Dr. Michael Richie has performed thousands of surgeries and has become known for his skill as a physician, innovative techniques and exceptional care for patients.

Eye surgeries are among the most commonly performed and successful surgical procedures in the world. Most surgeries do not even require an overnight stay or hospital visit, but can be performed at the Crossroads Surgery Center in Faribault.

In addition to cataract surgery, we also perform eyelid surgery and YAG laser procedures.

Dr. Michael Richie is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special interest in laser vision correction (LASIK and PRK) and cataract surgery, especially refractive cataract surgery using high technology multifocal and toric lens implants.

He incorporates his years of LASIK experience into his cataract surgery, creating personalized advanced surgical plans unique to each individual patient for correcting astigmatism, dealing with reading, and honing visual outcomes.

After graduating from St John’s University, Dr. Richie received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, followed by an Internship at Hennepin County Medical Center and a Residency in Ophthalmology at the Eye Institute, The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
