Open from dusk till dawn, the Maine Audubon is a beautiful place located about 15 minutes from Portland. Gorgeous scenery, nice trails, water view, and lots of chipmunks! A nice place to enjoy nature and take a break from the city. This would be a great spot to have a picnic, go for a run, have a wedding, or have pictures taken. The Maine Audubon is gorgeous in fall, but I’m sure all seasons here are awesome. So glad to have found this little gem and will definitely be back soon!

I overheard someone refer to this place as a hidden gem in the Portland area. I had no idea it was there until I attended a wedding. It was beautiful and the views of the river with the changing leaves were stunning. I really look forward to going back soon and exploring the walking trails.

I have lived in Falmouth, ME for the last 1.5 years and I finally stopped the other day to see what the Audubon has to offer in Falmouth. I was pleasantly surprised for a number of items. There is a sculpture exhibit going on at the moment that is great! I like to walk the trails and discover something new around the corner.
The day I stopped at Gilsland Audubon, was also really awesome due to a low lying fog that kept blowing in and out during my visit!
Definitely worth visiting during anytime of day for a quick visit with nature. There are plenty of turkey’s and woodchucks all around!!!
