i am really getting irritated with Target as an entire company as of late… this is just the latest little gem of piss-poor service I have experienced in my recent adventures with Target… I went here in February for a box of my disposable contacts after moving from TN. I of course have new insurance with the job change and have utilized Target Optical in TN for the past year. I went in and after they found out what fabulous insurance I have they got all excited about trying to sell me more and I also had my husband with me and I he went on back for an eye exam and when he came out they had him all talked into prescription sun glasses and top of the line frames and it is true that his insurance would have covered a great portion of this but he didn’t need to be «sold» all this… they man needed glasses to see and he would have walked out of there with them if they just kept on track and worked with that and then let him know about some other extras… just because you can get a good deal doesn’t mean you want to shell out more from your pocket… He would have been paying close to 400.00 out of pocket for all they suggested. I tell you this because in the height of all this shuckin’ and jivein’ by the sales people. I ended up getting supposedly a years supply of contacts that they put thru my insurance plan — I still had to pay around 60.00 out of pocket… but i left with a couple boxes of contacts… flash forward 6 months later — labor day weekend 2013 — - I’m ready to take a road trip out of town… call hubby at work tell him to pick me up a box of my disposable contacts… Guess what — -my prescription ran out in May… why in the world did they not update my prescription when I went in to them with new insurance in February??? I was livid… because I thought this had been done… I called the store and had them pull my file because they couldn’t find me in their computer system… she said she would call me back… she did not… I had to call them back… they had no solution for me… I asked if they could schedule an appointment for my return and give me a temporary disposable pair(which by the way Wal-mart has done on several occasions when I utilized them in the past) They were little bitches on the phone about this. I am done with Target optical and done with Target as a department store. This is the third strike in a month on their behalf with not living up to my service expectations.
