This place has a grate concept. 3 wine taps with 4 bottles each. Sweat smi sweet, and dry. It’s a good place to meet up with friends and have a glass of wine. The wine isn’t overpriced and the staff is friendly. This place has the potential for 5 stars. However the owner is rude and only helps regular customers. I over heard her berating her staff for the in ability to help multiple customers at a time. She also said«I’m the owner I don’t work here.» Whole the staff was busy with customers she hangs out with her friends and ignores customers. I’ve been in here a few time and have sean her be out right rude to staff and customers. The last time I was there I saw a staff member quit because of it.

I was downtown with my family and we stopped next door to get some coffee(which was awesome) and then decided to go here and get some wine for dinner that night. When we walked in the owner was behind the register and immediately gave us a dirty look because we had dared bring our six year old in to her establishment. I know, the gall of some people! We were looking for a specific type of wine and looked up and down the racks without locating it. Several times we were about five feet from the owner, who was doing absolutely nothing behind the register, and not once did she say hello or offer to help us with anything. Even though it was obvious that we were searching for something she was purposefully giving us the cold shoulder. Funny thing is we found it as we were leaving but she was so utterly rude we left without it because I will not give my money to somebody that clearly doesn’t want my business. Hey owner-you’re not the only place in town that sells wine! I will never go there again and will not recommend it to anyone I know. If you want some great coffee though make sure you hit the place next door!

This is a cute place to meet up with friends and enjoy a nice glass of wine. They have a nice selection to chose from as well as cheese and crackers etc to enjoy. The only thing negative I have to say is the prices, to try and sample is almost $ 3 and a half glass is almost as much as a full glass of wine in a restaurant. Otherwise, it’s a great place to check out!

Awesome place for fun wine tasting! Met a friend in town and we just popped in not sure what it was all about and we loved it! Tasted a bunch of wines, and settled on our favorites. Nice atmosphere. Awesome playlist. Helpful staff!

Pretty cool place, not much to choose from though. The staff was nice, but didn’t really share any info about the wines. You were left to figure it out yourself.

This is an interesting concept. The shop has several wine stations where different wines are available to sample. Using a prepaid card you can buy a taste, half glass or full glass. The wines are reasonably priced, mostly under $ 20 a bottle with a big selection in the $ 10-$ 15 range. I enjoyed the wines I’ve purchased here and will probably go back to buy bottles. The café aspect is not perfect. The food selection is very limited, just a few small bits that are pricey for what they are. The seating area is an awkward setup. I couldn’t find a place to sit that felt comfortable and private. This is annoying because there is a huge room in the back for private parties. They keep the door tantalizingly open, but don’t allow patrons to sit there. I really wish they would open it up for normal use. The shop is manned by a single employee. Although the shop is not usually terribly busy, you’ll have to wait for service if you happen to come during a busier wave.

After a very long and disappointing day, my mother and I found this place and our spirits soared. The guy who worked here really was knowledgable and easy to talk to. His recommendations were spot on. Mom and I are no wine novices either. I will be back and recommend it to anyone.

The Wine Café has a cool urban atmosphere inside, and an interesting array of wines(and some beers) for sale. There are 12 wines you can sample as a «taste», «half glass», or «full glass»(they vary daily) from these nifty automatic dispensers after loading money on a card. However, their idea of a «full glass» is pretty small to be paying up to $ 7 per glass. Pricey, but fun to try new/different wines. Plus: they’re open on Sundays!

I ventured out to try their free tasting as a part of fayettevilles forth Friday event, they had advertised it on facebook for weeks and I was excited to go try some new wines and who doesn’t like free wine? I was rather disappointed. It was an event so it was pretty busy, I walked in and saw what I assumed was the line for the tasting– another customer in the store stated that I had to walk up to the counter and get a wine glass. It is sad that the customers in the store had to tell me this– shouldn’t this be their job? I noticed that they sold beer as we walked up to the counter I asked for a glass and was given one, my husband asked if they had any cold beers he could buy– they stated no. I assume that this has more to do with the liquor license of the business they operate, but it was a little bit of a disappointment for him knowing that not loving wine there was nothing for him here. So I got my tasting glass and went back to stand in the area of the tasting. I waited for a good bit to be recognized and offered the first pour of the tasting. No luck until a group of middle aged customers walked up and pretty much forced themselves to get a pour. I guess that is how it is supposed to work? I have to ask them to do their job? She poured them the glass and then went right back to her conversation with what I assume was a regular or personal friend. I was tired of waiting again so I interrupted and asked for the first pour. I was poured my portion and then she looked like she was going to resume her conversation. I had to blurt out quickly asking about the wine, to find out what wine I was even drinking. I didn’t go back in for the other featured wines, it didn’t feel right to have to ask and be treated like I was. I don’t think I will be back to any of the events or even this store. They seem more interested in their regular customers and personal friendships than to try to win new customers. Oh, and they need a better store front or even better signage we walked by this location a good three times before realizing this is what we came for.

Angie, the owner, does a good job of providing a diverse selection of wines, most of them not terribly expensive. The selection of South American and Spanish wines is particularly expansive for this town. I like the wine dispensing stations for trying out wines that are not familiar. I also enjoyed a recent wine class/tasting on New Zealand wines although I think the price for the classes is a little high. As another reviewer mentioned, the shop has a nice décor and indoor and outdoor seating. A real addition to downtown Fayetteville.

It’s nice, definitely a breath of fresh air in Fayetteville. The owners are very friendly, and its nicely decorated and clean. I would rate it higher, but their wine machine is a gimmick. You get 2 sips of wine for the smallest serving(basically a smell moreso than a taste) and the full size pour is a ¼ glass… total rip off. But fun if you like to try different wine and have lots of money to blow.

I LOVE this place. My BF and I were on Hay St. walking around passing the time when we stumbled upon this little gem. When we walked in we knew this is was a little peice of heaven on earth. Tons and Tons and Tons of wine! The sommelier asked if he could help us and then explained the concept behind the café. Wine stations where you could get tastes, half glasses, or full glasses on a prepaid card. Cheese, Truffles, and Cupcakes to munch on and in door and outdoor seating. We had such a great time, we spent hours tasting all kinds of great wines and then brought a few home to enjoy there as well. The sommelier showed us the event room that they have conferences, showers and parties in too. It really is such a cool, hip, and trendy place. I really hope they do well because it is an awesome concept.

I hadn’t been back to Fayetteville since December, and this little shop had popped up since then. The owner was in and helped us with what we were looking for, and she was quite knowledgeable on the wines in her shop. She also organizes special tasting and pairing events at times. The thing that I thought was cool were the tasting stations. You can purchase a refillable card and get a taste, a glass, or more for certain prices on a rotating of selections of wine. This reduces the need to have someone pour for you. Very cool idea. All in all, a great place with a huge selection(wine and craft beer) in the growing downtown Fayetteville. Well done, Wine Café.
