We’ve made a number of different purchases here over the last several years, but we most often buy clams for clam chowder. We’re never disappointed with the quality & availability of what we’re looking for.

I use Maudie’s regularly for my seafood needs. getting fresh crawfish in tomorrow as a matter of fact. they have always had what I needed. After reading the other review, I cant believe that a seafood shop smells like seafood. Have you been to any of the other meat/seafood markets in the area. Take a big whiff. Meat/seafood markets smell like meat and seafood. Go figure.

Went there looking for some fresh tuna(ahi) and some fresh salmon. What I found there was the same frozen tuna steaks you can get anywhere else but cheaper. The Salmon was supposedly fresh but after I ordered the amount I needed I could tell it wasn’t. the place smelled like old fish. That is not a good sign. THe very small selection was not impressive but I mean granted we don’t live on the beach so I cant really gripe to much about the fish not being pulled fresh off the boat or anything. I did expect fresher. What really upset me was that this place sells fish that is considered not eco-friendly. They had several species that are on the list. That is sad. I mentioned that to the«monger». Her answer is yeah I know, we get a lot of complaints about that but nothing I can do about it. How bout not buy it? The shop was relatively clean but did smell. Prices were high and the fish wasn’t so fresh.
