I have an odd relationship w/some clothing stores — — I find a ton of stuff I really like or absolutely nothing. I had a similar experience with Kohl’s, I use to shop there and NYCO all the time in college, then nothing for about 10 years. This Spring, I found several nice(not see thru or skimpy) dresses. I don’t understand how dresses are designed and made for grown women to wear — — presumably to work, church and other functions, that are so thin and revealing. There is a time and a place for everything, but I prefer not to hang out. Their Spring dress selection was great and prices reasonable. They have the Eva Mendes line which is promoted extensively. Meh, it was okay, but nothing was screaming my name. I was trying on right before closing and the clerks did not make me feel rushed or an inconvenience. I bought three dresses. After trying on one of them again at home, I knew I was going to take it back. I immediately placed that dress and the receipt back in the bag and in the trunk of my car. Wrong! I noticed it every so often but thought I had ninety days. I went back on the 53rd day after purchase… no refunds after 30 days w/receipt — store credit only. Now, I know I will likely find something there I like rather quickly, but I hate store merchandise credit. Ugh… anyway, my own fault because their return policy is printed on the back of the receipt. I do understand stores not wanting one random dress back after 90 days, but the dress I returned was still out hanging on the rack. A little annoying, but I can read and they adhered to their policy. I did look around a little after completing the return — — I really liked some of their jewelry — I will likely end up buying some of it w/my merchandise credit. Would have received four stars if not for the return policy!
