I was at this establishment just this past Sunday. I am from out of town, but my friends said it was a very quiet day for some reason in Ferndale. Either way we were out to have a good time and drink some Mimosa’s for brunch. I was astounded at how empty this place was. A nice patio like that would be packed in Columbus, OH everyday especially on a Sunday. My friends and I sat on the patio for about two hours and enjoyed $ 17 bottomless Mimosas. I did not eat any food, but my friend got quiche and she said it was very good. Out waitress was very nice and attentive. I just wish more people would have been out so I could experience the«real deal.»

Bosco brunch is fabulous. Potatoes are all crisp yet tender — which is such a nice change from mushie and kinda crispy in some parts. They had the typical«hip» brunch selections. Texas French Toast was better than I’ve had in a long time, real maple syrup a nice touch. Hubby had a variation on eggs bennie and it did not disappoint. Great bloody Mary — the best thing about this place is the food is yummy and it appears like no one knows it. So if you don’t want to wait at Toast or One Eyed Betty’s this is absolutely a great alternative.

I’ve been there o weekend nights and it was always fun. Today first time for brunch, and the patio was lovely. Although the inside smells like after a party. Food was good but service was very slow.

Not sure about the drinks and dessert, since I didn’t try them. However, the food was terrible! We ordered the chicken sandwich, lamb sliders, and spinach salad with chicken. All of the dishes were bland and deprived of any seasoning! The place is cute and we checked Unilocal before going but the good ratings and reviews only reflect the drinks and desserts. Don’t go there for food! And service wasn’t great either.

I’d try out Bosco for the very first time this Sunday and it was the worst decision I ever made. It started out with not the friendliest hostess and being sat at a dirty table. We decided to stick it out and see if the food would be good, we both ordered coffee which the waitress shared it would be french press coffee, which is fine. The coffee arrived lukewarm not hot as I would assumed it would be. The server was real quick and not the friendliest. The food arrives and presentation was awful! I ordered the veggie scramble with two slices of bacon and the bacon was half done. When I could get a hold of our server when she finally stopped to see how we were doing I told her the coffee is not up to par and the bacon is not cooked enough. The«new» bacon arrives and it was overcooked. I just gave up. The«manager/hostess» shared they were short staffed but really is that my fault and should that been the excuse for the cold coffee, under/over cooked bacon, poor plate presentation and missing Bloody Mary that my friend ordered that she never received. In conclusion, I would think twice about this place.

Great drinks and desserts! Great staff who are very friendly and helpful, especially to someone like me who isn’t a regular drinker. Overall, I do recommend for those who have never been to Bosco’s before.

Very poor service, rude waitstaff. Mediocre food. Turns into a «bottle service» type nightclub. Will not be returning.

Very cool place. Their portions are plentiful. Happy hour on Tuesdays, half off appetizers. I highly recommend the fries, though shoestring fries they’re delicious. I wish they had more of a diverse selection of healthy foods on their menu but I believe they just started serving food from what I gathered. Their pressed mint tea was exceptional. Pricey but worth it. Lol Their skillet chocolate chip cookie was also good. The bartender was very attentive and friendly also.

They have great drinks, always a party on weekend nights. The best is in the summer when the back porch is open. They have great appetizers and flat bread. I wouldn’t recommend many of the other food items. The drink list is also a huge plus!

Overpriced let down with unfriendly service. They were out of everything, the server was rude and the food came out at different times(if at all). There are too many other good restaurants around to come back here again.

The wife and I went here for the first time tonight for a friend’s surprise birthday party. The place has kind of a trendy, rustic wooden feel to it. The seats and tables are wooden and sturdy. The seats are a bit uncomfortable. Before 10:30PM, they have a live singer who plays the acoustic versions of such things as «Uptown Funk.» And they have their TVS on; so, it has kind of a sports bar like feel to it. After that time, they have a DJ, and the TVs get turned off along with the overhead lights; Then, they have background lights in the ceiling and walls strobe to the music in various colors giving the place a dance club feel. The only problem is that the DJ plays the music way too loud. I have worked my way through college in factories which were loud enough for OSHA to require hearing protection, and the music was louder than those factories. That is why I rated the place lower than the 5 stars that they deserved based upon the quality of service and the quality of the food. As for the food, it was a bit pricey. They have halal chicken dishes for those whom eat halal; so, that is cool. My wife had the chicken wings. She found them to be tender, juicy and flavorfully sauced, The fries that I ordered along with my sliders were crisp on the outside and tender inside with a nice herbal seasoning on them – really good fries. I ordered the three lamb sliders. The first one that I ate was a disappointment. It was cold and kind of unpleasant. The other two were hot, juicy and flavorful. They more than made up for the first one; so, I’m not mad at them for letting the first one sit too long before serving it. Everyone among the party guests had fun. The DJ was good at picking out music with great beats to dance to. And many in the party ended up dancing. It was a nice time other than feeling the need to run out to go get ear plugs to reduce the volume to a more reasonable level. And we discovered why the furnishings were so sturdy once the dancing started up. It seems that some people dance on the seats and tables.

This place was phenomenal! The food was awesome, drinks were also awesome, but what really stood out was the service. Our waitress,(unfortunately I don’t remember her name because I’m writing this review a month after I’ve eaten here :3) was the best! She was very nice and informative of the menu! She never failed to refill our cups and was easy to make a conversation with. She made great drink suggestions(EVERYBODYGETTHESTRAWBERRYFIELDSDRINK) and answered all of our food questions as well. I would come here every week if I didn’t live so far, but I will definitely be trying my best to visit soon! Ps: I STRONGLY suggest the chips and spinach dip appetizer. It is SO good. The chips are very unique(almost like a doughy inside texture) and the dip is literally perfect.

I was very pleased with this place and this location wasn’t the original plan neither — i saw the sign walking back to my truck saying«70 craft beers available». I think I would at least find one beer I’ll like and I did. The beer prices were very low and the atmosphere was great — we were greeted multiple times and made sure the table stayed clear. There was live music by an artist named MIKEMOODY and he played all throughout the night — we arrived at 8pm and he was still playing 2 hrs later. I wanna come back to try the food which I only had a side of fry($ 8 which can feed 3 people) and see if the live music thing is rare or common. Keeping my fingers crossed that it happens frequently. Ton of seating — unfortunately if you don’t wanna sit at the bar then ur other option is a large booth or outside seating the weather permits allows it. Happy eating!!!

I love the atmosphere at bosco, and now the tasty food. I love it in the fall, because it goes with the décor. I ordered a couple things, but my favorite was the wings and deep fried Oreos. If you want a flavorful fall beer this is the place to grab one. I ate a little to much, but it was worth it.

I really enjoyed this place. Right next to The Magic Bag and Imperial, this is a secret gem in an area I have perused over the years. When you walk in it has a fancy-esque vibe to it, with large, fine wooden tables and booth seating for large parties. It reminded me of a sushi joint in a way, and the tables kind of reminded me of Ronin in Royal Oak. We sat down to meet with friends who had already ordered, and they shared their food with us. They had ordered caprese and spinach artichoke dip — both were excellent. The artichoke dip was among the best I ever had, with the baked pita tasting just perfect. The caprese was on point and actually served on top of bruschetta. They don’t have draft beers, but they have beers in bottles like Two Hearted. Their mixed drinks are pretty good and potent as well. The best part about this place, though, is the back patio lounge area. You walk in and it feels like you stepped into Hawaii. Plenty of seating of all varieties, including tables and high tops. Their is even a palm tree hanging over everyone, and you can actually smoke cigarettes back there without going outside. And if you do want to go outside, there is a back alley. It’s a really fun atmosphere and fun for groups big or small who want to enjoy themselves in a laid back atmosphere. The service is stellar from both the waiting staff and bartenders, and even the bouncer and bathroom attendant were funny and courteous. I would definitely come back here for some appetizers and drinks.

Let me preface this review with the fact that we did not eat here when we came in on Saturday. It was around 8pm. There weren’t very many people in the entire place. Some might find that alarming or boring, but it was just what we were looking for at that time. We found a spot on the patio. It was a great night and I’m sure that the experience of being outside on a nice night is helping boost this review to 5 stars, but it is what it is. We each had a couple drinks. Our server was very attentive and friendly. It was a slow night inside, so she actually sat and talked with us for a bit. The drinks were very good and moderately priced. There was live music in the back. Can’t recall the name of the two guys that were playing, but they did a really nice job and were quite talented. As the place wasn’t crowded, they did a great job of finding the sweet spot between being irrelevant and over-bearing. Overall, it was a great experience. I’d gladly come back to(hopefully) re-live the experience I had here on Saturday.

Great spot for brunch. They offer outdoor seating and indoor seating. Food is fresh and delivered fast. I had the tex scramble with black beans and eggs. The side of fruit is also a nice touch of sweetness to breakfast. They serve Chazzano coffee which is awesome! French pressed of course. Only annoyance is the music was pretty loud for brunch. I’ll be back!

The name ‘Bosco’ refers to someone living or working in wood, which is appropriate for this modern wood interior which is beautiful. Booths, bar table, ceiling — all wood. Ambiance? Woodsy like the kind of place Little Red Riding Hood would love to dine in. Even the outdoor patio is decked out with driftwood and twinkle lights. Vibe? Fun and a little on the hipster side. I went on a trivia night which was hosted by a local dj who did a fabulous job. Our group went well before the crowds arrived so that we could get a bite to eat before waitstaff got blasted. Even with no other dinning patrons, service was slow and we had to ask for our order on more than one occasion. I loved the menu items and the creativity of ingredients but the lamb sliders must have been off that day. The meat was dry and flavorless. The bun was rock hard in places as if it had been sitting out all day. My friend got the same thing and when I looked at her plate, she had literally taken parts of the bun off in an attempt to salvage what was still good. She didn’t finish her sliders and neither did I. The fries were also dry and flavorless which was a surprise since other reviewers give them high remarks. I’m willing to go with the fact that it could have been an ‘off’ night so I’d like to try it again(crossing my fingers that a future visit will be an ‘ON’ night).

Ive never had food at this place before. And i must say, i am impressed. The food was delicious and very big portions. They change their menu every season from my understanding. I had the pleasure to try their summer dishes. My favorite things are the seasoned fries. So good(almost as good as hopcat crack fries). The Hawaiian burger? Has jalapeño in it, very good! But be warned; super spicy! I would say its hot level(mild, med, hot). But the flavors just goes so nice together once u get past the spicyness. Lettuce wrap was very good, comes with 3 different sauce for it, and chicken & quinoa. It has a sweet flavor to the sauce, it also comes sweet, salty? Spicy? I only had the sweet sauce. As for the salad, the greek power salad is probably my favorite. That chicken is super tender and juicy! The beets salad probably my second favorite. But all 3 salads on the menu is good. I think my least favorite is the pesto sandwich. I felt like it didnt have much flavor, and chicken was a little dry. But thats just me. My friends actually enjoyed the sandwich alot, and was probably their favorite, they said that’s how its suppose to taste, idk? But i will warn you, the sandwich is huge! I would come back to eat again bc i really enjoy their food and ambience. Probably go when theres not as busy to get more attention. Love the outdoor patio.

I went here for board game Tuesdays and had an absolute blast! The décor is pretty nice, but some of the seating is at awkward angles or seemed low for the bar. I only had some drinks and snitched a couple fries from a friend, but the fries came out warm, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. It was everything I could do not to order some myself. The drink menu is a very decent size and they have a lot of stuff from Michigan, which is always a plus. Besides, how can you go wrong with all night happy hour?! Hooray for Tuesdays. I’d love to go back some time and try the food.

This was my first time here. Came in just for a after dinner drink and dessert, after all it boasts itself as a dessert lounge, so hey! I must be in the right place. Sat at the bar, place was empty for the time, but most were on the patio. The ambiance is great, I’d definitely spend some time here. Great décor. Just enough class and just enough rustic. Patio is perfect! I liked their $ 5 beer specials, and the menu had lots of drinks to offer, like 3 menus of specialty drinks. I had a strawberry beer — it was good. I ordered the cider doughnuts for dessert. Here’s where the sadness begins… Cider doughnuts? DONOT expect the yummy cider doughnuts you often see, and devour, in the fall. I’m new to Michigan so the first time I tasted cider doughnuts I was hooked. They’re so dense and taste like they’re soaked in apple cider they’re that flavorful. These were plain doughnuts with lots of cinnamon and sugar with maybe some apple pie or apple cider spice in the dough. It was pretty plain tasting and a huge let down. Yes it was house made, but it wasn’t like the doughnuts you get in the fall at all. A plain doughnut with caramel dipping sauce, I ate one and left the rest. Because this place touts itself as a dessert lounge, I had high expectations. Cider flavor aside, they just weren’t even good doughnuts. One Eyed Bettys has great ones, go there instead. There were only 4 desserts and 3 dessert drinks, so 7, to choose from. Not really much of a offering for a proclaimed«dessert lounge». Maybe they count a lot of their sweeter type drinks as dessert? Who knows, but I wouldn’t come here for dessert, but drinks?, absolutely. I’d rate it higher, but my review was based on dessert. I’ll be back for food and drinks because I’m sure I’d have a better experience food-wise. They should think about changing that dessert lounge moniker though. And OMG, totally wouldn’t think this was a kid friendly place, it’s not really conducive for kids in my mind, but the patio had about 12 small children running amok. If you read my reviews you know I’m in favor of adult only atmospheres. Uggggh. I’ll admit it was only 7:30 so still before the night crowd, but wow that many kids huh in non kid friendly restaurant? I swear I’d never do that to other diners.

It felt very hipster. Nice authentic wood décor, minimalist, dark lighting, the guy at the door, the music. I only had a drink, a double of Black Label. Price was normal for the shelf. I’ll try a dessert and more drinks on another visit. I’m not quite sure I’d spend a Friday night here.
