Popeyes

On June 17^th 2016, online it said that drive through closes at 11 pm, I showed up at 10:30 and the lights were on with employees still working and they told me it was «closed». We only wanted a small combo meal, nothing too extensive.

Get your s* together Popeyes! I ordered the 10 piece meal deal only to come home and notice that They gave me 9 pieces. The managers need to make sure the ppl. They hire know how to count first.
When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the strong cleaning agent smell from the restroom. Surprised to see only one cashier on a Saturday. The guy getting the food was pretty slow and that’s the one who didn’t know how to count.

Well, I guess by now I must admit that I have given up my Vegan ways… I don’t overdo it, but sometimes you just have to have your favorites. About a month ago, I got pretty sick with a nasty virus… I haven’t been that ill in years. I thought I was immune to most things, since I’m a longtime RN. I was wrong. So after visiting urgent care with a high fever, all I could think about was Popeye’s…and it’s right across the street! Their mashed potatoes and gravy seemed like the ultimate comfort food. So I got my usual 10 piece dark spicy chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans, and a gallon of lemonade to prevent dehydration!!! The lemonade was gone in 12 hours and I was happy to recuperate with my comfort food. Everything was great — service was great at the drive-​thru.
So…a week or so ago, Popeye’s was on my mind again. I was starving on Sunday afternoon. I went through the drive-​thru again, and ordered my usual, except with coleslaw this time. My food was ready immediately. Staff at the window: super friendly and efficient. My food was incredible. Chicken was hot and crispy. Mashed potatoes were hot and had a good amount of that great gravy on them. Coleslaw was crispy — and those biscuits (that are warm, crispy and salty on the sides) — perfection. I noticed that the drive thru became very crowded with vehicles as I was leaving.
This location of Popeye’s is terrific now. It is also getting very popular. My food orders are always done right. Life is stressful. Sometimes you just have to give yourself a break!

Ordered 16 piece meal thru the drive up and got 8 wings!!! Not what I expected after paying $ 42 looked like a box of bones when opened! Very disappointed. Will be finding somewhere else to spend my money in the future.

Worst Popeyes ever! EVERYTIME I go, my order was wrong or I just don’t get a meal. Ask for spicy strips, get mild. Ask for dark meat, get white meat. It’s really NOT that hard people! Tired of calling and complaining. I would give them a ZERO but there’s not option for that!

Just went there today on our way home from the zoo. The speaker box made it hard for us to communicate to the girl taking the order … But she finally got what we were asking for and repeated it back. We got to the window to pay and everyone was running around blaming everyone else for not being organized. They handed us our drinks and one of our two meals and tried to send us on our way. We told them we were still missing the rest of our order and they came back with still only half of our other meal (we only ordered two) then we told them we were still missing part of it and the dipping sauces we asked for and the lady at the window muttered some swear words and went back to get our fries. She came back with about 10 fries in a basket and no dipping sauces. It took a long time — no one seemed to know what was going on.
While we were sitting there I saw a worker drop a box with chicken in it on the floor. Some of the chicken spilled out and they just picked it up and used it! Disgusting!!! Also the fried food had an overwhelming taste of dirty frier oil. Never again!

Wow what an improvement, they are now a lot faster, cleaner, and friendlier. They pretty much replaced their whole crew.

We ordered the spicy chicken strips combo and a 4-​piece spicy chicken combo. They said it would be 2 ½ minutes until the strips were done. No problem; I said I’d wait. When those finally were done (7 minutes later) they then informed us that they didn’t have any spicy chicken pieces and that would take another 10 minutes. Thirteen minutes later, that chicken was done. The food is not worth a 20 minute wait, and why did it take 7 minutes to tell us they didn’t have what we ordered?

I would rather eat here than Churches Fried Chicken; true story.

Cleaner than the one by Lacey, however when u ask for a small expect ½ that. Not impressed, today was not my day. Half my pay check on x mas eve, then half my dinner thank you so very much.

We have been coming here for years but the service has been hit and miss and today was a big miss.
First of all our order came in sections. First we received part of ours — next our guests received theirs and finally we got the rest of our order.
They are also inconsistent on spicy. Some times it is really taste and others — not so much.
I still miss the corn and the cob they use to have.

It was lunch time (11am) and I saw this Popeye’s as I was running some errands. There were a few customers in the drive in so decided to go inside. It was very clean in the dining room, the staff was so kind and patient. I requested no wings to my order and they said it would take 10 mins. It took far less time than that. This is the most professional and jovial staff I have ever encountered at a Popeye’s.

I went around 1pm on a Wednesday and waited almost 10min for food but not a bad thing, it was fresh and delicious. One of the workers actually came around disposing of guests garbage and bussing tables as if she was working for a tip. Anyway, we had a feast and everything was delicious except the mac and cheese that I will probably never order again, or ask for extra cheese nextime: D If you want extra sauce its going to cost you .33 at this location. This place is well kept with friendly service. I would come back to this location

Love the food… The reason I give the Federal Way Popeyes one star is the staff. They are so slow and unorganized there’s food orders up and the staff and management are out having a cigarette while I’m sitting outside waiting for my food.
They never have nuggets ready. It’s just a joke how poorly organized and manage this location is.

My favorite fried chicken. The chicken is fresh but the service is usually slow and chaotic. Always check your order before you leave because you will get the wrong order a lot of the time. If you have to wait 5 minutes in front of building often they will forget about you.

Nothing to write home about, Popeye’s charged $ 20 and change for 8 pieces of chicken, 4 biscuits and one side of mac & cheese. The biscuits were overcooked and tasted like flour rocks. The mac & cheese was a downgrade from Kraft Mac & Cheese. It was clear it was fake cheese and lacked salt big time. The chicken was OK, same quality as any other fried chicken place.
It took 15 minutes to get my order in the drive thru after repeating what I wanted three times and the young man trying to comprehend what was going on. The gal who cashed me out sweetly asked me to pull up and wait for my food. No one came up behind me, except a fool driving the wrong way through the drive thru! Good thing because it took a lllooonnnggg time to get the order.
They didn’t include any butter for the hockey pucks but no worries, they were inedible anyway.
I won’t be coming back. Not the worst food ever but I learned my lesson.
There’s a small parking lot that bumps into Olive Garden’s.

It’s fried chicken. nothing really memorable able the chicken here, beside it being hard and stale. Not very spicy for spicy fried chicken and the new red chicken strip had little heat to it. Major disappointment.
Customer service was non-​existence considering i was the only person in line with 6 staff just goofing off behind the register. They seem more excited about who was not closing than taking order.

This is a wonderful franchise of Popeyes. Popeyes Federal Way is easy to locate off of the freeway and a large parking lot. The service is quick, friendly and orders are accurate. The staff working on Christmas Eve demonstrated great team work, the chicken strip basket was wonderful and the location was clean.
Popeyes needs to award the Vancouver, WA franchises to this franchise owner as it is clear the Federal Way location cares (unlike Vancouver, WA where the service is laughable)

I don’t much experience with lots of different locations of Popeyes but this was the cleanest, friendliest, and best location I’ve been to in WA state.
My boyfriend and I were on a road trip from Seattle and spotted a Popeyes sign on the freeway. Already starving, it made perfect sense to grab a quick late lunch.
The shrimp po boy was exploding with shrimp. In a great way, it almost felt like they put 2x as much shrimp as they needed do. With every bite bits of shrimp were falling onto my plate. Yum! The mashed potatoes and gumbo were great and the biscuits were the best I’ve had from any fast food chain. Super buttery and with just the right amount of salt.
The food was prepared quickly, it was cheap, and we were in and out and back on the road in less than 30 mins. I’ll have to think about Popeyes more often when I’m driving south of Seattle.

I like this Popeye’s. First, I like the location — getting in and out of the parking lot is easy. Second, there is a drive-​thru, if you so desire. I often go inside to grab a to go order. Third, the food is consistent, and lastly, the staff is friendly.
I don’t live in the area but I manage to get here 3 – 4 times a year. Love the spicy chicken with extra packets of hot sauce. I’m not allowed to cook chicken in my house so when I come here, I buy at least a full box and eat almost all of it myself (over the course of a few days).
I don’t eat in the dining room often but find it to be clean and well kept. The staff is always kind and I have seen them have to deal with some not so kind people. I’ve seen the staff keep their cool and work with customers through their issues.
TIP: Be sure to add up what you are ordering. Often, getting an advertised deal is cheaper than ordering ala carte.
