I’ve been here multiple times to get some Filipino breakfast when I’m craving my mom’s home cooking. I usually get the bangus(I refuse to cook it at home as that fried fish odor will smell up your house and linger for awhile.) or longanisa and I’ve never been disappointed. The restaurant is small and a little dated, however this place is always SUPERCLEAN. Service is fast and friendly.

I like the food but the servers or owners do have to be more curteous than to say no to some customer requests. I asked for eggs to be poached and they said no we do not poach eggs. I thought maybe they dont know how to do it or was just lazy to do it. Then another day. i ordered fresh lumpia while eating and was told that it would take 45 minutes and i said i jave not even gotten my order yet and it almost seems like she does not want to take my fresh lumpia order. Very un accomodating.

Friendly and attentive staff. Enjoyed the Filipino breakfast items. Especially the garlic rice. Stopped by for breakfast and enjoyed every moment being there. They serve both Filipino and American food. They have an array of juices from mango, pineapple, orange, calamansi and many others. The place is small and the location is slightly hidden but overall can’t complain. food taste absolutely delicious

Hmmm… much like everyone else that is writing a review of this place, I am partial to my mom’s home cooking. The thing about it is, I appreciate other preparations of Filipino food. My friend and I decided to try this place out during our(long) lunch break at work. We started of with some beverages. Their sago is wonderful and not too sweet with lots of gelatin and my friend got the buko juice which was nice and refreshing. We decided to get the shrimp stuffed lumpia, but sadly sent it back. The shrimp inside didn’t look fully cooked and it was not deveined so it looked pretty gross. We decided to switch it with the regular lumpia shanghai which was much better. We split the lechon and the palabok. The lechon was good but the pieces were kind of small and they didn’t seem as fresh as they could have been(maybe ’cause it was a weekday?) and the palabok although tasty was missing all the side condiments(e.g.: hard boiled egg, crushed chicharone, etc.) on top. We finished our meal with the halo halo which was good and perfect end to our meal. Maybe next time I’ll stick to the silogs, but minus the drinks and dessert the meal itself was just okay.

Filipino breakfast is yummy! my boyfriend who is Filipino took me here and he said it’s almost as close as being back home in the Philippines. the diner is kind of old school, but it’s clean and the service is great. the ladies are sweet and make sure you’re greeted & attended to.

This place was kind of small and kind of had a diner feeling to it because of the long counter with bar seating. They serve Filipino food, and the menu has pictures of the food so you don’t have to guess what you’re ordering. I ordered the lechon kawali and my mom ordered the bistek with onions. The service was good and the food came out at a good time. The lechon kawali was good, but I didn’t like the fact that it was completely fried. It was very comparable to chicharon. If it had been less fried, then I would’ve rated this place higher. The bistek was good, though. If you’re ever craving Filipino food and you’re in the Falls Church/Seven Corners area, give this place a try. I wouldn’t drive out of my area for it, though.

I go here at least once a month with my girl. The Filipino food is always delish. My favorite is the Picadillo breakfast and I always take Embutido to go every time I go. The waitresses are always friendly and hand you the Filipino menu and an American menu. It’s a pretty small restaurant and is normally packed around 10am. They are only open for a short period of time and close in the afternoon. I would recommend this place to everyone. 5 stars!

Great breakfast — blueberry pancakes and real maple syrup! Down home(Filipino and American) diner — clean and friendly. We have been going here for several years and sometimes take the whole family(7 adults and 3 toddlers) to all sit at the counter and enjoy watching the short-order cook do her or his work. Pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, Filipino sausage(only with the Filipino breakfast) never fail to please. Nice placemats and casual décor. Did I mention real maple syrup? Where can you find that? A few outside tables for good weather. No view except parking lot.

Located behind a building, in an old medical building, is a good place to go for some Pinoy food. Like others have mentioned, they have 2 menus, that service diverse clientele. We ordered the lechon kawali(deep fried pork belly) with garlic fried rice, pork adobo and shrimp stuffed lumpia… YUMMY! Service was wonderful as well, reminds me of my Titas :) Will be back!

Cyndy’s Bottom Line: Love the lechon and the Filipino breakfast items! Stopped by for breakfast and sat on the counter. Great friendly and attentive service. The lechon is a lunch item but my server was so sweet and nice about accommodating my request for lechon for breakfast. Mahalo! It was so crunchy and tasty. Every morsel was so delicious with the crunchy goodness and the vinegar sauce was made it even more yummy too. The garlic fried rice is flavorful. Coffee is good, rich flavored served in a good size coffee mug.

I’m always complaining because there aren’t many actual filipino restaurants in the area, mostly a la carte at grocery stores, so I’ve been dying to try Fairfax Inn for a while. I finally went there and I’m glad I did. After a night of drinking I really wanted some down to earth comfort food so my wife and I went for breakfast. I had the tapa and my wife had the longanisa. We swtiched halfway through so that we could try each other’s and we both agreed that both were really good! For $ 10 you get meat, garlic rice, and two eggs, definitely not bad. The servers were very friendly even with all of the questions I had about the menu. Overall I would definitely return for breakfast and I can’t wait to try out their lunch or dinner.

This little restaurant is located off the beaten path(aka on a side road off the horrid 7 corners intersection) but it has a lot of charm. The restaurant is small but serves great Filipino comfort food. My boyfriend and I ordered the tapa and tocino(both $ 9.99). The meats were fresh and hot and the dishes came with a side of eggs and garlic fried rice. We were a bit disappointed that they left off the achara, but we completely forgot after we mixed together and dishes and bit into the hot, juicy meat. Delicious and hit the spot after washing it all down with fresh coffee. Perhaps some would say it’s a bit pricey for breakfast, but it’s definitely worth supporting this small business and the lovely people who run it.

I absolutely love love love this place. It’s like going to your grandma’s kitchen… solid food from real people with real character. Location is tucked off to the side of 7 corners in the first floor of a medical office building so that’s not going to help them. Inside the place is very small and unassuming. Love the counter and direct view of all the food. Now this wasn’t my grandma cooking — no Pilipino blood in these veins, but loved my tocino with garlic rice and eggs over easy. And maybe my favorite part was that at no point did anybody ask me how my food was or if anything was ok. That’s right… they know what they’re doing, you get a solid meal, and if you need something more, then you have to speak up(that said, they were very nice).

Not quite as good as mom’s but close enough! Can’t go wrong with the bangus, longaniza or tocino with eggs and garlic fried rice. No frills, no fuss, just good traditional Filipino breakfasts.

I would consider this spot to be the occacsional brunch splurge. The filipino breakfast is great and all, but double the price of what you’d pay at their nearby counterparts. The one thing that sets this place aside from the others are that your tapsilog(or any silog) is made to order, and not mass cooked like the others. So I guess you just need to ask yourself if the extra $ 4.50 — $ 5 is worth it. To me, the answer is yes, but only every now and then. Next time we go, I’ll try the halo halo because it does look pretty good. We just didn’t have enough room on our first trip. PS. They didn’t honor my check-in coupon, so YMMV

Cozy and clean diner-like atmosphere with something for everyone. Because my hometown is severely lacking in good Filipino food, I always order off the Filipino menu. Food has been delicious both times I have been here and my own opinion was validated by my in laws today. Service is fast and attentive. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Will stop by often when in the area!

I am very partial to my mom’s traditional filipino cooking, as she cooks very traditional filipino food to the T. But this place hits a bit close to home. For a quick filipino food craving, i would definitely hit up this place. The service is pretty good, and the food is delicious as well. They have traditional lechon, tapsilog, bistek and lumpia. Everyone should definitely try this restaurant. There’s not a lot filipino restaurants around the area, but i think this place serves a TON of traditional filipino food.

I am mad that this does not show up in Unilocal when you search Filipino restaurant — I had to do an intensive research(jumping from fellow Filipino Unilocalers to another) to find this! Could it because of the name? Environment: it’s located in this weird medical building but there is plenty of parking! The place is quaint; it’s tiny but it has that homey feel and boy, does it smell HEAVENLY in there! The tables can only seat 4 people(I think there are only 6 tables) but you can sit at the cafeteria style seats. Like I said, the place is tiny and there are very little room to wiggle around. Did I said it smells heavenly in there??! Service: the staff are busy so they’re not very attentive. If nobody greeted you at the door, just sit anywhere and wait for one of the server to give you the menus and take your order. If you need time to think, I highly suggest you ask the menu first before sitting down. Food: OMG, I absolutely fell inlove with this place(even though service is mediocre, the food makes up for it) that I will make a special 40 minute trip rather than go to two Filipino restaurants down the street!!! I can only review the ones I ordered: — Filipino breakfast: tocino, 2 fried eggs and garlic rice. I don’t care if you don’t like garlic, you NEED and MUST order the garlic rice — you will not regret it! Tocino is not as sweet as I remembered however, it was so heavy(and greasy in a good way) that you need to order soda to wash it down. I will be back to try out more of their breakfast options! $ 9 — The American breakfast platter: consist of eggs, home fries, bacon and pancakes. The highlight of this meal are the pancakes — it’s hard to describe it but it is way better than IHOP. $ 10 — Avocado shake: very very creamy and it’s sweet. I ended up taking it to go and added milk to make it less thick. $ 5 — Halo halo: it’s not the best however, it is better than the two Filipino restaurants in my area. $ 6 They serve breakfast all day and during weekends they close at 3pm. Don’t forget to tip!

Finally a place where I can go to represent my Fat Kid Filipino side! I have known about Fairfax Inn’s secret Filipino menu for years now but never took the chance to visit it until one lazy thrift store/Target/storage unit errand Sunday with the boy. Located in a random medical access building, I had no idea it was almost directly across the street from my favorite food mecca Eden Center. When I opened the menu, my eyeballs literally did back flips at all of the delicious Pinoy choices on the menu. Literally the hardest part of my day was deciding what to eat: I could get a traditional Filipino breakfast of tocino, tapa, fried bangus(milkfish), corned beef and eggs or a merienda of pancit, lumpia, dinuguan, sinigang, or lechon. I finally decided on the corned beef with two sunny side eggs and a side of garlic fried rice as well as an order of lumpia shanghai to share with the boy. Everything was perfectly cooked, and artery clogging authentic. My Lola would have been proud! The service was friendly and the décor kitschy. I will be a regular here!
