When you spend as much as it costs for a Jacuzzi, you expect service all the way through installation to Chemicals. Hot tubs aren’t easy and you need to be properly trained. This location of staff tried to care, but burned out when they couldn’t solve any of my problems. I ended up going to the Lakewood location to get my education for proper maintenance of the hot tub. I tried for three weeks and all I was to ever told was to keep adding more chemicals. It turned out to be that I had too many minerals in my water and they never ever suggested anything to correct that. If all you’re doing is buying chemicals or know what about hot tubs„ this place will probably be good enough for you. Mark, the store salesman tried to be helpful, but I simply gave up. If you’re a new hot tub Owner, go to the Lakewood store.

I purchased Spa Purge to get rid of the biofilm in the plumbing of my jetted tub. I found that the cleanser/purifier was not working with the situation I was dealing with. I ran the recommended amount while following all instructions. No biofilm was ejected from the pipes. After draining the water that contained the Spa Purge, and following it with a rinse cycle, I then refilled my tub with water and used a cleanser that had already proven effective in removing biofilm(the only reason I wanted to try something different is because I wanted to be able to buy something locally rather than continuing to order a product online). Looks like I’ll be ordering the already proven effective product online from now on because the Spa Purge did nothing. The evidence is in the biofilm the other product removed after the Spa Purge cycle had ran. Upon discovering that the Spa Purge did not work, I called the Federal Way Aqua Quip store and asked for a refund. Sounding irritated, the person who I spoke with said he could do a refund, then hung up on me. When I arrived at the store with my two children in tow later that afternoon, I was met with a middle aged man with glasses. I soon realized he was the person I spoke to on the phone. He was not bad at first, getting the usual information for returns(name, address, etc.). But then after he issued my refund, he snidely remarked, «I bet your tub is cleaned out now.» Apparently he said this because he noticed that I had used ¼ of the bottle(the recommended amount) and thought that I was trying to return the remaining bottle after using what was necessary to successfully clean my tub. He was basically accusing me of stealing. In front of my two children. In shock, I said something to the degree of, «Actually, it’s not clean,» then told him about how I ran the other cleanser through only to discover the biofilm that the Spa Purge did not clean out. The unprofessionalism of this employee is appalling and infuriating. Accusing customers of stealing is obviously horrible for business. It is always important to keep in mind that people will remember and tell many more people about a bad customer service experience than they will a good one. If this is the same person that the previous review described, then I’m not sure why he is still employed. If I had any reason to set foot into that store in the future, you can be sure that I won’t now.

I will now drive right past Aquip on the way to another hot tub place. The workers seem helpful but the owner or manager is rude and unwilling to help. First he would not honor the warranty on the cover we bought from them 6 months ago. It is tearing at the seams and is clearly low quality. Then he was rude as we tried to find the manufacturer of the hot tub we own. Asked me, «don’t you have google? Look it up? I’m sorry, I thought I was in a hot tub store!!! And lastly, i tried to order a topside control and he said to order it on the internet, it will be cheaper. I will never go back and recommend people to take their business elsewhere.
