I got burned twice on this place. Never again. Fist time food was not bad. Typical«Korean» Japanese restaurant. I don’t know why they insist on exploiting Japanese culture. Anyway. I guess no body orders asahi beer there because the batch I got was stale. Went there the other day with my wife and kid and there was just too many misses. Miso soup had a mosquito in it. Nothing wrong with a little honest dirt but the wife didn’t take to kindly of it.(She is Japanese) I actually would prefer a bug than some ones hair in my food. I had a Coke and the waitress refilled it with sweet tea. Tamago(egg) is supposed to be sweet and is usually for children. It isn’t supposed to have wasabi on it. The egg was dry and tasteless. Some people may thinking petty of me but if your going to represent another country and advertise it as so it should reflect in the quality of customer service and quality of food. There is an authentic Japanese sushi restaurant in Raleigh called sushi tsune. If you want local authentic Japanese miyabi’s in Fayetteville. They still douse everything in «fancy sauce» like everywhere els but it’s still better than the rest. There is only one Korean/Chinese ran Japanese restaurant I go to that is really good and that is Sakura on cliffdale and skybo.

Love this place. Fast service and an excellent menu. I recommend the hibachi steak. Flavorful and tender steak. The Gyoza is hand made in the restaurant!

We ordered food to go. Very quick and really friendly staff. Sushi was good but not my favorite I’ve had in Fayetteville. My husband had steak hibachi and loved it. It’s a little hard to find. I wouldn’t have known it was there if not for Unilocal

Another«korean/japanese/chinese» fusion restaurant for the military folks. lol. Their buffet is okay… i think it’s $ 7.99 or something the usual stuff like bulgogi, deh jji gogi(spicy pork), kimchi, kimbab, chap jae, mandoo, fried chicken(lol), etc… i honestly went here b/c i wanted something remotely Korean and was in the neighborhood(okay, okay, i got lost lol) I would return if I’m in the neighborhood again to get a quick fix.

Husband took me here to get some sushi while I was visiting him. I am a sushi snob as I have had some of th best sushi out here in WA state but unfortunately I have to say that I will never return to this restaurant again. All of the sushi we ordered was covered in teriyaki sauce and the sushi was not fresh by any means. I hope there is better sushi in town because I can’t imagine life without it!

Great sushi! The restaurant is a little compact and a tad musty BUT, great for a quick and tasty lunch grab before meandering on back to work. I also think that Japanese and Korean fusion style eateries are one of the best flavorful meals to dance around on the palate. Yummy! /Masisseoyo

Went there for lunch with my husband. From outside it really difficult to see or say there is a restaurant in this building :) We ordered Special Salmon Sushi Roll and Calamari Hibachi. It was pretty good and tasted great! The server mentioned that the Special Salmon Roll was one of the best choices on the menu. We got free Miso Soup, but it was the smallest soup portion I have ever seen. I didn’t care about the miso soup as I did not even expect to get one. They also offer a buffet Monday — Friday and located right outside the gate of Ft. Bragg. I will most likely comeback again.

Excellent hibachi grill dishes and sashimi! They also have a lunch Buffett that’s delicious and worth the bucks.

What looks like a hole in the wall next to a dry cleaners is actually hibachi paradise. I lived a block away from this place for a year and never tried it, and once I did, I was so mad at myself! Great hibachi. I’ve never done the sushi but they do have a sushi bar and a lunch buffet as well. The people that run it are really friendly, they always greet you with a smile whether dining in or taking out. Since it is right outside Reilly gate, I like to occasionally call in my order as I’m leaving work and grab it on my way home. They may not have the flashy show of the big hibachi restaurants but this place is great for a quick bite!

This place is AMAZING!!! I was in town on business from Los Angeles and was looking for some good sushi and was blown away by this place. Everything there was so fresh and delicious!!! I wish they would open one here in West Hollywood!!! We loved everything we ordered and the place was super clean. The service was wonderful and everyone there was really nice and attentive. I can’t wait for my next trip back to Fayetteville, which I never thought I would say, but I am already craving their Hibachi Steak and Sushi!!!

I am so addicted to their Hibachi Steak that I come back at least once a week. It can be seen as a little overpriced but you get a big portion and a complimentary miso soup and slices of oranges. Plus it’s just so delicious! I also love their Shrimp Tempura and the little sauce that comes with it. It’s just so good! The sushi is very average compared to some of the amazing stuff I have tried elsewhere, but it’s not bad. I like the Spicy Tuna or Spicy Shrimp, California Roll, and sometimes Unagi(so good but only 2 pieces for $ 6). The rest of the sushi menu is just OK so I’ve stopped trying and just stick to the ones I like.

I ordered a ‘Special Roll’ which was supposed to have salmon & yellow fin tuna. What I got was a california roll(fake crab & cucumber) with a thin shred of either tuna or mackrel inside. When I told the server I got the wrong roll, she agreed and called over a lil old man, who also agreed, then they called over the young ghetto punk who worked behind the sushi counter and he lied to my face about what was in my sushi! His words, «That IS salmon and yellowtail, you just can’t tell b/c it’s so thinly sliced. I don’t try to JIP my customers»… Instead of admitting their mistake, they’d rather lie(I’m white, so I guess they think I don’t know sushi) so they didn’t have to make me a new roll and use the premium ingredients they charged me $ 8 for. The roll was only 5 pieces. FAIL :( The rest of what I ordered was ok, but completely overpriced. Shrimp & cucumber salad only had 3 shrimp. Salmon nigiri was tiny and not the ‘good stuff’. The plus side– dinner with a friend is always a treat, no matter where the location; Mama-san was a very nice server and the seaweed salad was good. Free miso soup(the tiniest lil serving ever w/2 cubes of tofu and about 2 shreds of seaweed). I think this place is a cover– they must be smuggling immigrants, embezzling, or doing something shady b/c with business and food like this, their ship is gunna sink.

I know Fayetnam doesn’t have much to offer; so I came to this place with an open mind. I ordered three rolls to go.(Philly, volcano, and I can’t remember the last one.) I just can’t give this a good review! The rice was old and the seaweed was so stale that you couldn’t bite through the wrapper, you had to pull it apart. It had the consistency of a rubber band. I’ve been told the korean food was better, but I have yet to try it. Also, the miso soup was way too salty for my liking.

I ordered my standard litmus test for sushi which is the rainbow roll(see picture). I also ordered the volcano roll, simply to be adventurous. Ok before I get down and dirty with this review let me just put some things in perspective. In my opinion I have had some good sushi, especially in Jacksonville, Gainesville, and Orlando Florida. So when I rate sushi I am comparing the taste of the sushi I find to my past experience. That being said, Sapporo is not a bad place — for Fayetteville, NC. But, it’s also not good in the grand scheme of things. Alright back to the task at hand. My rainbow roll was ok, better than your grocery store’s sushi, but thats about it. As for the volcano roll… oh the volcano roll… you were a major disappointment. The volcano roll costs $ 12 which was a major rip off. It consists of a cucumber roll covered in shredded imitation crab meat and spicy sauce. That roll should have cost as much as a imitation crab meat roll ~$ 7. I felt used after I ate it. Bah. I don’t think I will be trying sushi here again

I went here for sushi last weekend and it was great. A lot better than alot of places near Fort Bragg(this place is right outside the gate).the place is owned by Koreans but they really know their sushi. Between the two of us we had 6 rolls and the tab was under 35 dollars what a steal. Back at school 6 rolls of sushi can cost you up to 80 dollars. And you don’t just get sushi you also get miso soup and orange slices :). This is now my go to place for sushi in Fayetnam.
