I love love love Sarya’s. A beautiful intimate eclectic artsy space with outdoor area. Crafty cocktails, homeade sangria, scrumptious small plates. The company is always lovely too! A favorite local spot!

If I knew that this was such a great spot, I would’ve been here every day of the summer. I’ve had it bookmarked for the past couple of months and I finally decided to try it out with a friend of mine about 2 weeks ago. It’s in a great neighborhood near the beach along a strip of a couple trendy restaurants/wine bars. The first time we had such a kind and great waiter but I can’t remember her name. The second time Rasheeda who’s super awesome took great care of us. She’s make an amazing cornbread! The spicy meatballs, chicken soup, turkey burgers, homemade chips and pesto constinti are all mouthwatering. Seriously. Of course they have a great variety of wine and mixed drinks.

This place looks so nice, I would love to rent and have a party. However the service was horrible. I ordered a cheese board that took a long time to come out, I though they forgot about me. I think they did cause the lady didnt know who ordered it. And the cheese board choices seem so basic and not great at all. When I order a cheese board I like something a little bit more exotic, I got cheddar and blue cheese. I should have know to stay away if they could not name the cheeses or the names on the menu. The sangria was not that good and very water down. It sat in some container and just seems like they didnt shake it before serving. Oh and i waited over 15 minutes before someone even came to give me a menu to order. i really want to like this place and just can’t.

It’s peaceful ambiance is only exceeded by the staff and management’s friendly, but professional attitude. Love the place, love food, love the mimosas!(Sophie, you’re outstanding)!

Food and wine were perfect. I had the portabella mushroom sandwich with a glass of merlot. The waitress was friendly. I took away one star because our whole table kept getting their food and drinks before one person on our table. Which it might of just been a coincidence but it was definitely awkward. Nonetheless I would recommend this place.

So the service here is all over the place. They were forgetful, and at one point a different server came over to us and asked if we were being helped, like do you guys not talk? Our server was high or something she was so out of it, it was so weird! The food is too expensive for what they serve sorry, I definitely won’t come back.

Very cool place… love the live jazz that is playing right now… the people working here are amazing. The only problem that me and my party have is that there’s only ONEBATHROOM :/. The long was always long. BUT I’ll definitely come back here for the vibe. I recommend this place

Great food, great space, terrible service. Third stop on a bar crawl after a beach day with my roommate. We ordered a carafe of sangria and a few different dishes to share. Sangria itself was watery was heck but the fruit(apples) inside were strong as all get go. Makes me think it’s been sitting around for a few days? Oh well. Ordered cheese plate and meatballs(because they were apparently out of turkey sliders aka the reason we came). An hour goes by with no food, so we asked our waiter what was going on. Ordered pretzels(yum) which came out 10 minutes later but still no original food. Multiple times our waiter asked us if this or that had come out yet. An hour and a half goes by with neighbors being served but no for us. Finally a beautiful cheese plate comes out(with what ends up being two complimentary carafes of sangria). We remind him again about the meatballs, and they eventually came. Also delicious. A great trio of music started playing about an hour in. Definitely set the tapas bar-seque mood. A nice family of raccoons also entertained us outdoor guests with their appearances(totally serious, really cute). Wouldn’t come back for the service, definitely would come back for the food/music/atmosphere.

Thee best of Rockaway!!! Great STAFF!!! Great beer, wine, and house made sangria(Red & White). The Turkey Burger Sliders and the Meat Balls are AAAAAaaaaAAMAZING!(It’s not a restaurant and they don’t have a kitchen, so order with patience; so worth the wait!) Great Vibe, eclectic crowd, spacious outdoor patio, aaaaaaand they have this thing called«Customer Service» that doesn’t seem to exist anywhere else in New York. If you are looking for a cool local spot, this is it! I’ve never had a bad night here, well maybe one bad night; but that was because my gf was pissed at me for God knows what and… ok, getting off track here! Long story short, take your angry drunk gf somewhere else please!

This place is great! The staff is so warm and welcoming, the food is great and the wine’s never bad. Not to mention the outdoor space is amazing. We go there every time we’re in the area.

Waited 2 hours for a cheese plate that I could have assembled at home. Give up on the two microwaves and focus on wine and beer.

Great outdoor space and options. Excellent service. We didn’t order food other than the soft pretzels(delicious). This was a very pleasant experience.

Such an awesome spot!!! It’s very low key and has a mellow setting. It’s a small place but very intimate. Has a wide variety of wines and also some beers. Also has an interesting menu! I recommend the pesto bread and olives. If you’re in the neighborhood and looking for something nice to unwind with some wine, definitely go here.

Such a great place!!! Literally an oasis for the Rockaway area, as it’s surrounded by a desert of dive bars. They call it a wine bar, but they sure have a small but excellent beer list– featuring a few 100 scoring beers on ratebeer. The food is fine, it’s well paired with the drinks, but that’s not really an issue for me when the drinks are this damned good. The space itself is also pretty incredible, apparently Patrick the owner, he essentially built everything in the bar including it’s amazing outdoor space and all the custom walls. In the backspace they play movies sometimes, and in the front they’ve always got decent tunes playing. I go on the earlier side(6−8pm) because it gets really busy after that. If you’re in the area and you want to drink something other than miller lite, this is the place for you.

Came from NYC for July 4th weekend. I love the atmosphere in here. It’s great to see places like this popping up. Great staff and great food. It’s a smaller menu… But delicious. It poured most of the night, but they have a big outdoor area with a bar. I would recommend anyone that comes down to Rockaway Beach to stop by this place.

Great spot, love the backyard space. The décor is really cute and makes you feel as if you are somewhere on vacation which is a stark contrast with the front door! From the street it doesn’t look that impressive but take a chance, there is a great place inside. The only complaint I have is that the portions and food menu are too small. Perfect if you want a snack but not if you are hungry. Everything was delicious, great flavors and tons of wine and beer choices! I will be back to partake in the film screenings /live music but not for dinner!

Sayra’s is one of my favorite spots in Rockaway! The wine selection and food are both amazing and it’s also one of the most beautiful bars I’ve ever stepped foot in(or out — since they have a really cool backyard/garden with lots of seating, heat lamps, and table service!) The owners and the staff are some of the sweetest people! It’s always a pleasure to head here after the beach, yoga, or to just meet up with friends :)

Lori N. took me to Sayra’s after an afternoon at the beach. I love the backyard space. There’s tons of space, and it’s pleasantly decorated, with gravel, picnic tables, and seaside trinkets. Service was a bit spotty despite the fact that it wasn’t very full on a Sunday afternoon. Also, the $ 2 chips were very, very, very close to being BBQ Lays. In fact, we’re 99% sure they were Lays.(I’d love to be convinced otherwise.) Wine selection was tight and tasty. This new wine bar could be a cool hub of the neighborhood, as they have movies and maybe could host wine tastings or other events. I’ll be excited to come back in a few weeks or so.
