Bummed. Heard great things about Lucy’s and their food. Reviews and recommendations for gluten free. Chefs speak Chinese, Hostess can’t translate and all she knew is «they use a white sauce for gluten free.» Was willing to call her boss but after 20 minutes of trying to get an answer the spidy senses were ablaze and we left

I ordered orange chicken, beef with scallions, eggplant with garlic sauce, and kimchi. Food was delivered quickly and was hot, fresh, and excellently prepared. Portions were generous and the food was packed well, and prices reasonable. The orange chicken contained slivers of orange rind and was delicious. I’ve lived in Los Angeles and New York, and have dined at a number of Asian restaurants in major U.S. cities. Very impressed — will not hesitate to order from this restaurant again.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Fargo. Big portions, fast service(delivery, carry-out, or table service), good prices. One of those places that just makes you feel good. I recommend getting the cream cheese wontons with whatever you order.

I have heard nothing but positive things about Lucy’s. I was SO excited to try it and I am beyond disappointed and disgusted. My food arrived quickly but upon inspection about half the containers inside were crushed and food had spilled out… but I decided to give it a try anyway. I dished plates for my family and found large, long black hairs in all of our food. Once I had contacted Lucy’s to complain, the manager on the phone abruptly hung up on me after begrudgingly saying he’d refund me. Needless to say I will never be a return customer.

The best Chinese restaurant in Fargo with quick orders of top fresh quality brought to you made to order. A Fargo secret is they cook made to order almost as fast as fast food but top quality food of different types. I do not know how they do it.

We went to this restaurant due to its high ratings. Hugh waste of money. The fried rice is not fried, they just add egg and a couple of peas to regular rice. Egg rolls are nothing but cabbage and the lo mein was some if the worst I have tasted.

We started going to Lucy’s when our mother was in the hospital with her stroke. Lucy’s food is always dependable. The prices are reasonable, the portion size is generous and it is quicker than most drive throughs I’ve been in. It might not be the fanciest or the most unique Chinese food in Fargo but you can depend on it being worth the trip every time. The sesame chicken is my favorite and the cream cheese won-tons are a must. If you want something different and have a sweeter tooth, try the strawberry chicken. Be prepared to bring home leftovers

Very disappointed with my visit. I am out of town and the Hotel I stayed in recommended them for«probably the best in town. «. If what I had was the best then I can’t imagine the«worst. «I saw a sign that said to take a menu, seat yourself and then walk back up to the cashier to place your order. The only conversations on I had with the«cashier» was do you want a receipt. No smile, no face to face dialog at all. I ordered the hot and sour soup. It was cold. Not warm but cold. I ordered the pork dumplings and they were greasy and the dipping sauce was cold. I ordered the sliced beef and scallions«spiced up». Very bland and they were lukewarm. Terrible meal and with tax $ 20.75 for my meal. I did not leave a tip. Very bad experience. WARNING to all«out of towners». Do not come here. Poor service-poor food.

My husband and I were looking for something different to eat than the usual steak/burger type restaurant. We decided on Chinese food and were not disappointed! Very quick, good service and friendly staff. Get the cream cheese wantons-so good! Will definitely be coming back when we visit Fargo again!

Me and two others placed our orders, within 4 or 5 minutes we received our food HOT and fresh(emphasis on both hot and fresh!) Besides the fast service it is hands down the best Chinese I’ve ever had. Look no further, Lucy’s is the place to go for perfect Chinese cuisine!

Lucy’s is our go-to for Chinese food in Fargo! To be honest, I’m not very well-versed in Chinese cuisine, but I’ve ordered Lucy’s many times and rarely been disappointed. I usually get the Sesame Chicken or some kind of chicken and vegetable dish(when I don’t feel like breaded chicken), and my husband always gets either General Tsao’s chicken or Grandma Noodles. I’m not a fan of the cabbage spring rolls, but that could just be my picky-eater tendencies. I like the option, for many of their meals, to choose between the combo(which is a smaller portion of the chicken [or other main ingredient] but paired with fried rice, an egg roll, and two won tons) or the dish/dinner(which is a larger entrée portion of the meat but comes with only white rice). Either way, I always have enough for leftovers! Meals are always made so quickly! I’ve dined in just once(at the 45th St location, not this one); I always order take out and pick it up myself. I call in the order, leave the house right after, and the meal is always ready when I arrive about ten minutes later. However, it can take a while to get through on the phone, as the line is often busy. From what I’ve observed, one employee works the register, takes orders from the dining-in customers, and also takes orders over the phone. Sometimes we have to call quite a few times, but once we get through, it’s quick from there! I hesitate to give the 5th star just because the quality can be sub-par occasionally(not often), and sometimes the meat to vegetable ratio can leave a bit to be desired. Overall, I do love Lucy’s!

It was ok, nothing great. Weird to walk in, grab your own menu, seat yourself, go to the register to order, grab your own drink and silverware… the only thing they do is bring your food to you. If you order an appetizer, don’t expect it to be delivered first, ours came after the first plate of food was delivered to the table. Spicy beef with cilantro was flavorful but not spicy. My boyfriend got the spicy shrimp and it was very mild as well. I’d order takeout and get the beef again, but I wouldn’t go to the restaurant simply because I expect more than the service they offered.

I went on a recommendation from a coworker. First the service was prompt and courteous. As for price on par with others I have seen, but they lost me with the most important part the food. I got combo meal and wonton soup, the soup look like dirty dish water, and the wontons were slimy. As for the entrée the should have been spicy but instead was very sweet. I will go again with my coworker so she can make recommendations

I love Lucy’s!(No pun intended there.) I had the pork lo me in today, & it was great, as usual. My friend had a chicken entrée which was okay, but was too crunchy & fried. The dumpling appetizer tasted great.

I came here based on the reviews and I got the garlic chicken. When I got back to my hotel room to eat, i took a bite and could taste the meat was old and starting to go bad. I cook all the time and I know the taste of bad meat. I paid $ 8.55 for a dish produced in 3 minutes. I had to throw it out!

The food is good, service isn’t bad at all, definitely a place to have a nice family dinner, it’s not pricey, a combo would be under 10, and most of the food ranges from 8 to 15 dollars.

I think Lucys is the best Chinese food in town! I’m so excited that they have opened a 2nd location. Entrées come fast and the wontons are fresh, light and crispy. The owner is nice and the staff is friendly, although you don’t deal with them much. You order when you walk in, then find a table to wait for someone to bring your selection. It’s rarely full, and if it is, it’s still good as take out.

Now, I must start by saying I don’t usually like to base a poor review on just one experience; but based on this one dinner at Lucy’s I don’t see myself returning for more. We had heard so many great things about Lucy’s and were excited to finally get some good Chinese food here in Fargo… after having so many great choices in Chicago. We were utterly disappointed! The eggrolls, a standard starter for Chinese restaurants were tasteless and soggy. For our main course, we both ordered chicken dishes that came so quickly(within 5 – 7 minutes) that there was no realistic way they could’ve been made to order. It seemed and tasted like they were simply microwaved and brought to our table. There were no veggies included in the meals either(usually a standby in Chinese restaurants we’ve been to before), just chicken and rice. The only good thing about the meal were the wontons… that earned the single star in this review. We left wanting to ask the owner, «Where to do you eat and what do you serve at home, because that’s the food we want.» The search for good Chinese in Fargo continues…
