Came here to avoid fast food. Great choice. The spinach dip was ok. But the buffalo shrimp was perfectly fried — not greasy and the waitress was very pleasant. Will come back. Oh — the GM checked in — very nice.

Best kept secret in Fayetteville. Rodney is a wonderful GM and the food is as good as I’ve ever had and he makes a great drink. Prices are very reasonable for everything that comes on the plate. Can’t say enough about this restaurant. Please don’t come because I like being seated right away :-)

Went here for Mother’s day, I had 3 mothers with me (my fiancée, her mother and her grandmother). I have to say that the artichoke and spinach dip and the crab dips are finger licking good. You will want to lick the plate. I tried, but my fiancée wouldn’t let me. :-)
The service is great, the staff is attentive and they listen and meet all of your requests. I love this place and can’t wait to go back.

Went with friends and everything was delicious. This time my shrimp were fresh and piping hot and not over cooked like so many places do and my husband’s spicy chicken pasta dish was fabulous as well. It is obvious there are new chefs in the kitchen since our last visit. Well done. The manageris always very attentive as well.

I have been impressed each visit. The first was for drinks with business contact for drinks. We had the calimari and it surpassed the local competition (Frank’s at the Old Mill and GA Shrimp Co.) by a landslide. It was fresh and incredibly light. Our bartender was whitty, and very enjoyable. The second visit I ordered a crab cake and small ceaser. The crab cake was a large portion that was subtly seasond perfectly. The ceaser was standard. My other half got the chicken sandwich and was very happy. Our server was pleasant and the GM checked in.
Overall good food and the service has been exceptional.

Are here with friends on Saturday evening. The food is very good but the service not so much. We felt very rushed. The place was not that busy but the wait staff hovered, were in a hurry to clear our table. We wanted to visit and catch up but they made that impossible.

Had a very bad experience yesterday at The Village Café. Had left a message early in the afternoon for evening reservations for my husbands birthday. I never got a call back, so assumed they had my reservation. We showed up to a hostess who was busy on the phone taking a order, never acknowledged us but we were in a good mood so waited almost 5 minutes for her to finish her call and finally say hello. Then she laughed off the fact that they never checked the messages so had no reservation. It didn’t look over busy so we thought no problem they will take care of us, but no she flatly said they were full and could not seat us. She was extremely unprofessional and a little rude! So we decided to take a walk next door to the very welcoming El Reposo!
I have noticed problems in the past with wait staff and management at The Village Café, but was very surprised how unprofessional they truly are. One of the men in our party stayed to talk to the manager who just made terrible excuses and offered a 10% discount? So sad, I had a few good meals here in the past, but will go to The City Café down the road or one of the other local restaurants that want our business in the future. Recommend extreme patience and low expectations to anyone wanting to dine here!

Ate here on NYE and the food and service was excellent. We can’t wait to go back and try more!

Let me start with, the food was outstanding! We had a 7pm reservation and got seated before that. We sat with our friends for over 15 minutes with no visit by the wait staff. I finally stopped a waiter working another table and asked who might be taking care of our table… he came back a few minutes later and said he (Evan)would be our food consultant. I was kind of surprised that he didn’t know he had our table, he had walked past us several times before I stopped him. We placed our drink orders and all seemed to be working well. The wine was delivered and served, orders were taken for dinner and appetizers. He said I’ll be right back with some bread for you. A little later he stopped by to see how we were doing and we asked about the bread… it’s just coming out of the oven and will be right here. Another 5 minutes goes by and the bread shows up with our appetizers. Appetizers were fantastic! Our entrees were delivered in a timely manner after the appetizers. My wife had ordered a house salad with her entrée, which wasn’t delivered with the entrée. Actually was brought to her about 5 minutes after we started on our entrees. Seems like this food consultant might need some education about how to properly serve a table, when you come to the table and ask if anyone needs anything and you’re told… water. I shouldn’t have to ask for it again. We thoroughly enjoyed the food but thought the service really needed a lot of improvement. First time at the Village Café since it moved from the last location.

Loved the Mediterranean salad for lunch! Excellent service and great prices. The manager is doing an amazing job. Made us feel so welcome that I came back a week later with a different group of friends.

This is my favorite place to lunch whenever I have to go to Fayetteville for a doctor’s appt. The service is great, the food is very good and the atmosphere is cute and cozy. Rodney the manager is wonderful!

Great lunch service today and really enjoyed meeting General Manager, Rodney. He immediately remembered Lily’s name, our 6 year old and sent her home with a small bouquet of delicate roses. The seafood bisque was a awesome balance, perfectly seasoned and rich! The French Onion was classic with lots of cheese. Lily demolished the Caesar salad quickly and the Village salad looked fresh and delicious. Mine and Lily’s Pecan Crusted Chicken with Fettuccine Carbonara is always my favorite classic. I loved it and Lily devoured the steamed broccoli. This is a fabulous choice in Fayetteville and we are so thankful for the hospitality always extended when dining here!

Great food! outstanding service! nice atmosphere and convenient location across from the Fayette Piedmont Hospital. This is one of the best restaurants if not the best in Fayetteville. I had heard good things about the Village Café and decided to stop by for an early lunch and check it out. It was not very crowded but by the time I had finished my meal it had begun to fill up with women’s groups and Xmas parties and several regular customers. The one thing that stood out besides the delicious mushroom soup and Ruben sandwich was fact that the manager, Rodney, was very friendly and made it a point to talk with each customer. The atmosphere was also very nice and would be a nice place to go for a special dinner. There was a bar as well as an outside patio which I am sure is busy in the summer. I understand why it is a local favorite and I will be back and will bring my friends.

Really enjoy eating here — lunch or dinner. Wait servers are very attentive and helpful. Rodney has been a great addition —

Our party of six all enjoyed our dinners. The server was attentive and friendly. Most restaurants do not serve rare prime rib, but they do cook it perfectly here. The hot bacon dressing on the salad was delicious. Everyone loved the potatoes. We shall return.

First visit. Clean crisp looking place. OK menu and wine list. A few gems on the wine list. Friendly and knowledgeable server. Food was well prepared. We each had a fish dish. Perfectly prepared. Moist and not overcooked with excellent sauces. Usual mixed veggies served on a dinner plate were crisp and well seasoned. All of the food was served hot to the table. We’ll be back.

Food and the service was great. The bread pudding at the end was a great ending. We will definitely try this again.

Me and the hubby went on a groupon deal. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and romantic. The table cloths were white and crisp, with a tea light candle and real flowers on the table
For the appetizer we ordered the spicy calamari, which was lighly breaded and fried to perfection, not greasy like Red lobster. For the entrees I ordered the filet mignon and the hubby ordered the 14oz charbroiled ribeye, both medium. Steaks were cooked perfectly.
In a nutshell, the service we received was superb. Tracy was our server, she was very friendly and attentive. Overall, I would defiantly eat here again duh! Lol, food and service was good.

Three of us tried this restaurant today for lunch. We had high hopes based on a few web reviews we had read, but our expectations were not met. First the good point: the décor is quite nice, with an updated Tuscan feel. Next, the food: one of us had the Cuban sandwich and fries. It was described as «unremarkable.» One of us had a grilled chicken sandwich and fries, and it was good. The third person had the flatbread ham and cheese sandwich, which came with a bag of Ruffles on the plate. It was not good. The sandwich was falling apart, barely holding in the two greasy, salty pieces of ham. Finally, the service: our waitress was cheerful and pleasant, but not attentive. Our bill was 34.00, without tip. In our opinion, this price was not worth what we had /​experienced. We will not go back.

Decided to try this restaurant because of a groupon promo. Did not have high expectations. Thought it would just be a casual nothing special place. Boy was I wrong.
They have a wonderful patio for eating on and nice interior with a bistro type feel to it. Nice table cloths on all the tables even at lunch.
My daughter ordered their Reubin and declared it the best she had ever had. Meat was lean AND moist. Bread toasted just right.
They run daily lunch specials that are guarranteed to be quick and at a special price. I picked a salad. Don’t recall exactly what it was, but remember it being fabulous.
I can’t wait to go back for dinner.
Service was great… exactly on target for bringing things when you ask and how you ask for them.
It is nestled back behind other businesses in a shopping center across form the Piedmont Hospital on HWY 54 so easy to miss if just driving by. Great place for lunch or dinner –with family or a date.
