Gem of a store. Grass fed local beef AND dairy! Can’t get this anywhere else. Bonus local honey and a few breads… Fresh free range eggs too– even had some duck and turkey eggs. Get your name on the bacon list — it goes fast. I’ll be back!

This place is the gem I have been looking for since I moved to Fayetteville. I came from a large metropolitan area where places like this are plentiful. Needless to say, Fayetteville has been a HUGE culture shock for me. :) Although it is a little pricey, it’s well worth spending a little more to have meat, eggs, butter etc from a local vender.

I give this place two stars for their friendly atmosphere. They’re meat quality prevented a higher rating. My wife and I bought two pounds of ground beef at $ 8.50 a pound. We were told it was natural beef that was grain fed making it a delicious meat. We got home and cooked sloppy Joes that have been in our life for well over 3 years. The taste with the new meat was completely different. We expected a different flavor but not a flavor that didn’t taste like beef. The texture of the beef was different and the flavor was unbearable. Each bite left an after taste that we couldn’t stand. We tossed out 9 sloppy Joes and the leftover meet to whatever wild animals roam my backyard. It was a very disappointing experience.

First of all, I live in Charlotte and was visiting Fayetteville on Easter. The kids were coloring eggs, so we wanted free-range farm fresh eggs from a local farmer. After some Unilocal research, I found this place. I never thought I would find a shop like this. We found our free range eggs, but lo and behold, the meat is awesome!!. My family is all about buying pastured pork and grass-fed beef. I bought a 9 lb pork butt, and the owner told me that she convinced the farmer to finish the pigs with fruit. She said that I would notice the difference in taste. I thought«whatever.» I smoked the pork for 8 or 9 hours(mind you this was my very first effort at smoking a pork butt), and hands down it was the best pork I have EVER eaten — so sweet and flavorful. The shop owner is so very helpful and attentive. She really takes pride in the quality of the meat. There are so many other unique artisan products too. We got an awesome Paleo snack mix too. I will definitely return next time I’m in the area and need some meat.

I love the idea of it and I would gladly spend tons of money on quality meat, but I feel like some cuts are not worth it. I paid $ 23 for a bag of soup bones, which is borderline insane imo. Which reminds me that I wish things were better labeled. You don’t really know how much you’re paying until they ring you all up. It’s a clean place and they do offer quite the variety, even some almond butter, goat cheese, quail, etc. Also, the girls I’ve interacted with were always delightful! I would recommend it for anyone who is not on a tight budget.

Really love this store, so much cheaper than ordering things online. However, not all cuts of meat are equal. Did not enjoy the rack of lambs… But the rib eyes were awesome! Since the meat is lean, got a great tip not to grill on high heat. Great store to visit and get a start on the new year on eating healthier!

Where else can you get such good, fresh, healthy, organic, grass-fed food for your family? I am addicted to the milk they sell here. They are always friendly and ready to help.

If I could give zero stars I would! I called and put in a special order for a prime rib roast the Thursday before Easter, I was told it would be ready for pick up Saturday as well as a price estimate of 97 – 104 dollars, depending on the final weight of the roast. On Saturday morning I called and confirmed that my roast was ready for pick up. Great! Upon arrival the women in the store told me I must have called the wrong business and they had no such order for a prime rib, I proceeded to call the number I had in my phone which I had called that morning, which rang her phone which I was standing next too. She continued to play dumb. And said she had no order. Luckily I was able to go to harris teeter and get a roast but this business is rude an unprofessional. Not cool to leave someone with out a meal that was planned days prior especially on a holiday. They have lost my business.

This store just makes me happy! The meat is amazing. The people that own it have a heart for what they do, just in the few interactions I have had with them you can tell they care. I cant say to much about the ‘baker’ part of the store. But the meat is just amazing. They have great prices for their products too. They will tell you anything you want to know about the meats. I love that they have a storefront cause it makes it so easy to walk in grab a wooden hand basket and load it up with meat for two weeks. My only tip would be if you see a type of cut or certain meat., buy it then. They don’t always have the same things. I went it for pork chops the other day and they didn’t have them, so buy it when you see it or it will be gone the next time you are back for more. The store is laid out very nicely and highly organized. The meat is all in plastic trays that are labeled. Normally beef and lamb are in one cooler and the other is pork and chicken. I am a big fan of this place and I love that when ever I buy something it is going to them and not some big corporation. Follow them on Facebook they actively post what they are getting in and will answer any of your questions there. When I go I normally park in the free two hour parking by the museum then walk up to the store.

If you are serious about high quality, grass fed meats and dairy you have to check this place out. We’ve been buying meat from Butler Angus Ranch for about a year and half and try to eat pastured meats whenever possible. Being able to visit the store 6 days a week is so much easier than having to get down to the farmer’s market on Saturday mornings. Along with beef, pork, lamb and chicken they also have dairy products(delicious grass fed cheese and even ice cream!) and grains. Non-GMO, local grits… yes please! Oh, one more thing… you might be a little shocked by prices… this is what meat really costs!!! These animals have been raised with dignity and respect and that’s something I’m willing to pay a little more for.

Love this new place on Franklin Street in downtown Fayetteville! The butchers are Jason and Kristel from Butler Angus Ranch(grass-fed beef also sold at the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market) and the baker is Sharpe Co. Artisan Breads. They have fresh baked goods, a great selection of meat(beef, lamb, pork), and dairy, as well as various other local and handmade items like soaps and lotions. The milk is probably as close to raw as you can get in NC(pasteurized, not ultra-pasteurized like everything in the grocery store). The ground beef is second to none. If you are looking for quality local ingredients in Fayetteville, this place is a must!
