This is one of the bigger stores on the main drag in Ferndale, and I’d say that it appears to be one of the most practical if you are in the market for children’s and women’s clothing. The store setting itself is a bit bargain-store, with florescent lights and a more no-nonsense setup. But I found one of the cutest knit hats here for the nothing price of $ 7. That’s right: seven with no zeroes. Now, mind you, once I looked closer it showed that the hat is made in China, and I was sorta hoping for something local. But for $ 7 I am sure that there is nothing that I could get locally-made, and none of the hats at any of the other stores had the cloche-style or pink and brown combo that I found here. So I figure at least I’m helping a small business, if not a local knitter. Fun store.

Great store! I always stop at this store when I’m in Ferndale. The store is made mostly up of sweaters, tops and other various women’s fashions, along with some accessories like hats, scarves, handbags, and jewelry. There is so much to see in this store and it’s a good size store too, so I’m never able to look at everything in one visit, because there’s just so much to see!:) The owners are very kind people and I enjoy talking to them every time I visit. They are very helpful. They offer a small dressing room in the back. I would say about one third of the store is devoted to children’s clothing, as well as infants and toddlers. They offer some gorgeous dresses for girls. They also have a sale section, where I found a beautiful gold, shimmery, floral embroidered cardigan top:) The one thing I love about the products that they offer is that they’re very well-made, and most of the sweaters and tops have some«bling» to them:) A couple of things to point out: –Not everything you see is for sale. I’m a collector of stuffed animals and plush. So when I walked in the store and saw this pair of cute Christmas bears I immediately wanted to buy them, but unfortunately they were part of the owner’s personal collection that were put out on display(in the middle of the various clothes racks). I think it’s a little bit confusing especially for customers who are used to being able to buy anything they want in a store, but then again, when you’re up in the country, the rules are a little bit different;) So if you see something you really like, just make sure it has a price tag on it;) — be aware that this is not like a Target store;) the last time I was there, my friend had purchased a jacket. She loved it. We went to the beach in Ferndale, and for some reason something came loose on the part that is supposed to tighten the hood on the jacket. Basically, a part came off that wasn’t supposed to. My friend and I went back to the store; but she was unable to exchange it or return it. So just be sure that when you purchase something from this store, that you plan on keeping it… the moment you walk out the door… Like I said, this place is not like Target, you cannot just return things without a receipt or just because you didn’t like it weeks later… Or one hour later for that matter.(you’ve been warned, lol) — The clothes are not cheap. Personally I think the prices are a little high, but a lot of them are made with a high level of quality, so I do understand the high price range. The sweaters and tops usually range from $ 30 to $ 55(at least in my experience). There are some sweater tops with rhinestones that may or may not have a hood and zip up… And the last one of those that I purchased was $ 75…, so just because you’re up in the country, doesn’t mean the prices are like a Kmart store, ;) Final opinion– The owners are great people and the store is just a really fun place to go to. If you’re looking for a fancy sweater, or a gift for a baby or toddler, it is the perfect place to go:)

Once upon a time, a long long time ago, a girl in footie pajamas lost her bear. She cried all night and her mother called every shop they had visited during their bear attended shopping expedition, to no avail. That night the bear was no where to be found. That morning she and her mother arose, the little one tear stained, to stop by the final store, Lentz as they opened, where earlier the girl had tried on hats in the mirror. And there, in front of the mirror in the display window, sat her bear. Now helping to sell hats and looking quite unperturbed he’d had to help out for the day. My dear Lentz, thank you for your fuzzy socks, your fabric, and thank you for giving me back my bear. I’m sure for that day he really helped make those hats fly off the shelf: D
