I’ve been taking my ’92 Toyota truck, with over 300K miles on it, to Hai for a few years, and he’s yet to do me wrong.
The guy who answers the phone, however, needs some serious training in customer service. Seriously every single time that I call to ask about my truck, he acts irritated that someone DARED to call and he would rather burn in Hell than take 2 minutes out of his day to find out how your vehicle repair is going. I guess he must make only minimum wage and just doesn’t care.
Hai, the lead mechanic, is a good guy, though. I trust him.

I always get my car serviced and fixed here. I am someone who relies on my car for work but know nothing on cars. I trust them to tell me what I need and when and that they will not take advantage of me. They are very good and so nice

The mechanic is top notch, he will definitely fix your car. Unfortunately, he over charges. He charged me 20% over retail for a dealer part. I know that mechanics get wholesale prices from parts stores and dealers (I used to work in a garage), usually 20% to 40% under retail, so to tack another 20% on top of retail is robbery.
After the work, he needed to smog my vehicle, but since the battery had been disconnected, it needed to have about 100 miles driven for the computer to give a valid test. He said he would just drive it home that night (to San Jose). Sure. He used a quarter tank of gas and charged me shop rates for the drive time!

These guys were great. I had an issue one morning… My new (to me) van was full of kids and I was getting a message on my dashboard that meant «go get service now». They checked out my problem and it was a very quick fix that they did for no charge. The kids and I were off in less than 20 minutes and I couldn’t be more appreciative.

Tried to get a 10 gal. propane tank filled here. Was told they’d be right out after two other cars. Waited 15 minutes and then told I had to wait until no cars were there for gas… even ones that came after me.
Service was terrible and rude. If you want propane, don’t go here.

I really like this place alot. First and foremost their gas is always competitively priced, and they still do full service! But where they really excel is around automotive services.
I’ve used the mechanics there for smog checks, oil changes, and even a transmission replacement. The pricing is always fair. The service is timely and done in a high quality fashion. It is best to call ahead and make an appointment.

I’m from a different state that doesn’t require that you get your car smogged. So when it was finally time to register my car here I took it to the local cornerstone automotive place to have it done. I’m sure the smogging all was fine but when they were done they guy said that my drive belt was cracked and I should really get that checked out.
I had just recently had my drive belt replaced and know that it is not cracked. Just to be certain when I got my oil changed (at the place that I know and trust) I asked them about it and they told me that my drive belt was fine.
Women beware of cornerstone automotive, they will attempt to swindle you if you look like you don’t know what you are doing.
