I have been to this salon now twice, and I was incredibly satisfied with both visits. Now, this is coming from a girl who has been to TONS of salons to get my hair styled, or to get a Brazilian blowout, Ombré hair dye, regular dye, keratin treatment, what have you, I have done it all at many different places, and have never felt so satisfied with the results as I did at Venus Salon. First of all, at other salons I have simply asked for my dark red hair to be dyed black, and the color faded within a few months. With Venus Salon, I asked them to dye my hair Ombré, which they did with two different tones, and they did a fantastic job, exactly what I wanted, and three months later the color looks just as good. This month I asked for a keratin treatment, from Venus Salon. At previous salons, the workers did not go the extra mile with the keratin treatments (sometimes it didn’t even relax my hair!), and I know, because I have had it done at least 8 times in my life, so I know the difference between a job well done, and not so much. At Venus salon, they painstakingly worked on my hair for 3 hours to perfect it, (i have a LOT of hair, very thick, very long) and it looked so beautiful afterwards. I am so satisfied, plus they are FAIR with the pricing. I would absolutely recommend this place to someone else who wants to get some special work done with their hair. I called on 1-​15-​2016 to make an appointment and I was given an appointment the same day. My appointment was at 12:30 pm but I called because I got lost. I was about 15 minutes late and finally found the place. I came inside and showed them my Groupon. Then the owner said Sonny had an appointment and if I wanted to reschedule. I said if that was the case why was I told I can come. I said I came from Laurel, MD and no I didn’t want to reschedule. Then I said I’m just going to call and cancel my Groupon. Then the owner said Sonny would do my hair. I asked for Carmel brown highlights and my ends were orange. Sonny applied a toner to my highlights after the owner was talking to hearing their language. Sonny asked me how I wanted my haircut. I asked for a trim and got about four inches cut. I’m never ever going here again.

I came here with a Groupon for a haircut, partial highlights and deep conditioning. I don’t think I’ll ever come back. The highlights I received are the oddest colors I’ve ever had in my hair and the deep conditioning is completely non-​existent. I’m certain my hair feels even dryer than it did before my appointment. The foil application took nearly 2 hours and then another woman had to help because my original stylist had another appointment. They rushed through my actual hair cut and dry/​style.

Yikes — I had a 5:00 massage appointment. After 15 minutes they sent me into a room. After another 10 NO ONE showed up!!! What a disorganized mess. The massage therapist (I think it is the owner/​manager) was busy with other clients during my «appointment.» Never going back & I live 5 minutes away!!!

I should have written a review earlier because I have never been so impressed by a haircut in my entire life. The moment I walked out I felt like a superstar, and it stayed that way even after a shower! They really know how to deal with straight Asian hair. My hairdresser was so detail-​oriented and took her time to make sure that my bob did not look choppy. I know how difficult it is to make layers look «unchoppy» with Asian hair especially. I need to come back here because after going to another hairdresser (not going to say who) to get the same bob cut, my hair looks like it’s been cut by a 5 year old with blunt layers cut throughout the back. Venus Salon & Spa made sure that my hair would look flawless and seamless. I regret not coming back here to get a follow-​up cut. I should have just driven the extra miles to guarantee a great experience. I fully endorse Venus Salon & Spa!
I will be coming back here to fix my bad haircut as SOON as possible.

Bought a groupon here and was very pleased. The place is tiny tiny tiny and kind of in an office building. There were two super super sweet Korean women working there, and no one else came in during my time. First off, for coloring, both of the women tag teamed my highlights… Which was awesome. They were consulting with each other the whole time. For the cut… I honestly don’t think anyone has ever spent so long meticulously cutting my hair. She really really wanted it to look good, which is very different from the 30 minutes in and out that I’m used to at chain salons. Granted I was the only one there so they didn’t have anyone else to attend to, but still 2 ½ hours?! They were super nice, super sweet, and super attentive. I also love my hair btw. Only downside was I had to pay a $ 20 long hair fee… But I mean I was paying with a groupon so I couldn’t really complain! Great place, great ladies!

I had a wonderful experience here. I had a Groupon for a partial highlight, haircut, deep conditioning and blowdry. The blonde highlights turned out great, the conditioning treatment was relaxing and my dry hair needed it. The haircut was pretty simple, i just asked for a quick trim of the ends, and she did that well. She did suggest a cutting technique to thin my hair a little in the front since it’s so thick and heavy, and it turned out great, and feels alot lighter.
I found out that they offer the same price as Groupon for that package, as an every day price. So it’s a very affordable option for highlights in a clean, relaxing salon. They have a private room for facials/​waxing/​etc. and another room for nails. They have really relaxing classical music playing and offer hot teas. I’d definitely come back.

I was a bit scared after reading some of the reviews. I came here after purchasing a groupon. Sunny did my hair, partial highlights, deep conditioning and haircut. I was also convinced to do a mani/​pedi. I was amazed and how careful and detailed sunny was. She was thorough and did my mani/​pedi while I was getting my deep conditioner. Although I was there 3 hours, I was relaxed. Mind you the salon is a bit small and if you have to use the bathroom you have to go use Panera’s highly neglected facilities.
One of the best part of my experience is the other stylists helped out sunny during their slow time. It was fun having 2 people curl my hair.
I love the color of my hair and nails.
I’m definitely coming back.

I got a Groupon to go to this salon and I was interested in the deep conditioning treatment and the haircut. I am extremely disappointed. I brought a photo of the haircut I wanted and she said, «I’ll try», I should have left. This haircut is horrible, on top of it she ripped 3 of my 4 earrings out. My haircut is NOTHING like the photo I showed her, I don’t like it. I will never go back. Trust me, no groupon is worth a crappy haircut and missing earrings.

A very nice and clean place. I went in for a quick wash and blow dry but the lady (Sunny) spent an hour and a half and took really good care of my hair. She spent time washing and deep conditioning my hair which made them very silky smooth and beautiful. I have long hair and usually I don’t get them to spend so much time on my hair since it’s harder to take care of long hair but she not only washed and deep conditioned them but she also styled them and spent time doing it right. I would highly recommend this salon and would go back to them — Sunny really knows how to do good hair care and style

If I could give this zero stars, I would. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
I never post reviews but this was probably the worst haircut experience I’ve ever had, so I had to. I was long overdue for a haircut so I found a groupon near me. Although my hair was grown out, my layers and overall shape were present. First of all, the receptionist called me as I was finding parking, and I told her I would be there soon. As I was walking over literally TWO MINUTES LATER she called again. Instead of asking me if I was having trouble or anything she said nothing? Like she was expecting me to explain why I was two minutes late. Once I got in she made me pay up front– I thought she was just checking the groupon, so I didn’t think much of it but I definitely should not have let her.
When I told the hairdresser I had naturally curly hair but usually styled it straight, she seemed annoyed. Sorry that I have curly hair? I know it’s different than yours, lady, but you shouldn’t make me feel bad for what I was born with. She then washed my hair and brought me over to the chair. Another woman walked in, an hour early for her appointment. Instead of asking her to wait til the time she scheduled, the hairdresser decided to do both of our hair at the same time. (WTF???) this means she did my conditioning treatment as fast as she could and stuck my under a dryer while she focused on the other woman. She eventually caught on that i was sitting there doing nothing after the dryer had been done for a while, and came back to cut my hair. (The other woman was now being put under the dryer.) I showed a picture of my last haircut, a photo that was literally of me which she barely glanced at. I explained what I wanted very thoroughly and detailed and made sure she understood, to which she said she did. She then started blow drying my hair very frizzily and messily halfway through, then began to flat iron it while it was still damp. (Once again, WTF.) she then cut my hair, as I kept referring to the picture and telling her what I wanted. She then proceeded to cut off WAY too much (good bye long hair) and my haircut turned out NOTHING like the picture. When I pointed out that it looked very different, she brushed it off and said «your hair isn’t different, it can’t do that» despite the fact that it WAS LITERALLY A PICTURE OF ME. At this point, even though I tried to be mature, I couldn’t help crying. She somehow managed to give me such a bad hair cut that I ended up looking like a poofy and frizzy dog-​grandma. I don’t know how this woman managed to emphasize the frizz in my hair, after asking her to cut it off. The receptionist/​other hairdresser (??) who hadn’t been doing anything before tried to help, and she improved it just a smidge, but overall it still looks awful. I’m also appalled that this woman literally grabbed my phone out of my hands multiple times to view the picture. How rude is that?
I’m going to be wearing my hair up for the next six months, I hate it so much. I cannot get over how it was the complete opposite of what I asked for, despite the fact that I emphasized what I wanted and the picture so much. I could have done a much better job with kitchen scissors in front of my bathroom sink, but unfortunately if I tried to fix it now it would be way way too short for my comfort.
Basically, if your haircut is anything other than the most plain, no layer, straight across cut, DO NOT COME HERE. SERIOUSLY. STAY AWAY.

I used the Groupon deal for a cut, deep conditioning, blow dry. The results turned out great! I love my hair but there were a few concerns: the lady definitely kept cutting my hair randomly, for example, before combing it out she cut a bunch. then she would cut random strands at random times and even after drying the hair. She did a wonderful job but if you are high stress individual while getting haircit be careful. I had warn her to stop cutting shorter and shorter.

I received a groupon for this salon and was told I would get an excellent haircut, I was a bit disappointed. The deep conditioning was great but the stylist never even asked me what I wanted done with my hair and when I showed her a picture of what I wanted she simply said ‘but that’s for shorter hair’. but isn’t that the point of going to get a hair cut? my hair was simply cut a few inches straight across and was not layered as I hoped it would be. I was confused when the haircut was concluded because I thought some layers would be put in, I don’t see myself coming back to this salon.

I have bought a Groupon for this salon and the same day I bought it I got in loved my hair ! And I have gotten The deep conditioning which made my hair feel ultra silky loved it sunny did a great job definitely worth going back!

They cheated me. I paid for 4 massages and when I went back for the second they told me that the masseuse had left with my money and they wouldn’t honor my remaining massages. I argued and argued to no avail. Totally dishonest.

I went to Venus Salon & Spa not knowing what I wanted… just knowing that I needed something magical to happen to my flat, boring hairstyle. The hairstylists at Venus did an amazing job! They really analyzed what would look good on my head… at one point they even debated what to do to a specific section of my hair given its wily ways. Whatever they did turned out phenomenal. The haircut I left with is just what I wanted and, despite my inability to articulate this, they hit the nail on the head!

Just back from the most delicious and affordable mani-​pedi and waxing. The service is friendly and the massage chairs amazing. There is coffee, tea, grat music, no pain. Do yourself a favor, go there and indulge!!!

Very detail-​oriented! Nice people! Great service! I walked in 30 minutes prior to close and they took me without an appointment and stayed 30 minutes after closing to finish my service properly! Highly recommend! :)
