La Roma Pizza & Restaurant

Don’t go to this place. My husband an I were in there last night. First off there were a bunch of teens standing around behind the counter doing nothing but talking and texting. Youd think it was a place to hang out for them rather than their jobs. Secondly a guy takes our order then disappears into the back on us. We waited patiently anyway then noticed a person that ordered AFTER us got his food and we were still waiting for ours. My husband decided to remind a girl behind the counter very nicely that the guy who took out order awhile ago wasn’t there and that we hope hadn’t forgot our food in the oven. Some other angry older guy that makes pizza in the back then rudely started throwing out order into a box. We got home and our pizza was ice cold. They hadn’t even warmed it for us. If you make a mistake, you make a mistake — just admit to it and then correct it… but u shouldn’t let a customer go away with food that had not even been warmed up all because u don’t want to look like a fool. Just say the other dude that walked away messed up on us and fix the problem –that’s all! I work in customer service and would never be allowed to treat people that way. The owner of this place should really take a hard look at the quality of customer service coming out of that place. No one cares. No one pays attention. My husband an I eat pizza 3 times a week — sorry la roma, u just lost our business. We will go down the street to Paulys pizza from now on where both the service and the pizza are great! The pizza is pretty good here. I’m new to the area from Queens/​Brooklyn and looking for a good pizza spot. No complaints at all. Clean and friendly service. I personally like my pizza cheesy and doughy so this place is good in my book. Will be coming back.

I went in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch with the family, I ordered the Italian hero that was $ 8.50 plus an extra $ 1 for peppers. When it came out there was very little meat in it, when I asked the guy behind the counter if this was normal, he gave me an attitude and said yes. Annoyed, I went back to the table, I then decided I wanted my money back and brought it back to the counter, apparently I was dealing with the owner and he took much offense that I wanted to return it and said I had touched it already. I threw a couple f-​bombs his way kept the sandwich and will never ever go back there again. It’s only getting 1 star because you have to give it something.

Go here all the time for pizza a large selection of different pizzas, all appropriately priced.

How lucky are we that this place is 2 blocks from our home! My husband’s favorite Grandma pizza, and that’s coming from someone originally from Brooklyn. All their pasta and casserole dishes are fabulous, the Chicken Bruschetta is crazy good. We get delivery at least once a week and it’s always delivered before they say it will. We did our Christmas catering with them this year and everyone raved about the food.

Pizza is great. Best in the area.

We order pizza and heroes from here all the time. The food is always really good and the staff is very friendly. Never been disappointed.

you must eat here, if you are looking for plain slices, shop else where. this place is great for people who love speciality slices, like buffalo, bbq, chicken parm, chicken marsala, penne, salad, eggplant, white slice, tomato and garlic slice (amazing) and the most amazing caesar salad i have ever eaten in my entire life! sometimes i dont even get the dressing because gus cooks it so well… you must check it out ! im actually having it for lunch today

If it was a little bit closer to where I lived it would be our go-​to pizza spot. Not sure about the other reviewers but I lived on LI my entire life and worked in Pizza places from the ages of 15 — 21. I feel pretty qualified to rate a slice of pizza.
This is one of my favorite pizza places in the area. They have a pretty good variety of special slices. If you like Marsala the marsala slices here are excellent.
Before I tried to start eating better we would go here just about every week for rice balls and personal pizzas. The personal pizzas can be made with any of the toppings on the menu. This is great because the pizza is made fresh for you and probably costs less than say two slices of their chicken parm pie. The rice balls are also made to order which is great because most places keep them in the display cases for over a week.
The place is always clean and the staff is very friendly.

F.Y.I: When someone mentions NY, what type of food crosses your mind first? Duuuuuuh… PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA!!! Being in NY for the first time, I had high expectations… but what happens when you expect things, you usually are left disappointed :(
I don’t know of too many pizza spots but my roommate who’s lived here for years recommended La Roma pizza. I searched online and could not find a menu of this place anywhere (may want to work on that ASAP La Roma). I called to place a delivery order and they only had one size but that wasn’t a surprise since it was a NY style pizza. I ordered a mushroom and pepperoni pizza…
The pizza arrived during the time it was supposed to so La Roma was off to a good start! The total was different than the one given to me on the phone… STRIKE ONE! Being so excited to eat pizza, I opened the box and saw the mushrooms didn’t look like fresh mushrooms and looked like canned mushrooms… STRIKE 2. The pizza was not good NY pizza… STRIKE 3! Let’s be obvi this place does not do NY pizza justice!

Fantastic food. Pizza is very good and chicken Parma and penne ala vodka is great. The problem the service. Never get delivery, always pick up. I would of given this 4 stars if not for the delivery
