First let me say I am very picky when it comes to ribs. I will have to say Sam’s Smokehouse has some of the best ribs I have had. I ain’t crazy about their sweet sauce, but the ribs make Sam’s worth the drive. We will definitely be coming back.

Perhaps the best bar-b-que we have ever had! Fantastic and friendly service too! The pulled pork practically melted in our mouths, baked beans to die for, potato salad was unbelievable!

Yum! We were passing through Fayette, AL on our way to a wedding and my fiancé announced that he doesn’t like barbecue. I’m acknowledging that he’s crazy and I am crazy for marrying him but I told him we needed some Alabama barbecue anyways and he could order chicken fingers. We stopped at Sam’s and ordered a rib plate and a barbecue sandwich. The man ate all of his ribs in about two minutes and then started eyeing my sandwich. Sam’s has converted my Yankee future husband! Great food, large portions. A great pitstop for us. I doubt we’ll ever be back to Fayette but we sure did have a nice meal while we were there.

Excellent ribs and even better smoked wings – some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The meat falls right off the bone. Also, don’t miss the rich, creamy potato salad with bits of smoked chicken in it. The dining area is about as no-frills as it gets, and they sometimes run out of their most popular items at peak hours. It’s definitely worth a trip, but you might want to call to make sure they’ve still got some left.
