Beware beware. Don’t trust the website — In stock can mean out of stock for months. This is the type of operation that gives small businesses a bad name. I ordered outdoor lights from this company because based on their website, the item was in stock(and out of stock everywhere else). After my order confirmation, I didn’t receive any update for at least a week before I started to get a bad feeling about the whole thing and gave them a call requesting an update. The after-hours operator said she would leave a message and someone would call me back. It took several more calls from me before I got a phone call saying the items I purchased would be out of stock for months. I’m not sure when Bowery Lighting planned to tell me that. Probably would not have said a thing if I hadn’t hassled them. I asked to cancel my order. It took several phone calls and emails over a period of at least one week before they finally refunded my money. The whole ordeal was just such a waste of time and effort.

WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICE! They forgot my order, never called me back, never sent an update my order until I had to call, were horribly unsympathetic and were incredibly rude and unprofessional. Please don’t support this company, you’ll never receive your order anyway. #regret Owner is lying. They acknowledged they«FORGOT» to ship my order when I called after 3 weeks of no shipping info sent, said they’d call me back with details and did not. I called back a week later, got another rude woman who said she’d send my message along to someone in the company who handles these issues. Magically, within minutes, I get an order saying my order shipped. I then called back asking why I wasn’t contacted before it shipped, like I was told I would be so I could cancel my order. The manager got horribly defensive, refused to listen to me, started saying things that weren’t true that I had said, at which point I said«the customer service of this company is shit.» So yes, I cursed. At the manager? No. At the customer service of this company? Fuck yeah. Never, should a customer feel attacked on the phone when the company forgot to send her order, did not return her call, and had to take the time to call them back to get details. Look at the history of the company’s response to their reviews; they’ve attacked each customer.

Update to my previous review. I received the light and it’s just as I expected it to look from the photos. The issue with my cc that didn’t go thru wasn’t told to me on the morning I placed the order. It was only told the next day. I immediately gave a new cc(i didn’t realize my other card was canceled). And wanted to order expedited for 2 day shipping. This was on a Thursday, so if it was processed for 2 day I would have reviewed it Monday or Tuesday at the latest. The manf of the light had issue as well which caused the delay. Regardless, I now have the light and am happy with the product.
