Lanza is overall terrible. The pizza is mediocre at best, and the Mushroom pizza was inedible – the mushrooms tasted rotten. We had to throw away half a pizza. The wings are soggy and didn’t come with blue cheese, celery, or any of the standard accompaniments, and the sauce is watery and bland. The sandwiches are soggy and taste like they’re made from old ingredients. My sandwich was supposed to come with fries – it didn’t. All in all a terrible experience. I can’t recommend anything about this place.

I have tried this place out several times and I really wanted to like it. The main problem is that Lanza’s is very inconsistent. Everybody seems to make the same item differently. When they first opened I was told that their baked ziti was wonderful. It wasn’t. We ordered the ziti dinner and it was served only with basic garlic bread and no salad. The ziti was, unfortunately, gummy. It didn’t live up to its $ 12.00 price. We asked for a box and the bread was removed from our table, so we couldn’t put it with our leftovers. Then we believe that the restaurant changed hands, so we tried it again, but this time with take-out. We tried salads a few times and they were hardly ever the same. The first few we got had ample ingredients, but thereafter became less and less. Again, for almost $ 10.00, this isn’t acceptable. The hoagies were average and the pizza’s were good. Their menu of lunch specials was on the counter so a couple of days later we came in for lunch. I asked for the lunch menu and the server said that they didn’t have a different menu for lunch. A few days later while going into the bagel place next door I see an easel at Lanza’s with a lunch menu on it !!! I came back a couple of days later, saw the easel inside, asked the older gentleman if they have lunch specials and he says no !!! So confusing. I will continue to go back to a restaurant if I like what they serve, but the reason I do go back is that I expect the same thing as I had enjoyed previously. This area is full of Pizza restaurants so, If they can get their act together plus price their food a bit more realistically for the neighborhood as well as the product, they may have something.

I have worked in Feasterville, Pa for 15 years eating @ the same place for most of them. One day my co-worker said to try Lanza Pizzaeria. So I did, WOW! I’m glad I did. Rolls are perfectly fresh and the turkey hoagie I had was great! I now eat there at least 2 x’s a week. 3 if you include our Saturaday pizza’s This place won’t disappoint! Keep up the good work Lanza’s.

We have plenty of pizza shops and family owned Italian restaurants in our area, but I always welcome checking out the new game in town, especially when I get a craving for a pepperoni pizza. I noticed they also had cheesesteaks made with a 10 ounce sirloin on their own homemade rolls, so I could not pass that up, choosing to make it a hoagie with provolone, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Okay let’s talk about the pizza, I asked if they could make it a thin crust and she said, «well, I guess we can roll it out to be thin», that should have been my first clue, isn’t pizza dough supposed to be stretched or have I watched too much television? The dough was tougher than tough and I had asked for and paid extra for extra pepperoni and to me it was a normal amount, cover the pie folks, I’m the one eating it, I do not mind paying extra and the cheese just was not good, instead of stringing out, it also was tough and had to be completely bit off and a knife and fork ended up working better. The cheesesteak hoagie was fantastic, good quality meat, fresh veggies, the roll was great, chintzy on the cheese, one of the better cheesesteak hoagies we have had. I would order it again in a heartbeat. This place is brand new and it is family owned, the grandfather brought many recipes from his home in Italy and the cousin has been in the pizza business for over thirty years. They claim to make all of their pasta, sauces and breads, which I do need to try once I get over my anger… I called in for delivery, which is a $ 1.50 charge, pretty much the going rate and was told it was cash only, since they were new and did not have credit set up, again no problem, even though their menu does state they accept the major credit cards. However, after paying the driver I asked if I could have a to go menu and he went back out to his van to get me one. Inside of this menu were coupons galore for meal deals which all totaled so much less than the $ 24.00 I had paid for one pizza and one hoagie! One for instance, one large, one topping pizza plus two hoagies or cheesesteaks, plus two orders of fries were being offered for $ 20.99! I could go on, so many meal deals with much more food and lower costs and no one offered this to me or said one word! To me that was a bad business practice and I’m still fuming. It is an Italian restaurant and pizzeria, also offering wings, appetizers, hoagies, wraps, burgers, salads, hot sandwiches like sausages or meatballs, cheesesteaks, stromboli’s, calzones, roll ups, cannoli’s, homemade soups and pasta and Italian entrees. I adore antipastas, homemade pastas, sauces and breads, so I know that I will give them another chance, one day and then I may revise my rating. This is a BYOB.
