I don’t drive to work. And even if I did, there aren’t many good places to eat within lunch time driving distance. That being said, I usually bring my lunch. Keeps the wallet fat and the tummy small. However, like many girls(and guys), I have serious binge eating tendencies and let me tell you, Skyline Café assists that very well. They have a weigh and pay type system that you get your food, weigh it, then PAYIT. And boy do you fucking pay. I always crave Kim Bop and since that shit is so heavy, it costs $ 4 for 4 pieces. But, when you crave some carbs, you crave some carbs, damnit. Also a favorite is their chicken quesadillas(from the weigh and pay part). Jesus Mary and Joseph… I swear there is crack inside of those things. They are highly addictive. Who knew Koreans could master the art of the chicken quesadilla?! Other weighed items include, but not limited to, peach cobbler, chinese foods, salad, fried chicken, rice, beans, etc… I’ve also, on occasion, had their grilled items(paid by the item versus the pound) and I love the BLT(how do they get their bacon so crispy?!) and their Bi Bim Bop and Korean Cheesesteaks. Don’t bother bookmarking this place to try as it services the workers of the Falls Church area. It’s open from like 6am until 2pm. These guys so have the market cornered. Supply/Demand… they have little supply, big demand so you pay A LOT.

This little place is tucked away down a hallway that if you didn’t know to look for, you wouldn’t find. This Skyline Café is NOT to be confused with the Skyline Café located on George Mason Blvd — another great lunch spot, but completely different food! It has a weigh your salad bar/hot bar(which I try to avoid since I don’t like those $ 10 salads because I decide to go with a «little» of everything). They also have a sandwich bar in the back. The food is nothing special, but if you need a quick lunch, then this is one of the places you could go to and attempt to eat healthy(I’m usually not successful in this endeavor). Yesterday I got the Gyro with lamb. They made it fast, it tasted good and it filled me up. I can’t ask for much more from a «fast food» joint. BTW: Its cash only. But in case you forgot your cash, they have an ATM right when you walk in the door.

This place exists to feed the folks that work in the Skyline complex. It’s busy to the point of chaotic at lunchtime and they close around 3pm. As others have noted, if you don’t work here, you’d never know this place existed. The café(recently rebranded as ‘Skyline Café 1990′) is part sandwich shop and part buffet. The buffet seems a little pricey for what it is, but it has a good variety for breakfast and lunch. The sandwiches are pretty good(bulgogi cheesesteak is great, but don’t let em throw lettuce and tomato in) and definitely better than Subway or Quiznos. I mostly come here for the iced coffee. $ 1.98(price went up sometime in 2012) for a 20oz cup and it’s good and strong. Edit: they take credit/debit cards now.

I am one of the many workers who visit this place during the week. I was very ecstatic about it because they have great Kimbop and Kimchee. They make great sandwiches and a lot of people drink their coffee. The prices are exorbitant. they don’t accept credit cards I supposed to cut down on transaction fees. They get a lot of people. They do have a great breakfast buffet. it’s not buffet you pay per pound…$ 6.95 a pound. You should go over to Target and get a Smart Ones breakfast instead for $ 2. They have an ATM which in the past used to be broken all the time but it works every time now so YAY to that. If you get there at 2 more than half of the food is gone you are better off getting a sandwich freshly made instead of getting stagnant General Tso’s Chicken. the little pieces are left. I used to come to get a salad but I just go to McDonald’s and get 2 side salads for 2 dollars. Good for the Kimbop and sandwiches… everything else is over priced. Don’t do it! Don’t do it!

This place is tucked away in a hallway behind a McDonald’s in the Target parking lot. You probably wouldn’t even think of coming here when driving by it since you can’t even see signs or the entrance. Well in terms of what they have to offer: Hot Grill(reuben’s, philly cheese steaks, cubans), Buffet(typical Chinese food and anything American that’s fried), decent chips and drinks selection, plus gum and candy like a convenience store. Cash only. And if you speak a little Korean, you may get a little discount too(Shocker this place is owned by Koreans). Their biggest crowds come from the 7 office buildings in the area.
