By far my favorite place for sushi on Long Island. Formerly the«china tea house of Centereach» the sushi and sushi I are amazing. The new location is bigger and adds a modern style. Love the sushi special for 2. They greet you like family and my son loves the fish in the fish tank. They also do takeout and it blows away the Chinese food restaurants that are closer to my house.

Had sushi and really wasn’t very good. It’s conveniently right next to our house, but don’t think we’ll ever go again.

Super Greasy! Went once based on a friend’s recommendation, but will not go back. My husband was up all night with a stomach ache. You could see the grease on the plates. The wonton soup was different, but good. Eggrolls ok. Defintely nothing to write home about. Won’t go back.

We had a wonderful Mothers Day gathering with mom who is 91 and couldn’t travel so we celebrated her, here close to home. They accepted reservations for 8 and the food was great and the service wonderful. She enjoyed her day with the kind people at J & C

I was really in the mood for beef teriyaki. This did not hit the spot. The beef was dry and the teriyaki was like water. It was also very expensive. $ 17 for my meal. I’ve lived in farmingville for 12 years, had never tried this place. I will not be going back.

I agree with Aaron C. J&C 68 used to be a great take-out spot for me, and initially, I was surprised by the quality and awesomeness of their specialty rolls. But last time I dined in(March of 2011), I was underwhelmed by the food and service. I’ll keep them on the radar and write an update if anything warrants further.

I started with the hot & sour soup, haven’t had soup that good in years. I had the spicy basil shrimp, medium and it had a great flavor. My husband had a California roll, egg roll and chicken and broccoli. He said it was all very good. The portions were a good size, I brought more than half of mine home. We will definitely be going back.

When J&C first opened(replacing the outgoing Tim Seng), their food was fantastic. Fresh ingredients, lots of flavor, amazing stuff. Much better than any chinese restaurants in the area. Over the last few months though, there has been a steady decline in the quality of the food. The fried rice isn’t as flavorful, the vegetables aren’t as fresh, and the chicken and beef are of lower quality. The fried wontons used to be airy and light and crispy and now they’re the regular thick crunchy ones you get at any chinese take-out. I don’t know what happened, but I wish they would go back to what they were doing when they first opened.

I definitely wouldn’t say this is the«best» Chinese food on Long Island. I found it to be average, having said that, I believe it’s a little over priced. I haven’t tried anything from the Japanese side of the menu so I can’t comment on the sushi. I had the wonton soup– broth was tasty and I liked how thin the wontons were, which made me think that the fried wontons are probably really good. But in the soup they were over cooked which made them extremely mushy. I also had an egg roll and some pork fried rice. Nothing really memorable about either. The only thing that I really liked was the Spicy Basil Chicken which left me wishing that the Thai side of the menu was bigger. If you’re in that area, you’re better off going to ToFu(in my opinion the food is much better… and less expensive)
