Ariston’s Deli Greek Cuisine

Unbelievably welcoming service as we were visiting for a lacrosse tournament and found this though Unilocal!The chicken quesadilla, gyro and macaroni salad were fresh and delicious. We would return any chance we get!

I am sorry to say, but this place is far from what it was 2 years ago. New owners took over and this place went down the drain. Sorry for the bad review but I was embarrassed after I brought my friend from out of town here. I was telling him this place was the best gyro around and we were so disappointed. We dined in and they brought the wrong food out twice. Then once the lamb gyro came out it looked and tasted burned left over from a grill. I would not recommend this place.

I couldn’t even order form this place because they couldn’t understand where I needed them to deliver to. I kept giving the address and the woman kept repeating a completely different address.

Love their food! Their lemon potatoes are perfect ! I have got their gyros as well and they’re amazing. I recommend calling ahead and picking it up.

We ordered food for delivery tonight, best decision ever! The guy on the phone was super nice and when they arrived we could NOT believe how much food we had! There were 4 of us so we all ordered a dish (we totally could have shared 2 dishes with plenty to spare!). They also gave us a free order of rice balls (amazing!!!) and a free baklava. With each of our orders, it came with a soup AND salad, pita and dessert! Everyone enjoyed their meals including chicken mediterranean, gyro platter, chicken souvlaki, and ariston’s special. yum! yum! yum!!! We will DEFINITELY be ordering from there again. It was also pretty fast for delivery (about 35 – 40 mins prime time on a Friday, not bad).
The only down side was their soup. We did not care for it, especially the split pea which was very watery.

I stopped by and ordered a Chicken Gyro this is the second place of recent where they give you strips of grilled up chicken product absolutely garbage. Next shredded Ice berg lettuce and onions not even a purple onion and the crappiest tomato you could bet in the middle of summer, Friendly staff not recommended for a chicken gyro I could see the traditional l pre made cone in the back for the lamb gyro.

not sure what people are raving about — i’ve been here twice, and it’s been a failure both times
trip one: easy enough at first: ordered my food from a very friendly guy at the counter, waited 10 minutes or so & took it home… unfortunately, it was some of the crappier gyro i’ve ever encountered, not impressed one bit
trip two: decided to give them another shot, thought perhaps they just had an off day the last time… no food ordered this time, the first two things i asked for i was told they don’t have (stuffed mushrooms? seriously?), and the third the guy decided he had to go in the back to see if they could make it, i get things might not always be full steam ahead at 5:30pm, but when you advertise that you serve breakfast, lunch and dinner you really should be able to provide more than a menu — elected to walk out, won’t be returning

Food was ok. The portions were not huge. The lemon soup was horrible. The gyro sandwich was good but that’s about it.

Great food, but on several occasions they don’t feel like answering the phone when we call to place an order. Not wasting my time anymore with that joke of a business.

I would highly recommend this place for a nice lunch. The staff is very attentive and the food is reasonably priced. I come here regularly and the gyros are a great choice. If you are looking for an affordable place to eat and great service this is the place. I rarely give 5 star reviews but this is one of my favorite and they deserve it…

We recently moved to the area and have been looking for great Greek food. We found Greek food at Ariston’s, but not great Greek food. I’d say it’s mediocre. In a pinch it’s fine, but I’m still looking for a better falafel.

LOVE this place! Friendly staff, good prices and fantastic food! Drove past this place many times until one day my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try. Now we are hooked!!! $ 7.50 for the gyro lunch special (nice big portions, too! comes with fries or rice and a can of soda). Absolutely love it here!

Was craving Greek food one night and after reading the reviews decided to give this place a try. I am SO GLAD I did, everything was absolutely delicious!
I got a falafel sandwich, a lamb gyro for my boyfriend, and a side of hummus all to-​go.
My bf and I raved about our meals with each bite. My falafel sandwich was simple and excellent, his gyro was even better (and HUGE! Definitely have a stack of napkins handy). We also could not get enough of the yogurt sauce — so fresh!
I did wait a little longer than expected for take-​out, but I was informed they were making a fresh batch of hummus for me, and it plus the sandwiches were well worth the wait. The girls behind the counter were friendly and offered great suggestions for next time, and there will definitely be a next time. Yum!

To the guy with 1 star because it wasn’t a sit down restaurant… REALLY… the name of the place is Aristons DELI… Its a DELI!

Great lunch specials. Big portions. Fresh salad. Friendly staff. Loved the Gyro!

On a recent visit prompted by the stellar reviews, we were sadly disappointed that none of the reviews had mentioned that this is a takeout Greek with a couple of tables up front by the window… not a sit down restaurant. Not having tried the food I am not addressing it. This is important on a Saturday night when you have driven a distance to spend time dining.

My family stumbled upon Ariston’s after a long day at Adventureland. We ordered 2 Chicken Soulvaki’s and a Giro. The portions were HUGE, and the food was FRESH & surprisingly DELICIOUS; so delicious my 7 year old enthusiastically ate all of his food without a single complaint.
We ate there a couple days later and the food was great again! We also had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners who enthusiastically shared with us his passion for great food.
There is no doubt we will be making the trip from Manhattan to Ariston’s again and again. And as I write this review my son just asked if we could «eat at the Greek Deli again». Go Ariston!

Thank you Ariston’s! Finally a fantastic Falafel! I have been searching high and low for years in hopes of finding a decent Falafel, and Ariston’s is the place to go. I had been driving down Rt. 109 when I saw a brightly lit blue and white striped awning … I knew instantly it was Greek! Out of curiosity, I wandered in for a late night visit. The owner was friendly and very enthusiastic! Loved him immediately…
He had only been open for two days before my visit so he did not have a credit card machine yet. I just figured I’ll take a menu and come back later in the week. The owner said it was no problem that I didn’t have any cash, he said to come back in a few days and pay him then. I couldn’t believe it! I kept saying no, no, I can’t let you do that but he talked me into it.
The food was absolutely delightful! Fresh ingredients, Plentiful servings, and most of all … yes … A FALAFEL THAT WAS OUTSTANDING! I have tried every greek place I pass in hopes of a good Falafel. The sad part is that not every greek place has them on the menu. Ariston’s was outstanding! Not over-​seasoned, not greasy, and most of all, FRESH!!!
Not only did the owner trust me to pay him later, he thanked me for coming in and giving him a try! Since then, I have been back several times.
One night I wandered in for a Falafel and a Gyro to go, it was late… 9pm and they were still ready to cook for me! Love it! As I was waiting for them to cook my order (yes, they cook to order, nothing laying around there and no microwaves)… a party of 7 came in and placed a huge order, then another 2 people wandered in thanking God Ariston’s was open, then 2 more people came in… The owner looked at me and said I bring him good luck and he gave me complimentary dessert! Are you kidding me??? How awesome is this man?
The Falafel, Souvlaki, Gyro’s … they’re all outstanding! Ariston’s is located next to Bella Napoli in Farmingdale so next time you’re out that way, make it a point to stop in! You will not be disappointed. :)
