The Würst Bier Hall is definitely worth a visit if you like good beer and sausages. And, who doesn’t. This place is unpretentious — it’s a large bar that serves food and plays 8 year old music videos. What makes this special is the beer and food selections. If you’ve read any of my reviews, you can probably pick up that I’m a wine and mixed drink guy. But, I do drink a dark ale upon occasion(see my review for Le Trappiste in San Francisco). I ordered a St. Bernardus Abt 12 — A Belgium Abbey Ale. Definitely worth the stop for this alone. And, as the name implies, the Würst has a large selection of beers on tap so you should find something you like. My dad took us to the Bohemian Café in South Omaha when I was a child. I’ve been to maybe two or three other German restaurants in the 45 years since. Not a fan or an expert, so Unilocaler beware… I ordered the Knoephla Soup and Jäger Schnitzel for dinner and Kuchen(warmed) with ice cream for desert and enjoyed them all.(I won’t go into detail of each since they’re described on the menu and reviews.) Next time in Fargo, I plan to try their sausage plates.

I love this place!!! The pretzels are so delicious that I salivate just thinking about them! That isn’t the only thing that is good on the menu either! There meats are awesome and the bacon flight was yummy! I really really really like their food! Maybe even more than I like their beer but their beer is also really delicious! I picked a flight and sampled several of the beers they had. The waiter was super helpful in telling me about the different options and then giving me even more details after they arrived. I love hearing about and learning more about beers so this was welcomed! I also really like their long tables for seating. We started out with three of us, then four, then six and then eight. It was perfect because our table could grow without us having to move. But those pretzels oh the pretzels! I can’t wait until I’m in Fargo again and I get to eat those pretzels!

Favorite place on my week long trip to Fargo. I only wish that I had found this place sooner. But why not save the best for last. If you’re traveling to Fargo, don’t make my mistake — start here. If you’re looking for a friendly place to wind down and warm up, this is a one stop shop. Staff is super friendly and knowledgable of their extensive beer menu(Brooke was my bartender — and she was awesome). This will be my first stop on my next visit.

I like it here. Hipsters all over, but still good. The place reminds me of that meme on Facebook that says«if you have a beard but can’t change a tire, shave your beard». Most dudes in here should shave, just saying.

I’ve been here a few times now, and was never disappointed. If you love beer and you love food, particularly sausage, bacon, or pretzels, then this is your place. I love the atmosphere, and I can bring my family in for lunch, which I love(kids are under 21). We always order pretzels and pierogi for starters– highly recommended! Casual, and the price is right.

Fargo really does have a good restaurant and bar scene… and this relatively recent addition is definitely worth checking out. I was in town for work, and arrived here at an «off» hour but was still greeted promptly and pleasantly and enjoyed a wonderful late lunch. Great beer selection, and unusual but delicious food options. Tip: let your server create a sausage plate for you… be open to trying something new & different, and I pretty much guarantee you will not be disappointed. Check it out!

I frequent Würst Bier Hall for the sweet potato fries, but the other amazing food options, beer selections, and fun atmosphere keep my coming back. If you go with a group, you HAVE to try a boot. Ask your server for a recommendation for a good beer! They’re all very helpful. This place is great for any occasion. Great music too!

I would definitely have to say this is a must go too if you are in the Fargo area, hands down the best selection of German beers on tap and some mind blowing food. Walking in the front door you are hit with this amazing smell of food. The restaurant is very modern, bright colors on walls, lighting is pretty cool. I love the fact they have a huge bar with a lot of seating. Staff is definitely friendly and make you feel welcomed. The beer on tap list is two pages front and back and the bartenders always give great suggestions. My favorite beers I had was Hopothermia, Spaten Optimator, Hefe Weizen Dunkel and Hoffbräu München Dunkel. We ordered a few different things off the food menu and they were awesome. My favorites were Bavarian Pretzel with haus beer cheese dip, bratwurst/polish sausage with kraut and mustard, würst poutine is awesome deep fried cheese curds and smothered with a mushroom gravy YUM!!! When I am back in Fargo this will be the first place I visit. Definitely will recommend this place to friends. You won’t be disappointed.

Great food and beer selection! The Jaeger Schnitzel is nearly as good as my Grandmas! It’s a great space to meet up with friends for a beer(or several) and a snack or a meal!

So someone says to you«lets go try some German food» and all you can think of is hot cabbage and a raw potato for dessert… This is not your grandmother’s version of German cooking… Burnt and gross… No, its the opposite. It’s not burnt or gross, it’s THE place to eat downtown. Tasty and affordable with a great selection of beer. Try the spoetzel Mac n cheese and thank me later.

Good beer selection and a fun atmosphere. Nothing vegan on the menu other than fries and I’ve heard mostly average things about anything other than pretty basic sausages, but I can’t weigh in on that. Sometimes it takes a very long time to be greeted.

Great atmosphere, friendly service and tasty food — what more could you ask for in Fargo. We had the Bison cheddar wurst with onions, peppers and sauerkraut. The sausage was cheesy, juicy and flavorful. We also has the Elk jalapeño cheese wurst which was spicy! The buns were fresh baked and held up nicely to the substantial sausages and toppings. They also had a selection of mustards at the tables to top your sausages. For sides we had the poutine with mushroom gravy and fried cheese curds. This had great flavor but could have used a little more gravy, by the end it was gone and we still had fries remaining. We also had the Mac n cheese speatzle which was topped with breadcrumbs. The speatzle nicely held the cheese making for a good spoonful. They have root beer and lots of craft beers on tap. We had the ND sampler which was a good way to try some of the local brew without having to commit to any one pint.

Contrary to the name, this is not the«wurst» bier hall in Fargo! This is my second time here on one of my visits to my home town. I almost feel like a regular(who just happens to live in San Diego)! Both visits included their pretzel with beer cheese dipping sauce. Amazing! Goes treat with the porter from Drekkers which is just down the street if you want to try more of their beers. Sausage selection is good and burgers are offered too. I had the banh mi sausage. A little lacking in true Vietnamese flavor, but what do you expect for a German establishment? Overall it wasn’t too bad. My sister had the kneffla(sp?) soup which she said was very good. Gets busy at lunch with the downtown crowd, so our 1:00 lunch time was perfect.

I’ve been here a couple times now and, while the food is not quite authentic German, it is as close as you will get in Fargo — and good. So far, I have had the Jaegerschnitzel(my favorite German dish) and a cheeseburger. The Jaegerschnitzel seemed like it was old so I wasn’t too happy with it. I will give it a try again before writing it off. The Cheeseburger, on the other hand, was excellent. It had a great beefy taste and the taste of the cheese came through as well, without the greasiness of other burgers I’ve had in the Fargo area. Right now, this is my favorite burger in Fargo. My group also got the pierogis as an appetizer. Very tasty. I will definitely be back.

Something’s have changed. No trio available on the weekends. Toppings come in one container instead of in individual containers. Still amazing, but the changes are not improvements.

Really cool place! Lots of different beers on tap and some interesting German fusion food. However, the execution was… well, ok so I ordered a local beer, some warm German potato salad and Pierogis and a lil side of kraut. The Pierogis were covered in some kind of Sriracha-like sauce and had potato and cheese on the inside. They couldn’t have been homemade; they tasted like the frozen ones you buy at the grocery store. I had a Pierogi craving, so they almost sufficed, but I was disappointed to not have yummy homemade ones. :(The potato salad was strange, just red skin potatoes with no dressing. I’m not sure where the salad part was. I mixed in my kraut and added some mustard, which helped, but it was just confusing. I would give the food 2 stars, but I added a star for the beers and atmosphere. In the future, I would only drink here, as the food just isn’t up to par.

The food was totally awesome and our server matched that level of awesomeness. Attentive knowledgable and knew the German language or at least enough to know what she was serving and how to say it. Cool industrial atmosphere with clean bathrooms. Down side, it was freezing cold and out of a few different things and it was the beginning of the day. We will come back and recommend this place to others!

This is the best wurst restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s very communal which could be good or bad depending on how social you’re feeling. We were cornered by a man who told us his life story which was interesting but not ideal, I guess. The beer selection is awesome and presented very well. They made it easy for me to figure out what I wanted to order. We had the chicken apple wurst and the buffalo cheddar wurst with a side of sweet potato frites. All of it was fantastic. I would definitely go back to try more!

What a fun place. If you have kids in town to visit this would be a good place to help culture them. The group seating in the front is perfect for large groups. The very long bar has plenty of room for everyone else. The Décor is modern and trendy. Lots of steel I-beams make up bar area and larger group tables. All done very tastefully. Service here was genuine and upbeat. The pretzels are fried but are very good. Not something I would eat very often. But if your visiting or have kids with you this would be a good choice. Mustards are set about the place. Portions go a long way. The red cabbage was another winner. Made in house and done right. I prefer more of a vinegar base so It can be mixed with apple sauce. This was on the sweeter side with the apples mixed in. The owners may want to mix it up from time to time. Just for fun. If I lived in Fargo this would definitely be on the list.

Came in here while I was in town for a few days. I ordered the elk sausage and had the fruity mimosa beer. They were both amazing! The staff was attentive and fast even though they were really busy when I came in. Great place.
