Closed. Thanks for making my trip to Fayetteville a waste. Spent 20 minutes to find you on a Saturday night, only to settle on your mediocre neighbor for a $ 4 tsp of cheese dip. I had other plans, but saw the great reviews and changed my plans. Beyond mad. Damn, where is the negative star category?

Meh… not impressed. I felt like I wasted money eating here. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in town that taste better than this place and have better service.

Being a Mexican girl from California it’s incredibly hard to please me as far as Mexican food is concerned… Salsa’s and Beer is AMAZING!!! Super authentic and delicious! If you think MiCasita’s is the best then don’t bother going here, you obviously know nothing of Mexican food. If you wanna learn something about Mexican food, then start here!!! You won’t be sorry!!!

Delicious and fresh! Self serve salsa bar and they give you beans(hummus texture) to dip your chips into. I ordered the lunch chicken flautas and to my surprise, it was filled with juicy and tender grilled chicken with pico de gallo no shredded crockpot style chicken at this place! Great service, too!

Great food, large portions. Waitstaff very friendly. A little out of the way but it beats waiting for a restaurant on Skibo on a Friday night. Had the Ranchero burrito and carnitas. Delicious.

First time here and it was empty, not a soul in sight. We sat down and enjoyed some of the best Mexican food I have had in a long while! The line salsa was amazing! The wait staff was courteous and prompt! Will be making this place a regular!

We did not even have a chance to try the food, as the restaurant itself turned us off immediately upon entering. We walked in to a nearly empty restaurant, with food scraps all over every table and the floor. The servers were sitting at the bar on their phones, instead of attending to the clearly disgusting restaurant. Not only that, a strong smell of garbage hit us as soon as we walked in. Needless to say, we definitely did not want to try the food after that. We had heard good things about the food, and were disappointed we didn’t even get past the front door!

This place honestly has some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. It’s made the top 10 best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at list no question. Service was good, and they started us off with some amazing chips and killer bean dip. The place has a self serve salsa bar where you can dig into about 6 types of salsa endlessly. We ordered the beef tamale(AMAZING — very flavorful and lemony, not like some of the other tamales I’ve eaten), Mexico City tacos(EVENBETTER — they give you three soft shell tacos lined with their absolutely delicious chipotle sauce and filled with three types of meat. The meat was charred and paired beautifully with the almost sweet flour tortilla and tangy sauce), and chimichanga(THEBEST — so crunchy and cheesy and cinnamon-y and homey… by far the best chimichanga I’ve ever eaten) The only average thing about the restaurant was the dessert. We tried the tres leches cake and it was a touch too sweet for our taste. But overall, we left the restaurant happier than ever!

Very good spot for lunch. Reasonably priced and very large plates. I had the Mexican tacos which was 3 tacos; 1 chicken, 1 steak and 1 pork. All were seasoned well and also came with some pinto beans with Picodegio on top. Very good and I would recommend. Here on business and again Unilocal didn’t let me down! Thanks to all who writes reviews and participates!

I think this is the best Mexican food in Fayetteville! The prices are great and the dishes are large. The service is always very friendly and that’s why my husband and I keep coming back. I’ve been to the location closer to post and this one is much better.

Went here yesterday for lunch and was not disappointed. At first I was thrown off because it looked like a fast food place but I guess it may have been before it was a salsas and beer. Menu was huge and same goes for the food. Their burritos are magnificent. Had one of their guava margaritas and it was not lacking anything. They have a small stand alone that has 6 different salsas you can try too… pretty cool. Food was good. Next time I want to get their fried ice cream!

Salsa’s and Beer makes the best Mexican food I’ve eaten in years. My wife had a chile relleno and taco combination and I ate an enchilada and taco combo. Both were excellent. Even the refried beans and rice were very good. The restaurant has a salad bar with salsa options for the tortilla chips, with the salsas ranging from mild to hot. We were full and happy for a very reasonable price.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Fayetteville, NC. This is the second of two restaurants that I know of. One of our favorite appetizer is the table side guacamole dip. All ingredients are fresh as the waiter prepares the dip. Also, the salsa bar is awesome.

Yum! Salsa bar is small but delightful. Lime salsa really is tasty. I also really enjoyed the spicy pumpkin but the heat def sneaks up on you so watch out! I ordered a sandwich. Traditionally, this sandwich is made on telera bread and comes with slices of queso fresco on top. This particular restaurant makes it on, what appears to be, Italian bread. Not the worst thing in the world, but I like the traditional way a little better. They were very accommodating when I asked that the steak not be chopped into little pieces and nicely left it whole for me. Excellent service! Will definitely bring my business back here again! Oh and they have pacifico on tap! Chips and salsa A+ Service A+ Torta de Milanesa B+

It’s as authentic as you can get in Fayetteville, they play traditional music and have some amazing salsa! The pumpkin and lime are mine and my husband’s favorite. The beer comes in a giant mug that I have to use both hands for. Good price too for what you get. Friendly staff as well.

First of all, why is the name Salsa ’ s and Beer? Does it belong to someone named Salsa? Or did they mean Salsas and Beer? Which would make sense considering the self serve salsa bar with a variety of delicious salsas in the middle. Also, there’s tv ’ s in the bathrooms. I guess so you don’t miss a second of those high intensity fútbol matches? The Molcajete was excellent but only came with 3 tortillas. Who does that? Luckily we got more every time we asked. The tacos looked yummy as well. In conclusion, food is great, grammer is important, service is fine, and tv ’ s in bathrooms, while weird, is maybe a good idea, especially if you come here for the bar.

It’s a small place with it’s own personality. You really do feel like you’re in Mexico while there. Just pretend like you don’t notice the tv in the bathroom. You start out with chips, bean dip, and the salsa bar. If I remember correctly they had six different types to choose from. The sweet tea is super good and of course come with free refills. Now, the service was crappy considering there were only a handful of folks there. But the food makes up for it. I got the breaded chicken tacos that came with rice and beans. Very good but my gall bladder is still protesting the extreme heat that accompanied this dish… and we won’t discuss the other lovely side effects of said spice;) I can honestly say it was very delicious and the portions are epic. I just wish the staff was more attentive. They were very polite once you got their attention though, lol. The prices are also very good and borderline cheap. If you are in the mood for affordable Mexican food with an authentic feel, this is the place!

Not all Salsas & Beer Restaurants are created equal! Grove Street is the best one; DONOTGOTOTHEONEINSPRINGLAKE. Grove Street has a good system down and should probably teach the spring lake crew how to run a restaurant. For the food: typical Americanized Mexican food. Their gimmick is bringing bean dip to the table and you get up and get your own salsa from a salsa bar. A nice deviation from the standard chip and table sauce as the salsa veriations are delicious. Huge menu, lots of options. Food prepared better than the other Salsas & Beer in Spring Lake. Attentive wait staff that care about doing a good job. This is the Salsas & BEer to go to– worth driving a little further off Bragg because at least here you will get your order, the way you ordered it, and in a timely manner.

New to Fayetteville and heard the Mexican food isn’t very good here. Been to Salsas and Beer twice now and pretty good. First time tried the pork and very good. It’s easy to not mess up an enchiladas and fajitas, but hard with pork. Was tender and lean, no fat and still good. Chips come out with a bean dip and they have like 6 different salsas that are self serve. The spicy pumpkin is good. Margaritas on Mondays are ok, but great for 2 bucks. Dollar bud light drafts on Thursdays too. Anyway, I’d recommend and be back. Staff is very friendly and the manager is very nice.
