I thought the sushi was just grand, which outweighs everything else. We just got the chef’s choice and were happy, aside from the one crab stick(imitation?) and I didn’t want the shrimp. Lots of other good stuff though. The price is a bit too high. Hard to find. Closes a little early. The staff was a little quiet but honestly, I didn’t mind. They were nice enough.

Excellent sushi. Really really really fresh. We had the large sashimi plate(I think is called«ocean») and every piece was melt-in-your-mouth. Another plus is that it is not very touristy. It is a bit out of the main strip, not a place you happen to find, so most of the clientele come specifically for it… Good service.

A hidden gem! We ate here last night, and it was fantastic! A nice break from throngs of people on main street. If I hadn’t read the reviews on Unilocal,we likely would not have eaten at an empty-ish restaurant, but so glad we did. Sushi(we had rolls and chirashi) very fresh and well prepared. The location keeps it hidden so was peaceful and relaxing inside. Highly recommended!

We’ve come here a couple times while visiting the area… If we lived closer we’d be back A LOT. It’s a small place in kind if a obscure location, with very simple décor. But the sushi is fantastic, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. The last time we visited they were very busy, but only had one waitress who was clearly overwhelmed. This meant things took a while, but the sushi was well worth it.

Best sushi to be found this side of the cape, consistently great food and service. Possibly location to be its only downfall, because it’s never too busy and not known by to many local people I know. Falmouth is definitely sleepin on this place. Far better than the other options around. Highly recommend(off the menu) «spicy/crunchy whole tuna roll» simply delicious

I’ve lived in Falmouth for 3 years and refused to believe there was good sushi hidden in Homeport. Turns out, there is! The sushi menu is relatively small — a good sign IMO — and the restaurant itself is definitely small. We went on a Friday night around 6:30, and it was deserted. Our server was really helpful and she suggested a great Saki. The rolls are reasonably priced and everything we ordered was fresh and tasty.

My boyfriend and I enjoy coming here for«date night» sometimes. The rolls are always fresh and aesthetically pleasing! Recently I tried their teriyaki chicken and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! Much better than most places I’ve been. Not quite sure what it was about it. but it’s definitely worth a taste! The waitress(the only woman I’ve ever seen waitressing) and the sushi maker(again, only ever seen one) are always very kind and have always answered all the random questions we’ve had. I give this place 5 starts because I really enjoy the sushi, the teriyaki sauce is GREAT and the service is always good. If my budget allowed I would come here more often.

Went there today for lunch around 1pm. I asked the waitress if she could do the chicken teriyaki with just vegetables instead of chicken and vegetables and she merely replied«no», with no other suggestions. My father told her how good the appetizer was and she looked at him and walked away. Asked her later on for spicy mayo that tasted just like mayo. I would give the food a 3⁄5 and the service 1⁄5.

This is the best sushi on the Cape! Always fresh and delicious –William could be a sushi chef in NYC but choose the Cape to land. Just tell him what you like and he’ll feed you well! Service is awesome. Family run sushi place that will rock you!

Very disappointed. Small rolls. Overpriced. Sushi options are few and far between though.

Best sushi on the upper Cape. Chef William and his family are super cool and the food is always extremely fresh and high quality. Atmosphere a little lacking but then prices very reasonable. Definitely check it out if you are in the area — well worth it.

Good service. A bit pricey but maybe not for this nook of the country. Food was good. Quiet and austere atmosphere. With not that many sushi options in the area this is definitely a good one.

Best sushi in upper cape. A little hard to find. Look for the little sign that says sushi with an arrow off jones road. Service is great.

Nice quiet atmosphere in the off season. The Beef Teriyaki was very good, but I came here for Korean food and was disappointed to find that it was no longer being served. A bit on the expensive side even for Japanese. But all in all a nice pleasant place with friendly service. Just wish that they retained a few Korean items on the menu.

The sushi is very fresh and well made. The only knock is the lack of a wide selection. The restaurant is small, but the staff is friendly. The prices are not that expensive, and cheaper than I usually see in NYC.

Lemme sum up: Very good sushi, excellent service, good décor When I go out for sushi, I’m more interested in the quality of the food and service than the décor. Homeport Café is where I choose to satiate my nigiri fix. William is an attentive sushi chef, whose English may be a little broken, but his skills at creating a custom plate are as sharp as his knife. This is another Cape establishment that is almost impossible to find. In a sense, I kinda like that because it keeps the wait down for a table. *chuckles* Look for a small sign the size of a realtor’s «Open House this way» yard ornament pointing you into the main parking lot for Homeport. Once inside, you can chose to sit at the bar(see picture) or there are a few booths and tables that can seat four to six people. Very sparse decorations, but I love the«Thank You» list by the door that has the phrase in every language imaginable.(If it doesn’t have it in your language, let the hostess know and she’ll probably have it added.) Suffice it to say, what they lack in ambiance, they make up for in service and sushi. I enjoy the moon-blossom(ika focus) maki and some tako nigiri with hot sake.(Clearly, I’m trying to control the cephalopod invasion through culinary warfare.) William also makes a great Alaska roll using cucumber instead of avocado to add a nice snap. Colorful, tasty, and satisfying! William usually has a daily special that’s a good deal so check out the blackboard by the sushi bar or go with my recommendation. The tako is tender enough that you can’t believe it’s not butter.(OK, a slight exaggeration but it’s never tough or chewy, and THAT is worth the trip alone.) If you’re not in it for the flash, but more for the flavor, drop anchor at Homeport Café.

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. The fish has always been excellent and the server is very friendly. A nice quiet place for dinner alone at the sushi bar or an intimate evening with a good friend. I eat here as often as I can afford to.

If I said I went along for this outing so I wouldn’t have to sit at home watching another rerun of MTV’s «Next», it would be true. Some friends of my signother at the time were in town from Los Angeles and they were interested in sushi. We tried to hold back the snickers– they were so far from posh and swanky LA. On a good day I’d been told the sushi bought from local supermarkets was half-decent, so we weren’t sure we’d be able to cater to their raw seafood needs. And I’ll come right out and say it: I don’t like sushi. I know, I’m like 5… but I tried it to be cool, tried it again for myself, and by the third time I’d just about vomited. Not for me. So we looked up Homeport Café and gave it a try. We were all pleasantly surprised. It does give off a café vibe, but it holds its own as a medium-sized restaurant. Our server was fantastic and because I was pretending to enjoy the 2 rolls I ordered, I made up for it in all the sake I was consuming. In summary, I don’t like sushi but my party was very impressed with it and the atmosphere is quite inviting. I’d go back just for the sake.
