Went to check this place out with my boyfriend after hearing about it at one of the local street fairs. Upon arrival we were told it was going to be a half hour wait, but was then quickly seated after expressing the restaurant being empty. The atmosphere was on point for a vintage wine bar and our waitress was very welcoming. We were excited to try the tapas offered so ordered a bunch to go along with our wine. The wine and selection were excellent, but the food legitimately looked and tasted as if the cook went to Costco and bought premade frozen appetizers. Most of the dishes were still cold as well, not to mention overpriced. The sauces that came with it were better than the food. We quickly finished our wine and went down the street to another bar for dessert. Needless to say would probably only go back for drinks or a quick glass of wine with gfs on a weekday. Not somewhere to go on a Saturday night.

I have been to this location twice. The first was on a Friday night in the winter. I came with three friends, and we sat at a high top table. I liked the tapas menu and the service was good. I’ve been meaning to come back again. I had convinced my friend to drive the 45 minutes to Vintage on a Thursday night for happy hour. I happy hour menu was promising but unfortunately that’s all it was. The service is the real problem here. Our bartender(Matt? I can’t remember his name) fancied himself a comedian. Unfortunately, his jokes are at the expense of his customers. He started off with a few at my expense. I couldn’t tell if he hated his job/customers or the surly routine was an act. In any case, I rolled with it because I can take a joke. Plus it seemed like he was making jokes with the other customers as well. Something about having a blind sister? Anyway, I have a severe shellfish allergy. After an episode where there was unannounced crab in spinach dip, I tell every server about my allergy. I figure it’s better than going into anaphylactic shock. To my allergy proclamation, the Vintage bartender says«so extra shrimp and crab.» Unfortunately, it’s not the first time someone has made that joke. While it’s not funny, I went along with it. The guy was handling my food and drinks. Our food arrived and honestly, it wasn’t as good as I remembered it being. The spinach dip was greasy. The pizza tasted like Elio’s(which I don’t mind) and the meatballs were just okay. The bartender came over and asked how everything was. I told him good– the food was not inedible. And to be frank, everyone has different taste. The bartender replied«so you’re enjoying the extra shrimp? Good.» At that point, I was pissed and done eating. Maybe it was a joke, but the delivery felt like he was messing with me. Enough to contaminate the food? I couldn’t tell, but I couldn’t afford to take the risk. I asked for the check and the bartender asked me if everything was okay. I told him I did not appreciate his jokes about my allergy. He apologized but barely. Like I was the one overreacting. I suppose when you’ve had a few allergic reactions, you don’t tend to find jokes about them funny. We got up to leave and the manager saw we were upset. He asked if everything was okay. I explained the situation, and he did want to make it right. The manager seemed genuinely annoyed at the situation. With that said, I refused his offer. I’ll never be back, and I wasn’t complaining to «get something». I was legitimately worried about my health. I was so furious that the bartender had behaved that way that he had. It was super unprofessional: from the jokes to talking trash about the other customers. The whole scene was uncomfortable at best. I guess the takeaway here is to avoid the bar and maybe the restaurant if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. Side note: we headed to another local establishment. I informed the server about my allergy. She said«thanks for telling me, I’ll let the kitchen know.» It’s that simple.

Went for their happy hour and was extremely impressed! The bartender was very friendly and gave us great recommendations for what to drink /eat. We had the Parmesan fries, lobster sliders and lobster mac & cheese(the latter 2 not part of the happy hour special) and all were fantastic! We will be definitely going back especially to tryout their bottomless brunch on Saturdays & Sundays! Highly recommended!

This wine bar is a great addition to the area! The newly revamped menu is definitely worth checking out and the waitress Joanna is phenomenal! I’ve been here many times and she is always very friendly and knowledgable and so far all of her recommendations have been great! I especially love the stuffed blue cheese chicken meatballs, Sicilian egg rolls and the pizzas and for dessert I highly recommend the salted caramel tartufo! It’s outrageous! If you go in for happy hour there’s a bunch of options for food and drinks at a discounted price and the bartender Matt is also very entertaining and friendly! I can’t wait to go back!

Went here for brunch with my boyfriend on a Saturday. Very cute place, love the ambiance. We had a Groupon for brunch and bottomless mimosas. Good drinks and the staff was really nice. It wasn’t crowded when we got here, food took a little while to come out and service was a little slow with the refills. My eggs and French toast were a little cold :(but my hashbrowns were perfect. Overall, mixed feelings but maybe we’ll come back and try their lunch/dinner menu.

Vintage Wine bar has definitely stepped up their game. They revamped their menu adding a great new selection of wines and tapas. The décor inside is cozy and sophisticated. Great for a date night, girls night or happy hour during the week. Definitely check this place out, a great new addition to Main Street in Farmingdale!

This was our second visit here and will definitely be back! The first time we came the owner Jeff came back and chatted with us about his research and visit for the restaurant, which was nice. The cheese steak rolls is our favorite dish by far! After our dinner we got the«rainbow cookie» drink, which was a perfect cap to our night. We will def be returning!

The wine selection is terrible. If you are new to wine maybe this place would be for you. However if you are familiar with wine, the wine list is very disappointing. If wine bar is in the title there should be more of a selection and options for better quality wines.

Best new addition to Main Street! Came here last night with my boyfriend and we will definitely be coming back! We ordered a few items off the tapas me u to share, and each one was more delicious then the last! We had the lobster sliders with avocado. Yum! The lobster meat was fresh and the rolls were lightly toasted to perfection. Next came out the buffalo meatballs stuffed with blue cheese that melted in your mouth and the cheesesteak sandwiches that had this Amazing dipping sauce. Then we ordered the Blanca pizza with goat cheese. It was delicious!!! For dessert we ordered the gelato cookie sandwiches. Their hazelnut gelato is to die for. They also make a good Irish coffee and the service was good. I will be telling everyone I know about this place!!!

Always see this place when shopping at the Runners edge but never got a chance to stop in until last night. This place is a nice addition to Main st. Farmingdale a street that seems to be trying to attract a more upscale and trendy customer. The décor is very cozy and what I really liked was that they had live music. I think the guys name was Russell and he could really play those tunes. The food was very good as was the service. A nice night out and hope to visit again soon.

Owner needs to be more attentive to what people have to say about his restaurant. Spend more time managing the restaurant than Unilocal reviews.

Went for first time last Friday night for a friend’s birthday. We got there around 5pm– a few people there but all the tables were empty with reserved signs on them so we sat at the bar almost the entire night. Sometimes service was a little slow since there was only one bartender. The food was PHENOMENAL!!! We were a group of 6 so we ordered a lot of the apps. Everything really was delicious. Later we wanted dessert and we asked Jeff(manager or owner?) if we could move to a table. He looked into it and got us a table. Desserts and coffee also totally awesome. I went back and forth between giving 4 or 5 stars. 4 because service was slow at times but I went with 5 because I’ll give the benefit of the doubt that maybe they were short handed. Also, on our way out Jeff gave me a VIP card for good discounts. Will definitely come back!

I’ve been seeing this place blowing up on the Unilocal main page for a while now so I figured that I would give it a whirl for our annual Galentine’s Day. I called an placed a reservation a few days beforhand just to make sure that they had room for us. Upon arriving I realized that the location used to be a seedy wild west bar that I was dragged to a few times in the past. I’m glad this adorable little tapas restaurant took it’s place; it helps Main Street Farmingdale keep it’s classy vibe. I noticed a 23 and up age restriction at the front door, looks like my friends and I just made it(we’re all 24). The restaurant had a very warm interior with chandeliers and wood covered walls with a soft candlelit glow. The atmosphere was very cozy and welcoming. The staff was also very welcoming and attentive. The four of us decided to split a bottle of Strev Moscato to start, and boy was it sweet. I couldn’t get it down fast enough. We then proceeded ordered a bunch of tapas to share. The majority of them came in portions enough for four people to taste, so keep that in mind when ordering; if you have more than four people and everyone wants to try a bit order two plates. The Sicilian egg rolls were really good; the broccoli rabe inside was perfectly sauteed. The buffalo blue cheese chicken meat balls were on the hot side but still yummy. The parm fries were a great compliment to the rest of the food we ordered. I did not have a bite of the lobster mac and cheese but my friends said it could have been better if they used more cheese. We then ordered the margherita pizza to finish off our meal, which was served on a wooden pizza peel. We were all very full after finishing all the food mentioned above but we decided to push on for dessert. We all split the salted caramel gelato tartufo and it was a sweet way to end our fun meal. When it came to the check we were shocked as to how affordable it was. We placed our orders without looking at any prices and we were pleasantly surprised when we split the bill. I will 100% be back for another girls night, or maybe a date.

Vintage is a great spot for Monday Funday — half off wine and beer flights! I was a little disappointed with the size of the glasses for the flights, but I believe the size they offer is average(I was spoiled as my first wine tasting was in NYC and they were extremely generous with their pours). They have a large wine selection, but not as big of a beer selection. It’s perfect for a girls night out or a double date. We ordered a flatbread pizza to go with our drinks and it was the perfect size to snack on.

Let’s just say as much as I needed this place tonight, Farmingdale needed it even more. A+ owner, A+ staff, A+ drinks. Every detail has been covered at this spot, and they can only go up from here. If Unilocal has taught you nothing, it’s to take negative reviews with a grain of salt. People are very tough behind a computer. I am actually sitting at the bar right now, and think Vintage is going to be a force to be reckoned with in Farmingdale for years to come. Peace and love

The only reason I am giving this 1 star is because the Dirt Wolf keg was kicked and they replaced it so my husband could enjoy it and the blonde bartender was very nice and chose great wines for us.(Monday night tasting flights are half price– i think $ 8 per flight) We were one of two tables seated on the particular Monday night we visited this place. The food is a whole other story. We ordered the rice balls $ 7.95(sauce was cold), parmesan fries $ 4.95(NOT fresh parmesan, they used the dried shaker kind), stuffed bleu cheese chicken meatballs $ 7.95(good!), ribs $ 10.95(cooked well, basic bottled bbq sauce), cheese steak rolls $ 8.50(like the ones you’d get from the rollers at 7 – 11 served with more of a gravy sauce), Mediterranean sliders $ 8.95(waitress told us it was all beef when we asked if it’s lamb or beef. Burgers were definitely unseasoned beef sliders, came with a cream cheese type spread which was ok but definitely not tatziki sauce as advertised), lobster sliders $ 9.95(LOADED with mayonnaise and celery with a few bits of lobster), and lastly, lobster mac & cheese $ 10.95(orichetti with a velveeta/spray can cheese type sauce with artificial lobster meat and no panchetta). Now that I have explained in detail how each food item was, let me discuss the service. Our waitress was nice. She answered questions as we asked. She did forget one guest’s drink– he had to go up to the bar to get it(no biggie). We also waited quite long for our check, and again for our payment to be taken after that. The cook came out towards the end of the meal with confidence to see how we enjoyed everything. We asked if the lobster mac & cheese had artificial lobster meat and he initially said no, but after us basically telling him that we are not complete idiots and know the difference and it’s deceptive to advertise otherwise, he quietly admitted that it was but he cannot say anything to to the boss.(Not cool at all!!) Luckily for us, the owner was in and got word that we were unhappy with(at the very least) that mac &cheese dish. He came over and proudly told us he removed it from the bill. He asked how everything else was and we began to give honest feedback as usual if asked. Every comment we had he argued with. He had the balls to tell us that they use a full ounce of real lobster meat in their mac & cheese, and that lobster is 34 dollars a pound(LOL). He said that the slider had lamb in it along with the beef and seasonings. I am assuming he does not eat there. The owner argued that the waitress was wrong when she answered our questions, and that the cook was wrong as well. He argued that the rude girl who brought us water was new and wasn’t sure what would be crossing the line with customers(saying you’re welcome or no problem or my pleasure when a customer simply says THANKYOU is NEVER crossing the line) Long Island has so many tapas restaurants, wine bars, and everything else in between. Most of them have wonderful owners, honest menus with ingredients to match. This is not one of those places. I will never reccomend this place to anyone.

I agree with all the other reviews. Farmingdale truly needed this! Overall a good experience. One thing that I wanted to mention was that I came in on an extremely busy Friday night. However, they fit us in without a reservation which I really appreciate. The most important thing I want to comment on is our waitress, Samantha. She was super nice and friendly. She was knowledgable about the menu, which is something that is very important to me. She was also very attentive. I have not had such a genuinely kind and sweet waitress in a very long time. There are many reasons for me to come back here, but Samantha is my reason alone. Our wine came out prompt. We got a bottle of the bodega norton Chardonnay, it was amazing. We had the Sicilian egg rolls, that our waitress recommended to us. They were excellent, and I don’t typically like sausage. Then we had the margarita pizza and the mozzerella caprese, which were good but not excellent. The food did take a little while but I understand that they are a new restaurant probably still working out kinks. The prices are very good here, under $ 10 a plate. They are exactly what a tapas restaurant should be. This restaurant is an excellent value and great quality. This is my new spot! I will definitely be coming back here soon.

As soon as we saw that a «wine bar» was coming to Farmingdale, my wife and I thought, «Farmingdale is now complete.» Sadly, it is far from that, despite a cozy décor. Let’s get right to it. We showed up for happy hour and received two really lousy pours of Pinot Grigio. The salumi plate seemed harmless but I gotta tell ya that it looked like they bought one of those cheap meat & cheese dishes from ShopRite and served it. Weird slices of cheese and cold cuts that were sloppily rolled up. This was an amateurishly presented dish. Figuring we’d get around the bad wine pours, we ordered two cocktails — one came with whiskey, peach schnapps and sour mix, the other was just vodka on the rocks(can’t mess that up). However, you couldn’t taste the alcohol in the whiskey drink! The bartender was nice enough to add a little more into my glass, but it was so watery and peach schnapps-ish that it just made me kinda sad. For a new place on a the strip, I would’ve hoped they would at least know how to make a strong drink so that you’d be too drunk to notice how bad the food was. If I had to say one complimentary thing, it would be about their ribs. If you’re looking for delicious ribs(get the sauce on the side and you’ll see that you don’t even need it) and don’t mind going across to Croxleys or one of the other local watering holes for drinks, then check these out for sure — they’re really good. Just don’t order anything else on the menu. We got calamari that was soaked in sweet sauce and blue cheese meatballs that were underwhelming to say the least. Yeah, they have a few other things that I was curious about trying, but what I ordered was so flavorless and disappointing, that I really wouldn’t go back to give them a shot. If I get a craving for ribs, I might just stumble in there but just long enough to lick my fingers clean, pay the tab and head over to Croxleys or Dark Horse where you can order a real drink served by a bartender who knows how to pour it.
