Outstanding steak lunch, red neck ravioli and delicious custard sundaes(Bart Simpson and Maui)! We had a coupon in the mail and decided to give it a try without reading the reviews. When you enter(there was only one other table filled) you might be tempted to go another place, but don’t. Food was suburb!!! Desserts were wonderful and oh so fresh. Don’t count calories here but workout before you dine. We will be back again!!! Great job Chef!

Let’s start off greeted at the door by the owner. Once we sat down the owner came over and greeted us again made some suggestions. We had the fried green tomatoes as an app. With a remodule sauce. First time tasted pretty good. For the main course we tried the pizza. This is made fresh every day with a personal Hawaiian and a personal meats. These are large 10″ pizzas but I would say they are much bigger. Fresh is the way to go. For dessert we had the peanut butter chocolate parfait. Oh my is all I can say. Expect about $ 20 per person if you do it this way

This place is operating at a way higher level than one might suspect, due to the location. It’s incredibly refreshing to have no expectation, then finding the finer points of service *actually* happening… the host called us prior to arrival, for our late Brunch reservation. The servers were thorough, polite, and understood the concept of service, too! For example, they took care to pour our sparkling water for us when our glasses were low, which is a nice added service oriented touch. The food is fantastic, and it’s because the chef obviously cares, and is good at his job. You can tell because, just like the proper old world of fine dining, he’s constantly on the floor, observing the guest’s reactions to the food, watching the floor, watching each plate as it goes back to the dish pit. It’s really charming, and rare, to see someone in a spot this quaint and simple go all out with caring about the quality and experience. I have a feeling, as word gets out, this place will just keep improving. This is the type of business you need to support, because with the community I have a feeling things are just going to become more fun and interesting! In my life, I never thought I would say«These are the best chicken tenders I have ever had». LOL. They whipped up a honey mustard, as well, for my father in law. Their sausage and dumpling plates were superb, and those dumblings reminded me of my Czech grandma! =) Thanks good people… we’ll be back when I’m back east! =)

We have been going to Frozen Dairy Bar when it was only a ice cream store. And have seen it go through several iterations over the years. The Frozen Custard remains the main highlight of the restaurant and it is delicious. We have tried the restaurant as well and the food was very good. I had a burger and my family had a pizza.

This was such a treat! I came for dinner with 3 friends and we weren’t quite sure what to expect. Holy smokes was this place GOOD! We started with the yummy duck empanadas, and then people had the bourbon burger(so good!), the Sloppy Joe sandwich(delicious and huge), a pizza(really good and quite large), and I had the short rib gnocchi(I dreamed about it that night– it was that good!). Then we each had sundaes or ice creams– the chocolate, vanilla, and Kahlua flavors were all super delicious!!!

Great food and great service! I had been wanting to try this place for a while and I’m glad I finally did. I got the meatballs and they were delicious. My friend got the po boy and said that was also amazing. Definitely coming back here soon to try the frozen custard and the brunch!

Went here on a whim, because IHOP was full. Food was amazing and so was the service. I wish we had room for desert as ice cream seems to be one of their specialities. We are definitely coming back again!

Just tried FDB Eatery out for the first time since the renovation/relaunch. The service was excellent — very friendly and good ordering recommendations when I asked. Good selection of wine and local beers. The fried green tomatoes were tasty and I appreciated the sort of Mediterranean flare in the seasoning, but the breading a tiny bit mealy. The bangers and mash and the braised short rib gnocchi were fantastic! The sausage in the bangers and mash was delicious and the… everything about the short rib gnocchi was perfect. We will definitely be back.

So I went in tonight thinking I could get a meal here and the idiots at the counter said it’s just all custard. So I left and had Chinese next door instead. And now I see online they offer a whole menu of things I could’ve had for dinner. DUH

Came here looking for a premium burger and found one. The bourbon burger is a good solid flavored burger. The menu is extensive and looks promising, i might come back and try a few other things.

Um this review is short and sweet. Never letting bae pick the food spot ever again. We came here for brunch: server was friendly, mimosas were good. Biscuits and gravy were BOMB. Definitely had high hopes… I order shrimp and grits with a side of sweet potato hash and he orders filet tips. All of the food was disgusting… all of it. It all tasted off. The mushrooms in his filet tips had the worst consistency and I LOVE mushrooms. My shrimp and grits tasted like the base was spoiled. The sweet potato hash tasted like dirt. I was hoping the sundae would save the day but that was nasty too. Im mad that I even walked in this place. Definitely won’t be returning.

I have been eating here for years, but the new menu is amazing. We have had burgers, veal, salads and of course the pizza. The veal dish was so tender and flavorful, very gourmet. The pizza is always good, we have that for takeout often. Tonight we tried the Mediterranean pizza and I think it was one of the best I have had. Artichokes, eggplant, olives, feta, roasted garlic and basil strips so yummy! Definitely give this restaurant a try, you will be very happy you did. Don’t forget the custard for dessert

**3.5 stars** My fiancé noticed FDB as he was going to IHOP one day, so we thought it would be a good idea to check it out. We came on a Saturday night and it was dead on the dining room side but a few people grabbing ice cream on the other side. This restaurant has always been here but it use to only serve ice cream/custards I believe and then they recently added on the dining room side with other foods. We started off with the Neapolitan meatballs which were pretty average, big sized meatballs with tomato sauce and 2 buttery garlic bread. For an entrée, I had the bourbon burger with fried onions, bacon, bourbon sauce and horseradish cheddar. I have to say is one of the top burgers I’ve had. Its a fire grilled, juicy burger that was seasoned to perfection. I loved every part of that burger, EXCEPT the«crisp onions» were more of the fake fried onions that you throw on top of soup and not the onion strings you would think. I think they need to put real onion strings on it and not the fake kind, it would be so much better! I was not a fan of the fries either, they looked like they were from a bag in the frozen aisle. I want fresh fries and if these were fresh they need to season them a lot more. Even with ketchup and ranch, it still did not make it any better. My fiancé ordered the meat lasagna and it had the perfect amount of cheese, lasagna, meat ratio. It came out in a huge bowl that definitely could have been for two people. He enjoyed it. Prices are a little on the higher side from $ 13-$ 25, where the lasagna was about $ 18 and burger was almost $ 14. The menu has a variety of foods from pizzas to carne asada to a lamb burger so there is a lot to choose from. I’d come again but I wouldn’t come often as it is expensive, delicious but pricey. Service was great but then we were the only table there so she really only catered to us. Tip– you can book on Open Table to get your points!!!

We had a brief visit — came in at night for some bananas foster. in the evening. Clearly a new restaurant — the ambience was hard to pin down but the staff was welcoming. Big fans of the dessert and have had it at a number of places — this rendition was very good. The smell of the dish wafted through the restaurant as it was being made. It was very creamy, the bananas were ripe, and we ate super fast but still got to enjoy the caramel hardening as it cooled. The dish was moderately priced and large enough to share. Will definitely order again!

We drove over 40 minutes to find this so called gem. It’s a quiet Sunday afternoon and we are starvin. We get there at 1pm, the server is frazzled and there’s only 3 people in this place? I should have taken the sign the food gods and ran but we decided to stay. The order was simple: Appetizer: fried green tomatos 1 bacon cheese burger medium well 1 shrimp po boy I ask the server politely can you please make sure our fries are hot. Ok so an hour goes by… we get the fried green tomatos. piping hot, but not green tomatos… I think these were a yellow heirloom kind. Crispy and hot but slimy inside. Dipping sauce was good. I ate two to make sure I wasn’t being an over critical jerk and realized I only ate it because I was delirious. Ok so I ask the server please bring out our food while washed the second tomato bite down with flat soda. He brings out an overcooked, super charcoal crispy burger. We gave up! The highlight of the afternoon, we expressed our concerns to the gentleman that ran the place and he said don’t worry about it. We didn’t have to pay for anything. We left hungry… on to the next spot.

First time in here. I was referred by my coworker. I rarely have a sweet tooth but a scoop of vanilla custard always hits the spot. I came here right after work so I could enjoy that $ 3 scoop while I sit in DC traffic to get home lol. It was well worth it! Their prices are very reasonable and they offer a variety of custard flavors, flavor of the day and a variety of waffle cones. I definitely will return and try out their selection of pizza dishes too. 5 stars!

I would stick with their pizza and custards. Highly recommend the Crudo Florentine pizza, it has sliced cured prosciutto ham, roasted tomato, wilted spinach, exotic mushrooms, and mozzarella. Those are probably all my favorite pizza toppings ever and they go so well together! I’ve tried their other food, not bad but not great. I definitely am just sticking with pizza and custards, those are what they do best!

The shrimp pasta has five jumbo shrimp which is unexpected and nice. However, the dish tastes weird and the noodle tastes very soft with no texture at all. The fried chicken is not good either, with very dark brown color outside and no taste at all inside while the white sauce has no taste either. The side mashed potato is VERY salty though. The server disappeared while we are ready for check, I was joking that he might go inside and make ice cream.

Received an email from OpenTable with this restaurant listed. Researched it and decided to give it a try. Now I have a «treat meal» once a week so going to new places is scary. Mess up your one super tasty meal for the week is NOT ok! I was drawn here because I could get everything I wanted in a «one stop shop» burger, pizza, ice cream! Looking at reviews and pictures I knew they all had the potential to be amazing! We started with the baked goat cheese that was swimming in a red pool of red sauce and fresh basil leaves and served with freshly baked Nan bread… creamy goodness! The we ordered the bourbon burger which was so amazing. I classify a burger that I don’t want to dip in ketchup as pretty F***in amazin! This thing had crispy onion straws, bourbon sauce, bacon, and horseradish cheddar… so SERIOUS! We also ordered a Hawaiian pizza topped with smoked ham, the perfect amount of cheese, and the stand put here was the freshly cut big hunks of pineapple… TANGALICIOUS! Me and my incredible hulk split the burger and ½ of the pizza! The remaining go in its own paragraph. THEDESSERT! My daughter ordered a Oh My Oreo shake. Being that it will 6 days and 23 house before I eat sugar again, I had to taste this to make sure it wasn’t poisonous! ITWASN’T but it was pretty dang good! My super sexy hubby had a banana split. Since it says split it is meant to be split… right? The strawberry custard with the bananas and berries and little pieces of peanut… where’s the heart eyed emmoji? On to my order… NO I’M NOTFAT but my six pack is sticking out a tad! The most amazing looking bananas foster was delivered to me. I almost melted with it… the warm bananas in their cinnamon and brown sugar sauce were encompassing the vanilla custard in all the right ways. There was a dollop of whip and a few mint leaves hanging out on the top of this glorious concoction! We are bodybuilders who live in Nike checks all week long. We like to dress up and get out of the house. Our cheat meals are epic events to us and this food was epic. Pulling up to the strip mall type storefront and the lack of customers there had me shaking and worried about my decision to try something new. The inside is tastefully decorated but as my muscle man pointed out, «this doesnt have our normal fancy smancy cheat meal spot feel». Ohhhh lawd I was beyond worried at this point. The staff was«cool». No overly enthusiastic, friendly, or welcoming vibe. They were all nice and attentive just not«warm». I will definitely return!

The old Frozen Dairy Bar & Boardwalk pizza has gotten a facelift! Rechristened FDB Eatery, this old boardwalk-style casual place is brand new and all classed up. The new décor is warm, intimate, with all new finishes and mood lighting. For those of you looking for your frozen custard fix, worry not! The counter is still there to fulfill all your creamy, sugary, dairy needs. Four regular flavors — chocolate, vanilla, zebra, and strawberry, plus a flavor of the day. I haven’t had a chance to sit down and try out the restaurant’s new menu offerings yet, but look forward to heading back for date night!
