Cedars RV Resort

After traveling from Fairbanks on the Alcan we stayed here for a week to rest up. Staying at numerous RV parks along the way Cedars RV is my and my families favorite spot so far. The one con was the freeway and train noise but I won’t let that affect the rating because we had such an enjoyable stay.
It’s in a little town, Ferndale, and only about 8 minutes away from Bellingham. What we were most impressed and happy with were the beautiful hedges that separates each space. It’s an attractive way to add privacy between you and your neighbors and I wish more RV parks incorporated them. Speaking of neighbors, in the short time we were there we met a few of the full-​timers and felt very welcomed. They have a little shop in the front office where you can purchase small food items, beer and wine. The woman we always spoke with in the office was very helpful and friendly. They also have an activity center with kids games, a big screen and couches. The pool was closed for the season when we arrived but it looked nice. They have a community fire pit, horseshoe pits, a car wash area, propane fill area, a large children’s play area, and a large fenced in dog park that sits within an even bigger, beautiful, green open area that’s the «tent» area. The time, attention and detail put into the maintenance of the ground is evident.
Bathrooms are very clean, as are the showers and laundry facilities. Laundry is $ 2 to wash. Dryer is .50 to start (10min) and add a quarter to add time.
Our week stay came to approximately $ 270 (wifi/​water/​elec) and it was very well worth it. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Nice grounds very green and lush. Kids area is new and nice clean structure to play on. Fun bear sculptures hanging in the trees was a nice touch. Sites offer a bit of privacy with many tall hedges. Really nice play field and Dog Park. Close to freeway & Canada. 1 hwy exit from town. Very calm and quiet place. I did not use the restrooms or inquire about wifi but my cell service and hotspot on my phone work great. The lady in the office was nicer than most and offered me good advice. They sell propane on site. I enjoyed my stay and so did my wife, children and two jack russells. We would stay again. I’ve stayed at many R. V Resorts this is absolutly one of my top 3 on the west coast.

Nice place. A little noisy from Interstate and trains. Must pay extra for wifi and cable at your site. Smaller rigs get not as nice spots but it’s business. Pool is great as is clubhouse, just wish age to be without parent was less than 16. Smokers by main office is frustrating. No community grills. Showers free but in need of repair.
