Seated outside, 4 different tables smoking. Thought that wasn’t allowed? Manager didn’t mind so, we won’t be coming back. We ordered the steamed shrimp special(shrimp, corn, potatoes). Potatoes and and corn was ok but the shrimp was rubbery and awful. Waitress was never around, always had to get someone to find her.

Last time I was not impressed however this time it was perfect and had all you can eat crab legs! Came out steaming hot and great service!

So sad that this is the only Joe’s Crab Shack in NC. The loberster was way over cooked. Tasted rubbery! Service was slow with little respect.

Horrible. Didn’t offer what was on the menu, substituted for cheaper meat and didn’t compensate bill. Server was neglectful. Loud music and cold potatoes. No Bueno.

I made reservations on March 22 for my husband’s bday dinner(March 25). 10 of us drove from Raleigh and found they were closed for repairs. Huge disappointment to all of us. There wasn’t even a recording left on the machine to tell us they were closed. Very upset.

Today I decided to visit Joe’s Crabshack with my husband(who has never been there before) and my two year old. My sons pizza came out and it tasted pretty good and he ate it. Our drinks were out as well, and it was absolutely, incredibly packed. After waiting 15 minutes, we were seated at 5:46pm and didn’t get our food until 45 minutes later. The waitress who was really friendly, apologized for the delay and told us that our tickets had gotten lost and that our food was coming out within the next 3 minutes. I ordered the New Orleans pot and my husband got the Raging Cajun pot. His pot was really good and mine was just pathetic. For $ 21.99 the crawfish were about the size of my pinky finger and had absolutely barely any meat inside. After waiting for the waitress for another 15 minutes, I kindly told her that the pot was very unsatisfying. My son was getting fussy and by then our whole experience and enthusiasm to dine here was out the window. Luckily they were kind enough to refund my pot and I left the waitress a good tip because, overall, she was very nice and tried her best to offer anything. We had already been there for a whole hour and did not want to wait any longer for food. Specially considering the other people waiting outside to be seated. Over all, good ambience and atmosphere.

I have not been to a Joe’s Crab Shack in a very long time so I was excited to go back. My husband and I went during lunch so we got in and was seated quickly. Our server was pleasant and professional. The menu had a lot of good varieties. The only negative I had was that the Steampots looked as if you would get a lot of food but when it came out it was smaller than expected. Overall the food was good just wish you would get more bang for your buck.

Worst service I have ever had. Was told the wait was 25 minutes and I end to follow up at 27. I very NICELY asked if they knew how long the wait will be and was told… I don’t know, I mean whenever we have a table free we will sit you. I said… Well obviously that’s how this works. Once we sat down it took 45 minutes for our food orders which were incorrect and wrong. I ordered a soup because the food was taking so long and the waitress never put the order in until 10 minutes before our food was brought out. The bathrooms were nasty to top things off. NEVEREATINGHEREAGAIN!

I’ve been to a few different Joe’s Crab Shacks, and this one is the worst I’ve been too. Food is fine, but they are super slow. Took over 30 minutes to get our appetizer, and then when the food came items were missing and never came out. Disappointed

Wasn’t pleased with my last visit. My food came out after a long wait. It wasn’t hot and has very small portion sizes. Much smaller than what I was use to getting from joes. It wasn’t even that busy and the service was very slow. Disappointed bc this use to be my favorite restaurant.

I love it here. Some things that you order don’t have 5oo much flavor but that’s how original seafood should taste not overly seasoned. The drinks are good both times we weren’t disappointed. It is very loud in there and sometimes they start to dance and sing but that’s ok. It can get messy but that’s the fun part. The price is OK for the food that you get. I like it.

Not a bad place but I expected better. I ordered The Orleans steampot and my daughters got the All you can eat crab legs. My Crawfish were overcooked and didn’t have that much flavor. My daughters liked the crab legs but the«all you can eat» was a sham! It took over 20 minutes to get another serving twice. We didn’t stick around for another because we didn’t have enough time to wait for another.

Not bad overall. Good drink selection and the crab was as always sweet and delicious. It really depends on what you go there for though the atmosphere wasn’t that great but like I said the crab was awesome.

Absolutely terrible service and atmosphere. The music was so loud that a conversation was impossible. Our server Andy, while well intentioned, was poorly trained. We had to ASK for straws, forks, nutcracker for the lobster. The nutcrackers alone took 5 minutes. He could however drop a check in 30 seconds. With all the surrounding competition I would think that excellent guest service would be a priority.

Great place like always, very busy place, food is good. Prices are fair. The lobster was very good. I would recommend making a reservation as far as the weekend goes. Staff is super energetic. The manager comes & checks up on the guests to see if there are any issues. Overall always meets my expectations.

Unilocaler’s are right…2.5 stars! Not for all«Joe’s», just this one.
Funny smell in there, I realize its seafood, but it just smells funky. I had a relatively disappointing experience… Saturday afternoon, they’ve been open for about 45 minutes, place is empty. I bellied up to the bar and was ignored, then forgotten about, then served(correctly), and forgotten about again. So lonely! Food was average, fish tacos were dry, but plenty of them… My favorite part was how I had to scrounge for my own silverware and salt/pepper shakers. I didn’t feel too bad, because the place was empty. Next time, I’ll go just a bit further for a better experience

It was a nice day out so my husband &2 toddlers we went to try out this place and eat out at the deck because we notice a playground & knew my 4 year old would love it. Our server was Sierra and she was very warm and helpful. She kept my cup full and helped us a lot when it came to ordering because it was our first time there. I hope to come back and have her serve us again. I loved how the manager came out to visit tables to check up on this customers. The food was delicious and portions were huge. The only reason i rated them 4 star was because of the cigarette butts in the sand at the playground. Imo, they should update the playground a bit and get the rubber floors instead. We will be back for the food & great service, not for the playground.

The waitresses was courteous. That’s about the only positive thing to say with my Crab Shack experience. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder that cost $ 6 and was basically in a plate. The portion was skimpy and I’m not a big eater. My companion ordered shrimp and clams that were so saturated in batter it appears the cook had no recollection of what was floating batter and what was seafood. Needless to say, we were served many pieces that were just fried batter. $ 14 for fried batter in the south would be a lucrative business. Insult to injury, my coffee was served to me warm. Clearly this place doesn’t even do it’s specialty(seafood) with any amount of quality and I sure hope they take no pride in their work. If you’re looking to burn some cash on mediocre food, this is your diner!

My my my I love this place there is nothing more that I can say. I always go here to get the steam pots! I’ve only had the Rajin Cajun Steampot and it’s good every time . Although this time I tried a drink the Tie Dye and i mutt say it was a taste of greatness! The crab dip is to die for. We had the classic sampler by the only memorable thing on the sampler was the crab dip. So I’m definitely going back tomorrow to get the crab dip and a Tie Dye. I must say the prices are a little on the expensive side well mainly the steampots and drinks just those items alone will raise the price of the bill in an instant but it will be well worth it.

Portions are small and they messed up 2 of our orders and when one of them came back it was STILLWRONG! The alcoholic beverage Shark Bite was surprisingly good. Don’t order anything not seafood because it’s not good at all.
