Went here for someone’s birthday and over all it was alright. We ordered some sushi as well as hibachi dinners. The group really enjoyed their mango chicken roll, tuna nigiri, and the shrimp. To me, there just wasn’t anything about the flavor that made me feel like I needed to come back. Perhaps I’m just spoiled from the fantastic Asian food in Hawaii. The service was great from the entire restaurant though.

I have been to so many Japanese steak houses and been so bored with the food. The sauces they use tend to overpower the flavor of the food. Kabuki is completely different. The veggies were fresh and not overcooked with just a hint of soy sauce flavor. The fried rice was made using fresh peas and carrots and lacked nothing in flavor perfect amount of soy sauce and pepper. Now to the meat of things, the steak came out first and it was perfect I could taste the steak and not the typical burned sauce most Japanese steak houses use. The chicken was amazing, not dry but also had a very nice chew to it and once again was seasoned perfectly. If you have not been to Kabuki I would highly recommend that you go and taste what food from a steak house should taste like.

Worst visit in 15 years of going here. We were the only table in at this time. 2 of us for 70 $ our soup was cold(3 other people at our table sent it back twice) salad was not edible, the leaves were wilted and soggy(discusting) and our sushi«roll» the eel roll was a JOKE… the sushi«chef» literally made a patty of rice on the plate and just threw the eel on top??? Really? And who ever was working the front was horsing around with one of the male servers yelling and squeaking the entire time behind the curtain. We actually put our food in a Togo box as soon as we got it and left. …so disappointed this visit

This was one of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever eaten at. We were planning on the Crab Trap and after a quick stop at a clothing store we were offered a suggestion for Kabuki. We came in right at closing time and were treated great. Ate with a couple of great locals that offered up lots of great information about the city. Let me say the owner also came out and spoke and talked with us as well. The service was great and our chef also allowed our 11 year old son to crack the egg. Every aspect of our dinner was great. I found out this restaurant has been in business 25 years. You cannot go wrong. Hate to say it but this was the best shrimp I have had in Amelia. Thanks Kabuki for a great night out.

I realize ordering sushi here was not a great thought but yeah, it’s what you’d expect. Bland, lots more rice than fish and veggies. I don’t recommend it. However, my friends’ hibachi meals were pretty good. We had a fun time. They seated our group of 7 on a weekend night after a 25-minute wait. Server and cook were nice and prompt. It was very uncomfortable temperature wise in the restaurant, even in the lobby. I suppose they haven’t figured out how to cool the place with so many grills on in the summer heat. Just an okay place. If you go, bring a fan and order hibachi.

Excellent! My first time experiencing a place like this. The waiter was great, the chef was fun to watch and the food was very very very good. If I lived near by I would be here frequently. Loved it!

Literally the best sushi ever. Will is out of this world. You have not had sushi until you’ve been here, trust me.

People who come here and think that they have the best sushi around are wrong! It’s not even near to being good! it’s not fresh either! For a Japanese restaurant, it certainly doesn’t have that asian feel. It’s dirty, dark, and smells like wet carpet inside. The Japanese hibachi wasn’t even good, and that’s not a hard thing to do! Been here twice(once for a birthday dinner) and was disappointed both times! Food always ended up being burnt, and very greasy! Oh, the last time I was here the chef was sweating all over everyones food. Big turn off! I ended up ordering the sushi when this happened, which was also a mistake! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Classic Japanese tepan place with sushi bar. Owner works the floor every night. Chefs are entertaining, good for groups and parties. Sushi chef is good and uses good ingredients. He like to be creative and enjoys testing new rolls on guests for feed back. Some times i like to walk in and say, hey Will, surprise me. He never disappoints but he is a one man show so when its busy you’ll have to wait.

I used to love Kabuki when I was in high school but not so much anymore. It’s your basic Japanese steakhouse, but this place is filthy! The floor was covered in food, napkins, and straw wrappers. The plates/silverware looked like they weren’t washed. It took our server three tries to find me a clean plate. The food is ok and the cooks are slightly humorous but I won’t be going back.
