Tar Heel Furniture Gallery

We stopped into Tar Heel last year (2015) after searching about a dozen stores for a specific Ashley sofa we wanted. The other stores were either unwilling to help or highly overpriced.
Tar Heel worked with us. They put forth extra effort to find the set we wanted and was able to order it. Then they charged a very reasonable price. Also, their delivery company was very courteous and professional when setting up my furniture.
They’re worth a visit, they may have exactly what you’re looking for.

I bought my bedroom set at Tar Heel furniture gallery and I absolutely love it. The quality is amazing! Ive had a little bit of a problem with my mattress dipping in on the side I sleep on the most. But it doesn’t bother me that much. It did take about a month to receive my furniture but im fine with the wait. Good things are worth waiting for. I decided to go look around for a dining room set. I like to look around and get prices and weigh options. It takes me about a week to think about my purchasing decisions. Furniture is not cheap and I plan to have what I buy for a long time! I spoke with a sales woman there (cant recall the name) and was looking at small tables for my small dining room and there wasn’t a large selection. She pushed me on a table set I wasn’t crazy about but it would have worked. We went to her office to get me financed. I was just wanting to see what it would be down, what payments would be and what was going to be the interest on it. Once I told her I wasn’t going to be buying at that moment but maybe in a week or two she seemed to have gotten offended. As if I was wasting her time. She lost my interest in buying from this store. I shopped around for my bedroom and it took me a month but I bought from them. I was going to do the same with my dining room set. I would have used the site they have set up but its not user friendly and it only has ¹⁄₈^th of what they actually sell in he store. Plus there are no prices on the site and small pictures. I would love to pick out what I like on their site and just walk in and buy it but its not that simple.
Bottom line?
The products they sell are high quality but the sells people are rude with noses in the air. If you don’t know for sure what you want in their store than don’t go in it.

My husband and I have utilized Tar Heel Furniture Gallery twice now and have spent around $ 10,000.00 with them. We first worked with Jennifer, then with Eric for our second purchase since Jennifer was out of the office. Both sales representatives were extremely polite and helpful. I am very thorough and spent a lot of time debating my purchases, and both Jennifer and Eric took the time to answer all of my questions, offer suggestions, and get me what I felt to be very fair prices on special order items from Bassett. Our first order arrived quickly, within about two weeks when we were told it could be up to six. Delivery went smoothly and the men were beyond polite; they even offered (without being asked) to outfit all of the legs with felt pads so as not to scuff our laminate floors. When one of our tables was found to have some slight manufacturer defects (not at all Tar Heel’s fault), we were offered a discount without any hassle whatsoever. I am now waiting for my second order to arrive and expect everything to go just as smoothly. I would recommend Tar Heel Furniture Gallery to anyone; if you don’t particularly like their main floor selection, you can find lots of products in their catalogues (they can order Ashley, Bassett, etc.), and we found their pricing to be much lower than buying from Bassett directly (even during Bassett’s «big sales»). I’ve shopped for furniture many times at many different places, and this is by far the best experience I’ve had. We will keep going back to them until our house is complete.
