The restaurant itself is nice and cozy, not huge, but not cramped, however, my review is geared toward their take out. Let me start by saying I really like the flavor of the food, but I feel like they’ve dropped off a bit as far as quality/value in the last year. I ordered some«beef on the sticks» as they call it, and when I got home, was irritated to find that they were not just well done, but charcoal burned to the point that one was inedible, and one stick was only half the size of the others. There were only 4 sticks per order, and it was 6 dollars! I was not impressed… I brought it to the manager’s attention, when I went in 2 days ago to pick up dinner for two, and the manager reluctantly took 3 dollars off of my order… when I got home with THAT order, after complaining, I realized that they had not given me the rice that went with either entrée(I had paid extra for fried rice instead of white), and that the ratio of vegetables to beef or chicken was ridiculous. at 12 dollars per entrée, I was really not happy. My boyfriend and I usually get two meals out of each entrée, but this time there was barely enough beef for one serving, plus no rice to supplement it. I’m going to the place across the street from now on, better prices, better food, and never had a problem.

We went here last night for dinner. The restaurant was pretty much empty when we arrived but did fill up after a bit. For apps we shared the appetizer sampler. It had spring rolls, crab rangoon, chicken wings, breaded shrimp, and beef on a stick. The presentation was awesome. The food was average Chinese takeout– good but nothing special.

We came here after looking on Unilocal for a local Chinese restaurant that we could dine in at. After looking online at the lunch menu prices we figured we would give it a try. When we sat down the host gave us a bowl of crispy wontons, which tasted good. We both ordered a chicken entrée off the lunch menu that was $ 5.95 each. I ordered the sesame chicken. All of the lunch entrees come with soup(egg drop or hot and sour), fried rice, spring roll and a crab rangoon. The soup came out(no lie) just as quick as the server went into the kitchen. The egg drop soup was hot and had a good flavor. No even 2 minutes had passed and our entrees were being served to us. The entrees too were hot and fresh. The sesame chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sauce was delicious and in all honesty, probably the best I have in Georgia. The spring roll was crispy, fresh and not greasy. The crab Rangoon and fried rice were good as well but nothing special about that. All in all, if you want the best Chinese food in the area I highly recommend this place. I will definitely return!!! :)

This is mine and my wife’s go to place for Chinese in the Fayetteville area. Always enjoyed everything I’ve gotten from there including the egg rolls, sizzling rice soup, Mongolian beef, and many other varieties of Chinese dishes. You can call ahead on you way home from work and the food will usually be up front and ready in less than 15 minutes and the portions are very generous. A couple can get one entrée, some rice, and some soup and be completely full with no left overs.

This is the only place we go for Chinese food and we have some others that are closer and we tried them but this one exceeds them all.

The BEST Chinese restaurant we go to as it is consistent and always delicious! Prices aren’t all that bad and while the menu is typical Americanize Chinese food the presentation for a small place in Grocery store shopping center is that of a 4-star restaurant! Service is friendly, fast, and competent. Atmosphere is nice but still personable Mom & Pop. Delivery is offered but Dine-in is a must. Yet to find a place we can recommend more highly for Chinese food than Royal Chef!

Royal Chef has some of the best Chinese food in Fayetteville. Located in the Publix shopping center, the location is average size but is cozy and quiet. The portions are good and the quality is excellent. I’ve had a dozen different items and all have been great. Pricing is average for lunch and dinner — lunch portions are low/average size. They also give a discount on Sunday if you have a church bulletin. Great spot!
