Dano’s Pizzeria

Some say pizza is pizza but that’s simply not true. We didn’t particularly care for the pizza here but the wings were decent.

While we enjoyed the coupons and customer service, the food was below average. Pizzas were sub-​par at best, pasta tastes like the sauce was from a can, and the appetizers were the worst. Very reminiscent of grocery store frozen items that were heated up and sent out quick. That was the first two times we are here, once dine-​in, and once delivered. We tried to give them another shot tonight, and since it was 30 minutes to close, figured we would order and pick up so they wouldn’t have to deliver. Well, no one answered the phone. I love locally-​owned places, and understand customer service and it’s challenges, but after three tries here I have come to the conclusion that it is not worth the money.

We ordered from here because they deliver to Fort Drum, didn’t care for the pizza, but the wings were great, I also had their pasta, the sauce tasted like it was canned, and it was very acidic. We will probably get their wings again.
The delivery driver was very nice and friendly.

Food and customer service always amazing… no complaints!!! My family and I eat here at least twice a month and plan to do so for as long as we are stationed here at Drum

I would say that Dano’s pizza is the best around the area. We have had better but the pizzas are quite delicious especially the desert pizzas, which were my favorite.

Went there for lunch and had the pizza buffet. It was pretty good. They also give out a free large pizza coupon when you move into on post quarters. Pretty smart strategy because now I periodically receive coupons from them. Pizza wasn’t the greatest but it was still good.

Food is pretty good. Prices are steep though. It’s good if you are in the area, partially because it’s the only thing around.

Very good, small pizza restaurant localed very close to Ft. Drum and the airfield. My coworkers and I went here because some soldiers recommended the lunch bufffet. I’m glad we went!
I just got the pizza buffet and a soft drink ($ 10), while my coworker got the salad bar with the pizza and drink, which was a little more. They also had a soup bar. Pizza was tasty, and they had several options! The dessert pizza looked great, but I ate too many slices of other pizzas! I’ll definitely get it next time.
Overall, nice little local owned business. Very crowded at lunch. I’ll be back!

I have to admit as someone that travels all over the US a lot this pizza place gives you more for your buck! The pizza buffet will leave your tummy full and happy. The best part is this places lets you make up your own meal so you basically choose the price you pay. They have a salad bar, soup bar and 6 different beers on tap. This literally is a one stop shop to satisfy anyone in your group. Out of all the pizza buffets I have tried, they truly have the best dessert pizza! My only complaint is that they don’t have one in the Ca Central Valley.

We ordered a deluxe pizza and garlic knots for delivery. Nothing to extreme right?! Well they told me that it would take an hour as they were behind on delivery’s. It happens. So we wait and wait… about an hour and a half later we finally get our pizza. The delivery drive was very friendly and sweet. Thats the best compliment I can give this place. First off the pizza box was sagging from the weight of the pizza or just from moisture. .not sure which one. Open the box — pizza looks good. Yay! Not! The pizza dough was raw… I mean raw! It was so raw that we couldnt even eat it. So I called the store explained the situation. The manager then tells me they have been having this problem alot with the Deluxe pizza. (So you know of this problem but still let the pizza leave the store??) They told me they could remake it. Just remember that I have already waited an hour and 30 minutes for a pizza that cost 30+. I ask how long and they tell me 30 minutes. Ok fine. After thinking about it. I actually dont want to wait for another pizza thats raw. So I called them back and told them no not make me another pizza. I just want a refund and if they want they can come get the pizza. Have I got a refund nope! So no pizza and im out 30 +. I guess they tried to have customer serve but failed miserably. Sorry but I wont be eating here again. Not worth the time, frustration and $$$.

Mild wings were flavorless. Chicken parm sub was 2 chicken patties tomato sauce and cheese. Way over priced for bland food

We went to Danos the first night we moved to Drum and wasn’t very impressed. I think we need to give it another chance.

We enjoyed eating here very much. The dining room and restrooms are clean and the pizza was delicous.

Such yummy pizza! We recommend this place to all our friends. We’ve always just ordered in and had it delivered but every time, the delivery boys have always been very friendly. I never eat crust, but Dano’s crust is the only one I’ll eat. Everything always tastes fresh. Best pizza place around here hands down.

Have no idea what it was called, but it had a top crust and bottom crust with cheese and other stuff inside. It was awesome! Guess that is what I get for letting my sister order for me! Will do again when I visit the next time.

Visited my sister again, learned we had the Luna. So, I ordered it again! Just as awesome as I remembered it!

Mexican pizza is delish! So is their strawberry desert pizza. I had them deliver and it was pretty fast. I miss New York mainly because this pizza was so good! Lol great place to eat.

I went here for lunch while at Fort Drum in TDY and it was awesome! They had a wonderful buffet and it was perfectly priced. For a small fee of $ 10 you get unlimited drinks, pizza, soup, and salads. It’s kind of awesome. The pizza is wonderful. I only had one slice as I’m trying to watch my figure, and that one slice was perfect! It was a grilled chicken pizza slice… the crust was nice and crispy (exactly what I’d expect out of an NY style pizza and there wasn’t a HUGE amount of cheese which I always appreciate and, finally, the chicken was cooked perfectly. It was still very tender and had a lot of flavor.
I was lucky because one of my co-​workers let me try a piece of his blueberry dessert pizza. OMG! That one bite was so tasty!
I would definitely recommend trying this little mom and pop shop out if you’re in the area.

Not impressed. The only reason I went here is because I had a coupon for a free pizza. Well the cheese was burnt. And the pie looked like a generic chain pizza pie. Pizza Hut, dominos type pizza. I was expecting a «New York style» pizza. I got imitation chain pizza. Honestly I would rather have a tombstone.
I also had some wings. The only flavor I liked was the garlic wings. I have no plans on coming back here.
