Like New Automotive

Allow us to give you an actual review, though not on the quality of service but on the the pricing and quotation of this company. We (a few bachelors with nice cars) decided to get our cars detailed. We first started calling to get «over the phone gestimates» before trekking out with 4 cars. After gathering our info we headed out (each to a different company) to get actual costs of detailing our cars. I have the oldest but still in impecable shape lexus. After getting across the board $ 190.00 quotas from each company we all visited I chose to visit «Like New Automotive». To detail my lexus inside and out including everything the other companies offer with the exception that «like new» would do the engine for an «additional charge», this company said my price would be «$ 400.00 and possibly more». Yes, you read that correct. $ 400.00!!! That’s 200.00 more than every other company doing the same exact work. The other estimates were on part with this one double or more of any other company we visted. When we all asked why… we were all answered with «take it up with the boss but that’s what we charge»! So, look around people! Get estimates and by all means weigh your options! This place has ridiculous pricing and terrible attitude!

Like New did a fantastic job bumping out a few dents I had on my car & repairing the headlamp. More importantly, and this is a bit «cliché», the detail cleaning did make my car look «like new»! I was super pleased with the whole job.

I’ve taken my car to Like New twice so far– July 2013 and March 2014. I found the prices to be a bit high, but they do a fantastic job. I’ve taken my car for full detailing to other places and was very disappointed. I rather invest the extra money and get great results. Daniel, the owner, runs a good business. He will call you back if you leave a message. He’ll provide details over the phone, but will recommend to bring your car in for an estimate. You can specify exactly what you want done and there are different levels of auto detailing. I wouldn’t recommend driving in without an appointment. They get very busy, especially as the weather warms up. Also, they spend anywhere from 6 hours to 2 days on a vehicle depending on the extent of the work, so you may be turned away if you just show up. I highly recommend this place.

I took a Chrysler town and country to Danny the owner he said we will make this van look like new. The van needs detail it has hair dog needs serious cleaning they were running a special for $ 140 but I didn’t qualify for the special because of the dog hair so my price was $ 220 and he said regular is $ 295 I left the van 2 days after that I was called to pick up the van from out side it looked great the waxed it interior looked clean and nice I paid and left next day i took the third seat out to make room for cargo and I found piles of dog hair they didn’t touch under the seat I was very upset I called them ! one of his employee answered the phone i addressed my concern he told me we will call you back .
I never heard of them sense that day and I will never go there again. Don’t leave till you check under the seats.

This is the best Detailer in N. Va/​DMV area. There is nothing Danny and the crew cannot do! I religiously bring my vehicle (CTS-​V) in here for a wash and every time I leave a happy customer. They are the only detail shop I let touch my car, I’ve been to every other «reputable» one in the area and like new wins by far! Give these guys a call or just stop by and they will take care of you! Thanks Guys!

I have been here several times for mechanical work and I will continue to come here and have future body work done. They have everything from mechanics to autobody specialist, window tinting and detailing. Their prices are reasonable and realistic. The only issue with this location is lack of space for parking and maneuverability so I highly suggest to allow the employees park and/​or place your vechicle. Also, It can be difficult to spot sometimes but it is located in the same building as Hert.

I had driven by this place a few times and wanted to get a gift certificate for my husband for his birthday. A simple enough request, I thought. Nope. I pulled into the lot and went inside. I asked about any gift cards or vouchers or gift certificates. The lady at the front desk just stared at me. I repeated my request. She seemed just as confused and called someone else over to help me. He said they didn’t have any.
Lesson learned: No, they don’t have gift certificates.)Or maybe they do and they just don’t tell their employees?)
Anyways, I ended up going with Moore’s Luxury Mobile Detailing instead.
P. S. It’s almost impossible to get out of the parking lot. Narrow drive and you have to back out directly onto busy Broad St.

These guys made my Miata look, literally… like new. I just purchased it used from someone on craigslist and I wanted it to look and feel perfect. I got the full detailing inside and out. They did an amazing job, though it took around 6 hours.
The guy who runs it is very friendly and helpful. He seems to take great pride in his business. Always a positive. He can also fix small things, like tears in leather and bad paint jobs on rims. Anyway, I recommend them.

Sounded good when I called on the phone — person was competent and polite.
When I arrived at the Falls Church location for an estimate, things were different. A worker bee took a quick look at the damage to my car door and quoted me $ 550. Knowing this was a rip-​off, I asked him to put it in writing and told him I’d get back to him. Then the games started. «Well, we can actually do $ 500 if you leave your car here now.» I declined and told him I planned to shop around.
He eventually wrote it down — not on an estimate form, but on a formal work agreement. I didn’t sign it (of course) but I did provide my e-​mail address so they could send me a formal estimate. I never heard from them again — no email, as promised.
Maybe this was just an isolated incident — the shop did look pretty nice and I know it just moved to FC. But if they think they’re going to last in The Little City with prices and service like that, they’re sorely mistaken.
I ended up going to Jack’s Auto Body in Bailey’s Crossroads — the estimate was $ 150 less, there was no pressure or gimmicks, and the work was great.

I like this place for three reasons
1. When I called someone answered the phone. I hate calling and not getting a live person to talk to.
2. They have 2 locations so you never have to wait long to get your car washed because if one location can’t take you the other one normally can
3. They did a great job for a decent price. It was $ 35 for hand wash and vacuum.
I will definitely be back.
