My son has been enrolled at Snyder since he was 15mo… he’s now turning 4. As a work from home mom, who also travels a lot, I needed options & I drove all around town & asked what felt like MILLIONS before landing at Snyder. We have been pleased since day 1. He began going 3PT days… then when he turned 2, during the summer, 3FT days & then that fall 5FT times. Every teacher has been nicer than the next. We are constantly told how advanced our son is for his age… just recently was told«its amazing how you can have a full conversation with a 3.5 year old…» they helped with POTTYTRAINING(10 stars in my book). Miss Lasuane(aka Miss Shawn as my son lovinging calls her) was his 2 year old teacher & he still must run in there every morning & afternoon to say Good morning & bye. While I am so very sorry other’s have had bad experiences, I just can’t say the same for mine. Every school & child care center has issues, & has good & bad days… but the minute I’ve ever had a concern, it was immediately addressed. We drop him off between 8a &9a & pick him up between 4p &5p… while some rooms are more crowded than others, I’ve never questioned my son’s care & the staffing ratio. I love all things about Snyder — as a quasi helicopter mom, it was not easy at all trusting his care to anyone — but it was easy at Snyder. They listen to any concerns I have & are always very responsive. Our son has only 1 more FT year left, then he is off to Alma Easom & Kindergarten… I’m feeling sad already but know that we will likely continue using them for after school care. Give them another try… you will be pleased :)

The staff is very friendly– it’s a shame they are understaffed. It took me 3 months to realize the staff/student ratios were questionable(rooms are often combined right up to the 1:15 that NC allows, especially in the mornings) and my 1 year old never really adjusted to being dropped off in a different room with different teachers each day. Other things to ask about in your tour: additional fees for seasonal activities($ 75 «summer fee», $ 150 «fall fee»), student staff ratio(ask questions when they cite 1:8!), and menu substitutions(spoiler alert: it’s always pop tarts). If your little one is small, ask about frequency of diaper changes– the overcrowding sadly leads to soaking wet diapers and, for us, severe rashes. Plan your visit around 8 am to see exactly what I mean about combined rooms and questionable ratios. I was attracted to this center because of the Christian curriculum, but it is NOT5 star care. There are much better options in the area and my Son now goes to one of them.

This is the most incredible group of teachers and staff. My son has grown emotionally and mentally beyond my expectations. The director is compassionate and treats my children like her own. Coming from a mother with mild anxiety, I have never felt more at ease. My daughter has diabetes and the staff has always stayed on top of her needs. We don’t have any family in Fayetteville so we won’t leave our daughter with anyone other than the Snyder staff because we know she’ll get the care she needs. If you’re searching for a daycare or preschool, you can stop looking now. :)
