Stay far far away from Palmer’s Fireworks as the owner carries a gun and doesn’t seem to be mentally stable. I was supposed to meet the owner, John Palmer, at 7:30PM to workout the details for a film project. When he finally arrived, it was almost 10PM. No phone call. No apologies. He just started to rant about how he lost so much money due to the floods. His property backs up to the Trinity River, which we all know has been flooded due to recent rains. However, his rants were non-stop and was further delaying the video shoot. Shortly after the video shoot began, one of the participants(who was not part of our in-house film group) had to leave. For some odd reason, John Palmer had closed the gates to his front property while we were still filming(perhaps to fake a story to milk cash out of the next victim?). As the person was leaving, John went on a tirade and floored his ATV to confront the individual approximately ¼ mile away. For whatever reason, John let this individual go and then demanded our film crew to pay $ 900 to fix his gate. He stated that all the sheriffs in town were his«buddies», that he could do whatever he wanted and that we’d all be arrested. We tried to explain to him that we did not damage the gate, that his gate costed $ 319 after a quick search online and that we would be willing to let him hold onto a $ 1,200 camera lens so that we could go home and try to help him contact the person who damaged his gate in the morning and get our equipment back. The only reason we offered this is because we were exhausted and were frightened by his threats. There’s no reasoning with John Palmer. He started calling everyone a-holes, bitc-, etc etc and stormed off again to prevent anyone else from leaving. He held us hostage for more than 2 hours until finally we had to call the police ourselves. It was hilarious to find out that his sheriff«buddies» didn’t seem to care about John Palmer and let us go about our business.

Ever wonder why Palmer’s Fireworks has 205 star reviews on Facebook and nothing less than 5 stars? The owner, John Palmer, bribes others for his reviews. Yes, he offers you $ 100 to leave a 5 star review. So the 5 star reviews are just a façade. What’s John really like? This guy unjustly took out his personal frustrations out on others. He still has my camera equipment and refuses to return it. Fine. He also a ball of complaints and lies. I read his Facebook wall about a recent film project to help promote his business. I was part of the film crew. This is straight from this Facebook post«they all lived in Highland Park, down here shooting a you tube video, using a drone. Just young disrespectful assholes. They had way north of $ 10,000 worth of equipment with them last night.» Way to skew the information… we never said we were from Highland Park, or that we had«way north of $ 10,000 worth of equipment» nor were we disrespectful. He wanted us to pay for someone else’s damages. Let me remind you that it was you who raised your voice, calling people«as-holes», threatening us and ignoring our plees to leave. It’s time someone left an honest review. Hope keeping my camera equipment and treating us like dirt was worth it. Do not support this business.
