Frankly, I am sad that I am writing this review. This place reminds me of a store that I grew up with in Anchorage, AK. We wanted to love this place, but after two bad visits, we are done. First, my wife went in with my daughter and was looking at a pair of shoes (neutral colors with animals on them), sales clerk finally came over and said «those are for boys», (with an off-​putting tone to her voice), My wife was pissed and left. I came back a few weeks later and explained the situation to the manager. I was satisfied that it was a one-​time problem.
We visited recently looking at furniture for our toddler, same guy that ‘assured’ me that, they were not perpetuating sexism, or ‘pink’ and frilly crap is for girls and trucks/​planes are for boys… did not recognize me from my visit with him before, and went on-​and-​on about gender specific furniture and accessories.
I try and be as open-​minded as I can be, but our daughters see enough negative crap in the media, do upscale children’s stores need to perpetuate this crap too?

I’m so happy that Fayetteville has an upscaled children’s store. If you’re looking for a discount, big-​box store, this is NOT it. Its family-​run and has been here forever.
However, I do think that they have some idea that since they are upscaled then they have to charge a lot. I have lived in many cities to include Seattle and San Antonio. I expect to pay high prices in stores of the same caliber in those cities but those cities are actually cheaper than in Fayetteville. The Corolle dolls and Zutano clothes among other brands are about 10% more expensive in Fayetteville.
With that being said, I am glad that this store is here. I like having nicer brands to chose from. Though we are not locals, I still like to support the local economy more than the big-​box stores.
Take note owners! It would be nice if you had a website or a Facebook page so we can know about new products or sales.
