Hemphill’s Pond & Garden Center

Look guys, it’s Easter Sunday and they were open. This is, simply put, a Mom and Pop business who were as cute as they could be. We decided today (well, like an hour beforehand) that we wanted a fountain for our little pond. We know nothing about ponds. Told them so over the phone. They said if we were willing to drive over, they’ll teach us some things. Who does that anymore? They had a selection that blew the place in Cockeysville away and at better prices. Sure, she said wait a minute whenever somebody pulled up to buy an Easter plant, but that’s why they opened today and she told me so. They are old school, but honest and it all got done. We now have people stopping already to look at our fountain. If you need crap and stupid people, go to the big box stores. If you can spare a few minutes and have a personable experience go here. Life’s a journey, relax.

The women running this business is a complete wacko. She has no idea on how to treat people or deal with the public. I called and ordered some mulch and asked her a few questions about quaility and where it came from. (Some mulch comes from junk wood and is full of termites) She acted like I was trying to source her provider. Weeks later I called to schedule a pick up and arrived a short while after I called again. She wrote my cell number down in her book (from the call a few weeks prior) and proceeded to tell me that she knew that «I was the person calling and giving her a hard time a few weeks ago»…keep in mind this was a few weeks prior to my visit. She then bragged about how «nothing gets by her, etc.»
Well, my checkbook has and will for the remainder of my life. prior to this my wife bought a bunch of plants from her (several thousands of dollars worth) — Well, that has been stopped! Go elsewhere. Many other places with friendly service, better selection and none of this nonsense!!! See… I WIN!!!
