By far the best seafood in Fayetteville. Lots of fresh hush puppies and Cole slaw. Lots of seating, never a wait when I come. This is a traditional southern fish spot. A social meet and greet after church.

You’d be better off buying from the frozen food section at Food Lion. Yuck!!! The food was horrible. The servers were friendly to the patrons but malicious to each other. When speaking to the manager, he was completely incompetent and unable to develop a resolution to my concrrns. He clearly was not a professionally trained manager. That clearly explained the lack of professionalism with the staff and the trash they brought to my table called food. This is the worst restaurant I’ve ever visited and I never intend to return. They get a 1 for existing. But that’s it.

You can tell from the mixed reviews here, that you have to know what you are getting when you go to a place like this. Hudson Bay is a classic southern fish camp. If you don’t know what that means, it’s not just a restaurant. It exists as a social meeting spot for retirees, locals, and church groups. It’s not for seafood connoisseurs because that’s not the point. Hudson Bay is a place where you put your own butter and bacon-bits on your foil-wrapped potato, where they will talk to you for ten minutes about the sweet tea, where they don’t fuss if your kids are messy or your crowd is noisy. Most of the patrons come here every week and have been doing so for years, decades even. Hudson Bay is meant to be good, fast, and cheap with generous portions. If you go in expecting those four things, you will be happy.

The only good thing about this place was the waitress was very attentive and prompt. I had the broiled seafood platter with scallops, flounder, and shrimp. The scallops were the smallest I have ever seen, obviously frozen and overlooked. Very chewy. Flounder was dry and under seasoned. Shrimp were also obviously frozen and terrible. Will not be returning.

I wish I could leave them half a star. The seafood was all obviously frozen. I had the crab legs and«jumbo» fried shrimp. It’s a bit of a misnomer to call the shrimp«jumbo». They were medium at best. The salad was premade and the dressing served on the side in a plastic lidded ramekin. This place is worse than Denny’s for seafood. The décor is mediocre and it obviously caters to a retiree crowd. Prices aren’t bad but the food isn’t worth eating. The free hush puppies are chewy and since they are free the only thing worth eating here. Never going back to this place. Would rather buy frozen seafood at Walmart and cook that! The only redeeming thing about this place was the quick service.

No wait for seating on a Friday night. Appetizers, salads, drinks, and meals delivered promptly and waitress maintained proper attendance of our table and drinks. Very good food and service.

Good seafood. Fair Prices. PLENTY of seating. This is the place to go on Friday or Saturday night when all the other big chain restaurants are swamped or you want a quieter family friendly place. Local grown. Worth a visit.
