys!

The best steak in the area that I’ve been able to find, hands down. It’s cute inside, the service is always great and the steaks are excellent. You will be full when you leave. I’ve been probably 6 times and always get the strip or fillet, and a great salad and twice baked potato. The prices are up there but you get what you pay for, if you’re cheap then go to Texas Roadhouse or something like that, this is a great place to eat. Check it out!

Wow. The filet is amazing. Will definitely be back. The service was great. It may not look like it from the outside but please try it as you will not be disappointed.

Great dining experience last night. We liked the ambiance, food and service. This is not a chain restaurant that is duplicated in every city in the U.S. Petit Paree has ambiance and character – we love the timeworn look and it fits the French bistro menu(and escargot is on the menu). The special of the evening was a filet on a stuffed Portobello and it was great. A nice touch was having sides that were seasonal and not just menu sides. Their house salad dressing is Mayfair which is seasoned just right and salads have homemade croutons – and homemade garlic toasts are on each table. I planned to pass up dessert but the tray was just too tempting and my choice of coconut pie was worth every calorie. The owner was onsite and my husband and I very much enjoyed chatting with her about the adventure of renovating an older restaurant. Renovations are still ongoing but do not interfere with dining. We will return often to enjoy this gem in Jefferson County. I hope they do not change it – just sitting at the bar would be a true relaxing pleasure.

I thought with the change in ownership, Petit Paree would change the décor, atmosphere and update the menu. Apparently, the owners want to keep it the same olé. :( They offered no baked potato and walmart rolls instead of some good Midwest bread. Would have been great to have some live music instead of the slow background music. On the positive side, the fish and steak were great The wall paper looks like it is from the 1970s.

The food and service were excellent and they were very attentive to my gluten intolerance. I had the Swai fish with sugar peas and twice baked potato and it was scrumptious. My husband had the petit filet and loved it. Such a great find on our road trip up I-55. Highly recommend Petite Paree even if it means a drive and a little extra cash. Not pretentious — you don’t need to get dressed up.

Not a giant fan of Jefferson County, but it’s great that they have a restaurant that serves food of this caliber at reasonable prices, plus the atmosphere is better than a lot of other places in town. Quiet, good lighting, and they pour great drinks. A great place to take a date when you don’t mind splurging a bit and if you’re tired of the limited choice of restaurants in town.

My sister just had her rehearsal dinner here the other night and it was DELICIOUS! The steak was made exactly how I asked for it to be made, the twice baked potato was delicious. And the staff did an amazing job accommodating our large group. I ate too many of the rolls; which were fresh and warm. Good place for fine dining in Festus.

I challenge anyone to find a better restaurant in a 25 mile radius. I probably would give it 4 stars in a major metro area but I’ll give them an extra star for bringing a taste of gourmet to a culinary wasteland and for making my Grandma so happy. Grandma loves their lobster and talks about it all the time. I have to say I was surprised how tender and delicious the lobster tasted despite it’s previously frosty state. Everything else we had also did not disappoint. For a real meal and break from the smörgåsbord of fast food places and smorgasbords, Petit Paree

5 stars on their chicken wings. If you go there, no matter what you gotta get these as an appetizer. They are probably the best wings I have ever had and I have tried hundreds of places.

There isn’t a whole lot of fine dining down in Jefferson County, but Petit Paree is delicious no matter where it’s located. Petit Paree has been in business for over 45 years, so you know they know what they’re doing. The mood here is elegant but unpretentious, and the wait staff is very friendly. When I come here, I usually get the frog’s legs(which I can’t get anywhere else, it seems). I’m dying to try their escargot(which they were out of when we came). If you’re in the Festus area already and haven’t taken advantage of this gem, you’re crazy. If you’re not living in Festus and haven’t been to Petit Paree, you need to remedy that quickly.
