Mediocre, at best. The staff was kind, but the food didn’t do it for me. The buffet was underwhelming– greasy & bland. They didn’t even have steamed rice! However, my dinning mate swears the hot & sour soup was on fire(delicious). My favorite item happened to be their rice noodles. This place is not for everyone.

Went with a few friends today for dinner… It’s a nice and clean chinese buffet… Clean bathrooms were a plus, my favorite thing on the buffet is the homemade dumplings… Staff was nice and friendly.

beyond horrible. everything was so salty it was just crazy. i couldn’t even eat one full plate. i was there at prime dinner hour but most of the stuff on the buffet looked like it had been there all day.

Decided to see if my last experience was a fluke. Nope, left again with a MSG headache. It’s like, how much of that stuff are you gonna poor in the food? Fuck my head hurts. It hurts so much I came here to write a review.

Great Chinese food! Lots a variety, buffet or sit down menu. Daily special is a great deal, full plate plus egg roll and 3 crab Rangoon all for under $ 8.

The buffet was average for a decent price. I agree with others that food was not very hot and I would prefer it warmer. They did have a good selection of food and we got to stay for a while without feeling like we had to leave. Another review mentioned that their made to order food is better which I also agree with! If you didn’t like the buffet, give their single entrees a chance! I had beef with broccoli before and because it was a daily special, it came with three crab Rangoon and an egg roll, all for $ 8.95. They even allowed us to order at 8:59pm when they close at 9! All in all, skip the buffet and order takeout.

Just one small complaint: The food overall was kinda cold– more on the warm side than hot. I originally went for some hot steaming egg drop soup, but overall the flavor compensated for that. The raspberry chocolate chip soft serve ice-cream machine was probably the highlight for me. As for the crab legs, even though they’re served cold, they’re so perfectly cooked that they practically walked out the shell~

The food quality of the buffet is not very good. Food«made to order» is much better. Customer Appreciation coupon program is poorly managed and changed mid-year from«Buy 5, Get 1“to «Buy 6, Get 1». Owner would not listen and refused to honor their own coupons! I do NOT recommend this place based on the way they treat their customers.

My wife and I decided to give this place a chance today. We ate at around 11:30 for lunch. While it had only been open thirty minutes the general’s chicken and the sesame pork I had were both cold. The sushi was made of crusty rice and was flavorless. My wife was also unable to find anything she really enjoyed. We may have just caught them on an off day, but I never plan on returning to find out. I would have been much happier eating at the panda express and that’s saying something… Try at your own risk

So I went here with my spouse to eat around lunch time. The food was terrible! General’s chicken was cold, the sushi was disgusting, dense, and old, and the other foods my spouse and I tried were either cold or tasted terrible. The only upside was that the service was good. So was the water luckily. I would not eat here again! Find another place to eat!

Not as great of food as use to be, but the staff and service were perfect. Food cold, old and out of some items.

Very nice buffet place for this price. The waiters/waitresses were all very nice. We traveled here from Dallas, TX area, and I think this was a pleasant surprise for us. Oh, and surprisingly, the bathroom was very clean.

I can see a clear difference between J D China and OK Buffet. The buffet here is nicer and I like the food here better. I’m no gourmet. I do happen to be something of a connoisseur of hot & sour soup, however, and let me be among the first to say that the soup here is good. Also, I appreciate any buffet that offers sushi. My principal complaint, applicable to many Chinese buffets, is that they’re short on good fruit. In the area of dessert, the sweets are OK, but what I really want is pieces of melon that are not carved out of the rind. You know, the soft, flavorful kind, not the substitute hockey puck kind. I do frequent this establishment. I went out to Hunan Manor a few times, and all I can say is that they must be really good, because they’re always closed. I think they’re closed Tuesdays and also every day between 3 and 4, and for some reason that’s when I’m always there. Possibly they see me coming. Can’t say.

Worst Asian buffet I’ve ever been to. Cold food. Egg rolls like cardboard. Flavorless food. And for dessert! A machine pooped out something half frozen into a bowl for me. I will never go back.

Better than average buffet. Very large selection, many non-seafood items. Staff was very friendly as well.

I was traveling in Fayetteville and was reading reviews on my phone( Unilocal) and was wanting ‘Chinese’ food. This was rated favorably by the few people who wrote a review. I and my guest entered the establishment at about 5pm. This restaurant is decorated just about like every other Chinese restaurant. Nothing new there. There is a lot of seating. Some areas are segregated into their own rooms. We were seated immediately as we walked in. The server got our drink order and we were off to find what they had to offer. There are four sections to the buffet. There are chicken, pork, and beef dishes. A sushi section(which I didn’t try), and salad/dessert section(I passed on this as well). Let me just say one thing about buffet food and I hope you restaurant owners are listening: Your food must always be hot! There is nothing more disappointing than sitting down with a dish from the buffet and it be lukewarm. It makes your food taste worse than it probably is. And at 5pm or later there is no excuse for your food not being fresh and ready for the dinner crowd. Now let’s talk about what I ate. The first dish was Jalapeño Chicken. I’ve had this in other buffets. This is delicious. The chicken is quite spicy lot’s of jalapenos and bell pepper with a light sauce tying it all together. If you like spicy try it! The next item was their spring rolls. I don’t know if they make them fresh but they tasted like they were. Unfortunately their egg rolls were probably the worst I’ve had. And that really is disappointing. Cold and flavorless. I drowned it in soy sauce to make up for it. Crab Rangoon. Every Chinese buffet should have these. J.D. China does not disappoint with these. I think these are handmade. They were delicious. If you have good rangoon it almost makes up for a bad experience. Their rangoon is slightly sweet and very creamy. Did I mention they were hot? Another suggestion: Try the General Chicken. It isn’t the breaded and drowned in syrupy sauce variety(which I do like). The flavor was great. Slightly hot and sweet with a light sauce. I had three portions of this that’s how much I liked it. Like other dishes it wasn’t quite the right temperature(coldish). One chicken dish I would avoid was the Konpo Chicken. Not a lot of flavor and also colder than it should have been. Sesame pork? Pass. Lots of color and sesame seeds little flavors to be had in this dish. I would also skip the Bourbon Chicken for much the same reason. Lots of sticky sauce but no flavor I associate with Bourbon Chicken. And the last thing I want to mention is the Egg Foo Yong. It looked delicious. It resembled more of a frittata than any egg foo yong I’ve ever seen. Guess what? Stone cold. And the accompanying gravy wasn’t hot enough to make a difference. I wish I could have tried this dish hot! My guest and I were mostly disappointed with this outing. Did we pick a bad time to go? The restaurant was starting to pick up while we were there so I think our timing was good. I think the restaurants timing was off with replenishing the buffet with hot and fresh food. So buyer beware! If the restaurant isn’t packed then I would pass this one by and try something a little fresher.
