Natural Hair Rocks Salon

Tried to update my post, but deleted it… oops! I’ll just add it back.
My experience was horrible. I told her I was TENDER HEADED before she even started and she didn’t handle my head lightly at all. First of all when she was blow drying, she didn’t work in sections. She just took the brush and and yanked my head, I don’t have the kind of hair for that! It’s too thick, and my coils are too tight. Now I have had another stylist blow-​dry without sectioning, but it was nowhere near as painful.
Second, my hair frizzed up the next day. Can’t really blame her, but my last stylist managed to work some magic and had my hair straight for 2 weeks, rain or shine. I’m just saying.
Then she proceeded to charge me $ 30 for a trim (ridiculous) that she voluntarily did. I never asked, I assumed it was included like most salons. Clearly, if I had known it was extra on top of the $ 80, I wouldn’t have let her cut my hair, which she butchered. I thought that I was getting a better deal because her’s included a protein treatment that I really needed, but I ended up paying $ 110 at the end of the day for some BS. But I learned a lesson, can’t trust every stylist to know what they’re doing.
Pros: It is a nice salon, clean and well kept. BUT
Cons: Customer service needs some work. (a lot)

Owner’s response: «No one butchered your hair. Next time go to a salon you can afford cause clearly we are out of your price range.»
This goes back to customer service. I think it was very unprofessional. This is MY review and MY opinion.

I received the silk press with hydration steam over the weekend. My hair is fine and did not keep the curl the next day after I wrapped it at night. However, my hair stayed straight. I will definitely go back to Larissa to help get my hair «trained» with having natural hair pressed.
I like the fact that I was out of the salon within 2 hrs. I also liked the privacy of the individual suite.
