Freshly made ice cream! What more can I say… they have a wide selection of flavors with different choices of cones! I can never just do a scoop, I need to make it into a sundae! It’s weird that banana splits are only 2 scoops and banana Royale are 3 scoops, shouldn’t it be the other way around? Anyways, whenever I’m in town I always stop by for some ice cream! Service is always friendly and nice! They take your order first then make it for you after, if you’re dining in, grab a table and they bring it out to you!

Took my son here the other day for some ice cream an he ended up getting there huge sprinkle waffle cone with cookie dough ice cream which he absolutely loved took him about 25 min to eat the whole thing! While there I got an all fruit strawberry smoothie an it was so delicious I’m glad there is a place in town with delicious smoothies because it’s a constant craving of mine! The customer service was extremely friendly the man took our order then just brought the stuff out to us it was very nice. This is a cute little place to take the kids or go on a little ice cream date we will definitely be returning.

Absolutely the real deal in terms of «homemade» ice cream. I’m from Brooklyn and Steve is from Staten Island so we have common roots. His little shop is the 1st one I’ve ever entered that offered a real«Egg Cream» and delivered! Steve knows the difference between a «black and white» and an ice cream soda. The egg creams’ take me back to my childhood when my dad would take us to the«soda fountain» to have egg creams. The ice cream is full of flavor(no matter the one you choose) and not full of air. It is rich and creamy. Table service or take out the service is the same… excellent!(PS don’t forget to take home some homemade ice cream sandwiches located in the display case by the register!)

I LIKE the frozen yogurt, as I’m lactose intolerant. But the owner is VERY nice and the toppings are much less than in California, were you can pay up to $ 10 or more, just for toppings! And he’s really close to my home!

This place is authentic. Most importantly, the ice cream is great. The owner runs the place and is always friendly. He and his store have a great reputation … but how does a New York City guy end up spooning ice cream in Fernley, NV? Is he in the witness protection program? Probably not… great spot!

Best ice cream place in Fernley. Prices are reasonable the staff and the owner are very nice and friendly. The owner supports the schools here by giving free ice cream vouchers all the time for the school events. :)

Steve is the Jedi-Master of ice cream! He is super friendly and his staff is great. We had the pumpkin seasonal flavor and pistachio and nearly died of happiness. Tasty!

Steve’s Ice Cream WoW! An ice cream parlor without the hassling. The first time stopping through here was last year, ive also recently stopped in lately. They make and keep up on all things in Season. Their Pumpkin ice cream was very delightful, and very Nummy! But overall it’s a great atmosphere as well as a delightful family joint to visit in the Summer/Fall. Steve’s 9.0 out of 10.

Probably the fastest update I have done in my Unilocal existence… Steve also sells ice cream cakes and I have been wanting to try them but the smallest cake he sells serves about four people or so. Since it’s just my husband and I sharing it, I didn’t want to be stuck with an ice cream cake for days. Wonderful dilemma right? Well I told Steve about it and he informed me that he makes smaller heart-shaped cakes for Valentine’s day. it was also about half the price so it was perfect! I placed my order about two weeks out and stopped by Friday to pick it. Oh my gosh, it was awesome! Strawberry ice cream with whipped cream, sprinkles, and sugar conversation hearts! It was still too much to share for two people but I am not complaining, this is great ice cream. Highly recommend giving this place a try :)

Steve is a great guy, and his ice cream matches his personality. Lots of good flavors to choose from, and also the Italian ice, which is impressive. My favorite is the pistachio ice cream with the coconut Italian ice, but he doesn’t make the coconut much anymore, which is a major bummer.

True, neighborhood ice cream parlours are hard to find these days. Color me surprised when my family I’m visiting suggested this place in Fernley. For anyone that hasn’t been to Fernley, it’s in the middle of a very boring desert, surrounded by boring mountains, boring wild horses… you get the idea. Ok, ok it’s a cute town but I digress. Steve’s is definitely a popular place for«Fern-locals» with a gambit of homemade ice cream, sundaes, shaved ice, fro-yo, ice cream cakes, the list goes on. Add in comfy seating, super-friendly staff and redonculously fresh and tasty ice cream you have a winner winner chicken dinner. Umm I mean winner winner ice cream sundae, yeah well you try to rhyme with ice cream sundae. Just go there. Nuff said.

The only thing that may be as delectable as the homemade ice cream here is the New York accent of owner Steve Cordes as he greets you and fills your order. ‘How youse doin’?” Not only did the scrumptious, huge scoops of ice cream(a single here is the size of a double in most places) tickle our tastebuds, listening to Steve was music to my Brooklyn native hubby’s ears. He and Steve, who hails from Staten Island where he also made homemade ice cream, had a lot to talk about. Steve offers homemade ice cream in dozens of traditional flavors. My hubby opted for butter pecan. I had rocky road. Both yummy. Given Steve’s Homemade Ice Cream also has Italian ices, including in cherry and lemon flavors, were this store not eight hours away from my front door, I would eat my way down the line of both display cases. I have friends who are diabetic and so I noted the menu contained no sugar added frozen yogurt options Just passing that along if you are like them and want find that helpful to know in advance. Steve has something for everyone. Everything sparkles with pride of ownership here, from the gleaming clean interior to the top quality homemade products to Steve himself. We learned about this ice cream store from a local who said«Do NOT miss this place.» We pass the same sentiment on to Yeeps and other Peeps through this review. It’s easy to find, located in a newer strip mall right off of Hiway 95A and sandwiched in between a Sushi place and a Chinese food restaurant with lots of parking in the paved lot and easy access in the door. In «it’s a small world» mode, we learned fromSteve that his brother lives in our town in Oregon! We tried to convince Steve that he should open a Steve’s Homemade Ice Cream shop here. He said it snows too much and is too cold in the winter in our town. He’s right about that, for sure! PS — A great stop for lunch or dinner in Fernley before dessert at Steve’s is Jehova Es Mi Pastor for Mexican food.
