Federal Way 320th Library

Its a pretty small library. I did notice not a lot of people looking at books. Seems like everyone are after the computer. Yes that’s the busiest section. people are here to use the computer and to print things. Like I said its small but again it is super quiet. Somehow the parking lot is like the same size as the library inside.

My favorite library in the south King county area. Always clean, fairly quiet, the employees are very helpful and sweet. I don’t check out books so I don’t know much about the variety of the selection. They have DVDs as well from what I’ve seen. I frequent this library for the peace and quiet and the fast free wifi. They have many computers but I bring my own and sit wherever. They also have movie nights here for kids and teens as well as other activities and programs. Great location. Plenty of parking. I’m a regular here as I enjoy the quiet separate rooms to study. They’re by reservation for a max of two hours but it’s quiet in the entire library (for the most part minus the rare occasion of I behaved children) so you can really study anywhere as long as you have headphones. It’s one of federal way’s gems if you still enjoy libraries :). Oh and they have e-​books as well available through their app KCLS!

Newly remodeled library. It is now a small, light and airy library. However, I’m not in love with it. The chairs are super uncomfortable. Most staff is helpful but not all…

I came here for the first time last 3 weeks ago. They have a nice study area if you need quite time. My experience on the other hand was not a pleasant one. I will never return to this location. I confronted some kid who was talking really loud and using profanity. The staff said a few words to him but did not go above and beyond. She should have kicked him out of the library because there were little kids around. Anyway, I thought the staff should have been more firm.

Small building, but very appealing. Always busy when I come in but, I can always find at least one computer to use or a place to sit away from other people. Great location, helpful and cheerful staff.

Clean and revamped. Doesn’t smell but the only issue is that there are not many tables so you will have to share with strangers. But I’d rather choose this library over the other one in federal way for now. since it’s new. hehe

This is new (as of Fall 2013). Its a small, intimate library. But it’s part of the larger county system so you can use their website to deliver books to this location and hold them for you so you can come pick them up. If you use this option there are some shelves just off your right as you enter and they will be listed in alphabetical order of your last name. Right next to it are the self-​check out computers, there are also some receptionists that can help sign you up as well as help you with any questions.
Overdue books cost $ 0.10 a day, you can pay online, as well as extend the check out of a book you currently have if you’re not ready to return it. If that book has been put on hold by someone else however, you will have to return it or pay the daily fee.
There are some study areas, some study rooms that I believe you can reserve. There are also public computers and empty desks to work at. Very nice, clean location!

«Newly upgraded facility has a modern look and brand new parking lot, landscaping and building. Everything is fresh and clean.
The staff has been consistently helpful and knowledgable with excellent customer service.
The system circulates so much material! CDs, audio books/​players, DVDs of all varieties, and books, of course.
All of the material is appropriately categorized and neatly organized by genre/​code. So easy to browse.
If you’re stumped on where to find an article they have kiosks in which to searched available content or request holds.»

Federal Way, or what my friends who do not live in FW call it, Ghetto Way. FW is not a city. Has no city feel, has no down town, has no culture, has nothing except for strip malls and multiple Walmarts. Small locally owned businesses struggle to survive if they survive. You turn on the news and it seems theres always a murder in FW. We have no city festival (used to have one, but it was shut down a few years ago), a lot of empty buildings, a mall that has to be rated one of the worse in the state. Theres no reason to come to FW and unfortunately I live in FW but cant move becuase I am upside down in my house. I do not want to raise my kid in FW. A lot of issues need to be taken care of to improve this city.

not impressed I live here before and had to move back .
the place has not improved. make of fact the traffic has gotten worse .
alot of the places I use to go are gone, replace by chain store with
unfriendly people .
the strip club which was cool is gone but the street walk are still here.
