It looks like this place went out of business. I thought their food was great but then maybe the management wasn’t that great. I will miss the crab fried rice and conch noodle soup.

I love this place! It’s so underrated, not sure why. Everything I’ve tried so far have been delicious. From their crab fried rice to the coconut snail to the cajun shrimp to the banh canh(crab noodle soup). It’s such a great combination of seafood and Vietnamese cuisine. One of my favorite restaurants in Nova!

One of my favorite seafood spots in the area. Conveniently located in Eden center in Falls Church. Don’t expect gracious service… do expect great food. This place always fulfills my clam, shrimp, oyster, crab, crawfish and conch cravings. Fresh seafood and nuoc mam… all you need in life!

Why am I back at a strip mall Asian place again? Words Can NOT describe how terrible this place is? I have been here a few times just to verify that I wasn’t out of my mind the first time, or the second time, but I was correct – this place is absolutely terrible! SO a little bit more details other than just«Terrible» — Here we go… First off, the«picnic» style tables outside the main restaurant with plastic windows… words cannot describe this effect. Next, the paper plates and plastic flatware… Are we at a 3rd grader’s field day or in a restaurant? Besides it being tacky as hell, it is not very functional. Real plates(that go in dishwashers and such) do not bleed through and such. but I am just one person. Next, when there is a simple HURRICANE type rain storm, maybe this restaurant should close the outdoor seating area but. they do not. instead, they continue to serve food on paper plates. The GOOD: The food is not terrible The BAD:(Please read above. but the service is quite terrible and the food is not worth it) The UGLY: Need I say more? I usually don’t write such bad reviews but this place is pretty bad – the food isn’t terrible but the service and overall quality of the restaurant is just poor.

This is one of the coolest places in Eden Center because of the patio seating. Eating inside is like eating at a Subway or a low class cafeteria, but the outside section is second to only the bar around the corner(Spicy Bar & Grill). Having said that the rest of the experience is nothing to write home about. To give you some background on me, I don’t particularly like asian cuisine. When I find something good I love it, but for me, it is hard to find that perfect meal. I ordered the Salt & Pepper Wok Shrimp, which was 8 large fried-ish shrimp over some lettuce/tomato/onion/green pepper. The shrimp was pretty good mixed with the red sauce they give you(fish sauce with chili). but the salad below was not very good and contained way too large(not chopped enough) chunks of lettuce/pepper. You also get a small bowl of white rice on the side which I guess you can/should mix into the dish, but I didn’t like the salad so didn’t want to ruin the rice. The server was great, awesome service, very nice. There were also 2 TVs outside which means you could probably watch a Nats game. I liked sitting outside but didnt’ really like the food. They have beer for like $ 4 too but I didn’t get one(Heineken or Corona). If I go back(I may due to the patio) I will order steamed seafood(they don’t have a «mix» which is why I didn’t get any). I think that will be much better. My meal cost me around $ 17 after tip for one person which seemed to be average.

My husband and I love this place. It’s located in the Eden Center complex. We usually crave the Wok Tossed Entrees such as Soft Shell Crab and Calamari both over fresh vegetables. The wok items are lightly fried and not heavy. We’ve also had the cajun crawfish and Shrimp which we really enjoyed. This is one of my favorite places to go in NoVa. Simple, easy, casual, and perfect for a low key night.

I was in the mood for crawfish and was spending the weekend in DC. I found this place using Unilocal, and I’m super happy I did! My partner in crime and I ordered the escargot in coconut sauce, the fried rice with crab, the lotus salad and 3 lbs of crawfish — 2 spicy and 1 mild. It was a delicious feast! Everything was tasty. I actually preferred the crawfish preparation here compared to the traditional Cajun-style; I generally find the Cajun-style to be a bit salty for my taste buds. Overall, this place is a gem. I just wished I lived closer! Wah.

There are so many great places to eat in Eden Center it’s hard to find the time, stomach space, money, and willing drivers to try them all. I’ve seen Seaside Crab House for years but finally tried it for a late dinner because they were one of the few restaurants open after 9pm. The service was great; very helpful, attentive, and friendly. When I asked about the crawfish, our server said they were a speciality but that they were a little on the small side that night. I appreciate his honesty. We ended up ordering: –coconut snails — tiny little snails immersed in an amazing coconut sauce. The sauce was so good we were scooping it into our rice. If you haven’t had the little baby snails before, they are hard to eat. It takes a lot of sucking and a little prying with a toothpick. Lots of work for a booger-size piece of snail meat but it’s great with the sauce. –grilled shrimp. Loved this! The char on the shrimps were perfect and gave them a nice smoky flavor that went well with the garlic and scallions –grilled clams. Another great dish with fried onions, peanuts, scallions. Comes with a sweet fish sauce that is a game changer — don’t forget to drizzle this on the clams. The prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere low-key. I’ll definitely be back.

Got the grilled oysters. …different flavor but really good. They had a Vietnamese kick to them… spring onions, peanuts and one other thing that was on there I can’t remember, but it had a really good taste and were a very nice size and you get 15 of them. Ate inside. A litle cramped but if you have a group it makes for an intimate space:) The menu seemed to be very Cajun Vietnamese fusion. The crawfish looked good and they were actually at a great price but I didn’t get them tonight. amaybethe next time I come back, I’ll try those.

I was a little iffy about trying this place at first but after awhile of walking around Eden Center(and got hungry), I decided to jus try it out bc I couldn’t wait any longer to have crawfish in my tummy. Turns out my family was right all along. It’s not bad at all! We ordered 5 lbs of crawfish, of course I ate like 3 of it lol. They also have snails, clams. to jus regular dishes such as bun bo hue, rice dishes. We also tried oc dua xao lan, their seafood fried rice which was also yummy as well.

Always get the dozen of grilled clams topped with fried shallots, peanuts, and seasoned with fish sauce. Great starter to our main meal.

The crawfish is taste marinated w savory garlic butter w an order of coconut snails… nice! The fried rices covered in chili pepper was amazing, not to mention an ice cold Heineken to chase it all down. The service was excellent. She even instructed us on the proper technique of snail sucking. Yummy goodness. Clean spot Will def go back …

Bought a group on for 5lbs of crawfish. Was able to easily finish this with my gf. It was a good flavor but would be better if it was a bit spicier. Some of the crawfish was not as fresh but what made up for it was the crab fried rice! The soy sauce with cut up peppers is a delicious sauce that goes very well with the fried rice. Overall I would say hot n’ juicy is a lot better than here but it did it’s job on a late sat night.

We were only customers there when it was MLK Day. I tried the grilled oysters. They were delicious with the peanuts on top, but I wish the sauce was a liiiiiittle spicier! Also, I knocked off a few stars because my friend’s shrimp wasn’t cooked all the way. They have HH food specials from 2−6pm I believe, with $ 2 off anything off the menu. Apparently it doesn’t work for holidays like MLK Day though, boo :(

Went for their seafood hotpot which was excellent. Lots of vegetables and assortment of seafood for the hot pot. The broth was well balanced sweet and spicy with a Thai influenced tom yum flair.

AMAZING! The absolute best and tastiest crawfish I’ve ever had, they cook them in some sort of garlicky special butter sauce that’s just amazing. The soft shell crab over a bed of lettuce and vinegar is just how I remember eating soft shell crabs growing up, delicious! The salted fish fried rice is also another winner, if you’re not familiar with salted fish this is deff a punch to your pallet. The grilled clams with green onion oil is out of this world, perfect brine-y-ness; you can taste the sea, the grill and its a winner. My other favorite would have to be the snails in coconut, if you don’t like snails… You’re missing out. They’re beautiful little morsels of ocean sweetness… Delicate saltiness offset by the sweet coconut milk; dip that in the Nuoc Mam and you’ve got the perfect dish for an ice cold Heinekin. This place is a winner, you must try if you’re in the area. P. S. skip appetizers and go straight for the business.

Some people dislike crawfish because of the high effort to low reward ratio. I would agree, but the reward is so awesome, I’m willing to work hard. These little critters are tossed in a crack-laden sauce a.k.a. Seaside Crab House’s garlic butter and I’d bet a Franklin that you’d eat a shoe covered in this sauce. The crawfish were very plump and I found myself licking as much sauce off their limbs as I could. It’s that good. I have not had the chance to eat Hot ‘n’ Juicy’s crawfish yet, but from what I’ve heard, Seaside’s sauce is not nearly as salty as theirs. You order crawfish by the pound, and two pounds with two side dishes can easily fill four people. The two side dishes that Cat P. and I chose were crab fried rice and salt and pepper calamari on salad. The crab meat was plentiful, but the entire dish was undersalted. This was not a big problem since we were pairing it with the salty crawfish. The squid salad was out of this world; thick, battered calamari rings over a salad made of lettuce, tomato, onion, and bell peppers. I drizzed some nuoc cham on my salad and was immediately in foodie bliss. Overall, a perfect meal with great service. There is outdoor seating, so this is definitely a contender with Lauriol Plaza/Cactus Cantina and Sushi Yoshi in terms of al fresco dining spots. If you’re craving crawfish, skip Chasin’ Tails and Hot ‘n’ Juicy and head here. You can head over to a nearby boba shop for dessert!

Watch out, Hot n Juicy!(Seaside came first though, I believe.) There’s another great spot for amazing crawfish. I’ll be honest-I didn’t check the price for the 2 lbs. of crawfish that we ordered; however, the flavors are just as out-of-this-world as the Woodley Park restaurant. We got an ample helping of the crawfish in garlic butter sauce, mmmmmm. The sauce was so good, I found myself sucking on the shells. I would drink that sauce if it wasn’t so bad for me. Seaside Crab House is more than just a crab house; it’s an awesome destination for all kinds of fish and shellfish dishes. They prepare a fabulous crab fried rice that’s a mellow accompaniment to saucier dishes. The salt and pepper calamari is also very good; the thick curls of fried squid resembled pork rinds and were perfectly cooked. The service is actually decent, and they take reservations(gasp). The relatively clean bathrooms for hand-washing and all other needs is another plus. Happy news(for those who haven’t already discovered this Nova treasure): Subarbanites from Virginia don’t have to venture into the city for finger-licking good crustaceans.

Located in Eden Center where the Asians cumulate outside of downtown DC, this place is known for their grilled/broiled oysters. GRILLED /BROILED OYSTERS Hot damn these are great. They sprinkle peanuts on them… so delicious. The oysters are also very clean and taste great. GRILLED /BROILED CLAMS Just as good as the oysters. I can’t decide which one I like better. Peanuts on these too.
